This beautiful custom mountain home, built in 2010, offers the peaceful sounds of Trew Creek and great views of Black Bear Ridge and the Weminuche Mountains. If you dream of getting away from the hustle and bustle, this home is for you. It is only 3 miles south of Lemon Lake, which offers great trout fishing, water sports, and camping. Surrounded by a National Forest, the best hiking trails, mountain biking and hunting await you. In the winter, step out the front door to enjoy sledding, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Only 12 miles from downtown Durango, a short scenic drive takes you to the best shopping, restaurants, and nightlife in Durango. This home can house several families, business outings, hunting groups, or skiing parties. We can provide pick-up and drop-off at Durango airport or arrange travel to area ski resorts and guided trips. Don't waste your vacation time shopping at the grocers. We are happy to do the shopping for you. Create a shopping list in advance of your stay and relish in the convenience of a fully stocked kitchen with the groceries you need.

Great house

I would highly recommend this home. I took my kids and dog for a week over Spring Break. The home is nicely tucked away in the mountains about 15 minutes from town. It was a hot spring, so no snow in town, but tons on the property still, which made my kids very happy. Pretty views and a nice creek runs thru the property. Marco is a gracious host and worked hard to make sure we were happy. I certainly hope I get the chance to return.

Big place but had some issues

We were there between Christmas and New Years. The place is big and does sleep many but its not conducive to multiple couples as many of the rooms just have bunk beds. The owner was a very nice guy but unfortunately we had some issues:

Sulphur smell in water is not gone as described. Very strong stink.

Upstairs gas fireplace not working

Jacuzzi tub in master not hooked up to any water

Lots of snow fell and we had to clear the driveway on our own to get out

Had to clear stairs to house ourselves

When we arrived we had to dig out the firepit ourselves

Owner did not respond to our requests for 4 days to clear the snow

Floors were extremely dirty

Pool table pockets were broken so we fixed them

Internet is very unstable (but you are in the mountains)

Beautiful home and property!! The snow was perfect, kids had a blast!!

It was a great house, lots of room for our party of 10 and more to spare!!! We had a great time for Christmas, couldn't have asked for better weather or accommodations!! I will say that you really need 4 wheel drive in the winter if there is snow. I have a Yukon and we had no problems. Thanks again for a great Christmas vacation!!

Awesome Mountain Home!!

I visited Durango at the beginning of October and was fortunate to stay at the this awesome property while there. It's a beautiful home, with plenty of space, that families or groups will really enjoy. Nestled in the San Juan mountains, there are views from several points of the house that makes waking up with a cup of coffee, lunch on the deck, or sitting on the 3rd floor balcony, a highlight of the day. Kids will really love the creek that runs through the front of the property, and the fire ring for nighttime story-telling. There are all kinds of outdoor activities close to the home. As a matter of fact, writing this review really makes me look forward to the next time I visit! Highly recommended!

Overall, a great getaway house

We had a group of 8 adults and 14 kids and everyone fit fairly well. We really enjoyed the outside fire pit. The kids loved playing by the stream and in the tree house. The water did have a sulfur smell pretty much the entire time. Moving and parking trailers was a little difficult with the long narrow drive, but we were able to manage. We also had a couple close calls with people falling down the loose natural stone stairs leading up to the front door. Overall, we had a really good time, however.

This beautiful mountain home is spacious and a great place for family get-togethers.

Our family enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, spacious mountain home. There were lots of bedrooms and play areas, not to mention a well stocked kitchen and huge diningroom table for games and meals. There were many unique features as the front door. We loved the deck and BBQ grill also. The owner was friendly and helped us with any questions or problems we had.

Durango, CO is a a beautiful mountain town, tons to see and do. Wonderful restaurants in downtown Durango, hard to go wrong. For an amazing morning coffee and bakery to die for check out 'Bread', its about a 12 min drive from the house. You won't be disappointed.
