We enjoyed our stay in Toronto. Jim’s home was very nice. There were only 6 of us , so there was way more than enough room. All the beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything necessary to prepare meals. The girls loved the hot tub. The description said downtown was about 20 minutes away with the horrible traffic it always took us at least 35 minutes but there was a lot of construction. The only thing we were not happy with was the internet , it was extremely slow. Everything else was awesome! We had a lot of fun riding the bikes in the neighborhood, that was very nice to offer the guests use of the bikes .
Myself and a group of friends rented this property at the end of May and we were not disappointed. As soon as we entered the house we were all in awe! It is beautiful, spacious and well kept.
We loved the main lounge/kitchen area as this is where we spent most of our times just hanging out and enjoying the views into the garden. All rooms are spacious and comfortable, - it really felt like a home away from home!
We used the provided bikes to go cycling around the neighbourhood - one of the highlights of our stay as the area is beautiful. We also thoroughly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub as well as hosting a game night in the bar area downstairs.
Jim and Linda were very attentive and answered any questions we had promptly! Honestly, if you are thinking of booking this property then do it - you won't be disappointed.
Stunning Reunion Place for the Immediate Family
As an American who did four years’ grad work at University of Toronto, Toronto’s my favorite city in N. America. And Scarborough Bluffs is one of my favorite places in Toronto. So I was delighted when my wife, Susan, suggested this lovely home on Springbank for celebrating my 75th bday. It exceeded expectations. Spacious, gracious, and full of light, with a front porch and back patio that feed long conversations, a kitchen for serious cooks like our family, and a huge dining room that easily accommodates over 12. Plenty of easy parking in the driveway. And Jim, the owner, was attentive and friendly without being obtrusive. We’d definitely come back.
We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. Happy 75th.
My guest have left as of yesterday and what a wonderful experience they had at this beautiful house. My guests said their stay was just like if they were at their own homes . Once again big thanks to Jim for letting us stay in this very beautiful house!!!😃
Stunning home, beautiful location
We came for a family wedding and reunion, traveling together with our children and grandchildren. Every need that we had was met including furniture for the baby and toys for the little ones. Jim was a very attentive host and we can't thank him enough for the use of his beautiful home. We look forward to staying here again should we be traveling with a group again!
Thanks for your kinds words. Come back and visit us again.
Great family holiday home
This home was very well appointed, 20 mins drive from downtown and easy access to the road network. Home was stunning, we had an active holiday but we spent a few days of our break just enjoying the house and everything in it. There are bikes in the garage that we were able to cycle down to the woods and parks. Lake view out of some windows and close enough to supermarkets to go food shopping. Jim, the host, was very helpful and quick to respond to even my most trivial enquiries. Kids enjoyed the hot tub and hanging out in the basement. The master bedroom was more like a suite - large and spacious. We are already discussing our next trip back and staying at this lovely home. Thank you Jim for allowing us to stay in this incredible accommodation.
Thanks for the excellent feedback. You were great guests. Glad that you are thinking of another visit.
Parks trails and ravines abound. Step out the front door and you are on Toronto’s Water Front Trail which stretches along Lake Ontario from the Niagara-on –the -Lake region to the St. Lawrence River. The Birchmount Community Centre and Variety Village are both a block or two away and offer fitness facilities, large indoor pools and many activities for adults and children all year long. Scarborough Arts Council’s gallery is at the end of the street , as well as Rosetta McClean Park. This 23 acre formal garden has spectacular views of the lake, gorgeous gardens/ old growth trees and is a bird watchers mecca.
A farmers market opens in the summer on weekends and a small shopping area with restaurants, coffee shops and stores are all within a minutes’ walk. Within a kilometre are several grocery stores and retail shops. Public transit is available a block up the street providing convenient access to the subway or street cars. Toronto's downtown is 15 minutes away, Canada's Wonderland is a 30 minutes drive and the Toronto Zoo is 20 minutes away. Walking distance to several restaurants. Great Location for bird watching and nature hikes. Conveniently located to attend the Beaches Jazz Festival and various sporting events including Leafs hockey, Raptors basketball, Argos football and TFC soccer.
