A PERFECT VACATION SPOT! Montgomery House By The Sea is a fabulous 8 acre estate with a commanding view of beautiful Malpeque Bay. It is surrounded by fields, an orchard of 75 organic apple trees, and two acres of cut grass. It boasts a traditional Island century home and a carriage house that was just renovated this year . If you are looking for the quintessential Anne of Green Gables home - look no further!

Montgomery House is located in a small community of private summer homes. The Main House and Carriage House have been lovingly restored and equipped with every modern amenity. The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds. However, the home's most spectacular feature is its tranquil bayside location, with the sea just steps from your front door.

Rent the Montgomery (Main) House &/or its Carriage House by the week. Renters of the Montgomery House get first right of refusal to rent the Carriage House. Those renting both Houses get a reduced high season rental rate on the Carriage House. We do not rent the Carriage House prior to someone booking the main home for a given week.

Family gathering to explore PEI
The property is somewhat remote and therefore quiet. The house was comfortable; the carriage house was quite musty until we aired it out. We explored the nearby "beach," which is walkable but not a swimming beach. The best beach was Thunder Cove, which was great for swimming, not nearly as crowded as Cavendish and had marvelous red cliffs, coves and monoliths to explore. We spent one morning just playing in the yard -- frisbee, croquet (though there were only 2 wickets; we fashioned more out of twigs) and corn hole. The firepit and hammocks were a hit, though the mosquitoes chased us away at dusk. And the sunsets were splendid.

Wonderful period property
The property easily accommodated our mini family reunion made up of 8 adults, and 8 grandchildren ages 6 to 17. There was lots of room inside and especially outside for playing soccer, softball etc.

Fits The Bill
We had 16 family members between the two houses and managed to squeeze everyone in. Lovely grounds to be sure. The houses have a lot of wear and tear due to their age but the superintendent, Richard, was there when we had issues and it all worked.

All smiles ,lighthearted and well rested with few distraction but to enjoy the beauty.
We had a wonderful family reunion of 3 generations this past July. Our grand children had so much fun exploring the vast outdoors picking cherries , flowers and running through the apple orchard. One highlight was the walk down the lane to the beach. We rented both houses and found them very comfortable. I will long cherish this peaceful and charming place. Carol and Ed Turnier
