Reviewer Comments:

I was so happy with this rental. There was plenty enough space for me and seven friends. We enjoyed two trips to Traverse City as well as a couple of trips to Lake Michigan and the dunes. I would highly recommend this place and will come back in the future.

Reviewer Comments:

Cute house but details neglected. We still enjoyed ourselves but you should be aware of a few things so you aren't disappointed. 1) the windows in the house do not stay open on their own. Some had pieces of wood to prop them open but others had nothing so we had to go outside and get firewood to prop them open. Additionally it took two people to open almost all of the windows. 2) the screen for the sliding door you see in the front of the house is ripped along the bottom and then the entire length of the screen there is open space which meant that at night we were unable to sit in the dining room and play cards with the door open because before we knew it the house was filled with bugs. 3) Kitchen cupboards missing knobs and left with screw sticking out instead, 4) Recliner chair missing a part between the chair & footrest with the part laying on the floor by the chair. 5) window sills and slider track filthy. 6) bedroom mattress so loud it could be heard from the next room.

Just the right amount of space inside for the 5 of us. More would have been crowded.

Home on Hickory. It was absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed everything about this place. The big front porch. The big kitchen. Close to small towns and restaurants. We will definitely be returning

Reviewer Comments:

We just returned from our first visit to the Sleeping Bear Dunes area and this house was perfect for our family of five. The putt putt in the basement was a huge hit for our three kids and we made good use of the kayaks and canoes on the lake, just a short walk from the house. The Trading Post down the street is a easy walk and has everything you need (milk, firewood, etc.). The house is located just a short drive from Empire and Frankfurt, and most importantly, Sleeping Bear Dunes and the Glen Arbor areas. We visited the dune climb several times, hiked around the Ghost Forest, and enjoyed a bite to eat at Boondocks in Glen Arbor. We kayaked the Crystal River (so clear and peaceful!) and rode our bikes along the Heritage Trail. Traverse City is only 20 -30 minutes away - an easy drive and a great little town on the water. The house itself has everything you need for a family of five - propane grill and fire pit in the backyard (we happened to bring our hammock too and there were two trees that seemed to be waiting for it!), beautiful front porch for morning coffee, two bedrooms on the first floor, and one larger bedroom on the second with a private bathroom. There's a neat little area upstairs with an X-Box and futon too. Washer/dryer in the basement (bring your own detergent). There is no blender but we brought one.

Reviewer Comments:

My family had to travel for Christmas rather unexpectedly this year. My younger sister and I both brought our families and had a wonderful time in the cabin. There were nine of us all together and we had plenty of room. The mini putt putt course in the basement was a hit with every member of our party, and it was delightful to have a nice big kitchen to cook and share meals in. Visit Up North was easy to work with, too. The staff was friendly and knowledgable. Thanks for everything!

Take a drive back in time to the quaint towns of Honor and Beulah. Beulah is a neat little place to grab some ice cream at the Dairy King, canoe the Platte River, or head to the Cherry Bowl Drive-In for some old-fashioned fun at the movies. This little town features a Click for Honor, Michigan Visit cafe's delis and of course the Cherry Hut for “up north” tasty cherry treats. You can also enjoy some putt-putt golf or bowling. With all this to do, don’t forget swimming at Beulah Beach or beautiful Crystal Lake which is 9 miles long and is just a short drive from town. Lake Michigan is west of town. About 10 minutes to Interlochen and 20 minutes to Traverse City. Crystal Mountain in Thomsonville offers amazing winter activities–skiing, sledding, ice skating! And, in the summer, enjoy the golf and the alpine slide!
