The house was clean and well furnished. It was just what we were looking for.
Out of the way but still convenient
My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend in July with our two college-aged sons and we all enjoyed this property. The home is away from the city hassles (although the road in front of the home is somewhat busy at times) but is still convenient to grocery stores and restaurants. Lake Stevens is a gorgeous area and the weather for our stay was perfect for a bunch of Texans tired of the summer heat!
Finding the home was simple even though we were not familiar with the area and arrived well after dark around 11:00pm. Check in was a breeze and we quickly settled in as we were tired from traveling all day. We found that the house had everything we needed, including a washer and dryer, stocked kitchen facilities, an outdoor grill, and an excellent deck attached to the rear of the home overlooking a spacious and attractive back yard. The beds were comfortable and each of our sons had their own rooms, with our older son using the front bedroom and our younger one using the "bunk room" upstairs. Cable TV and wifi was also provided and worked well.
We would definitely be happy to stay here again!
Great property with enough beds for everyone
Nice tall ceiling and big backyard
Old cozy home needed work
There was everything we needed in the kitchen and bedrooms except for a few things. Because this house was old, there was a problem with the garbage disposal, shower faucet, missing a light bulb in the kitchen which made it dark, and our room only had one hanger. I emailed Jeff, no response, so I called Jennifer the next morning and no returned call the entire day. Jeff emailed later that he would bring hangers and take a look at the shower the next day. We were out the entire day and came back with hangers on the table and light bulb changed. Upset that nothing else was fixed and no call to explain why, I called Jeff. He said the faucet wasn't broken, little hard to move up and down but it works. Ok so my husband will have to do it for us weak women, what about the garbage disposal?! That he couldn't do anything because there's no power it. We had a clogged sink and he wasn't willing to fix it unless he breaks it apart while we're there. Frustrated at his unapologetic attitude, I got off the phone with him and decided I would write this review after I have some time to cool off. Also no response from Jennifer the entire time even though the book on the table said they respond right away.
Spacious home just right for a family gathering
We completely enjoyed our stay in this home while attending family wedding festivities in nearby Snohomish. The house is a very short walk from Lake Stevens, where we had to stroll along the waterfront. It was only a short trip to Everett and Monroe, and we even made it to the seaside at Mukilteo Beach. The beds and pillows were comfortable and all the towels and linens are new and of good quality. Ample parking was a plus. With coordination we managed the one bathroom okay and were glad to see the hot water tank was the on-demand kind, so the hot water the didn't run out. We had plenty of space for everyone to spread out and were very happy staying here!
