Overview

About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (6 adult beds plus 2 children beds)

Lovely, clean, tastefully decorated lakefront home with deck and lawn overlooking dock, lake and surrounding hills, all in total privacy. Ample fenced-in parking. Kitchen, family-room combination has large windows facing the lake with views of hills, lake and abundant wildlife. House sleeps 6 adults and can accomodate 2-3 children on floor-futons.

Home has knotty-pine cathedral ceilings throughout, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Master bedroom is upstairs with large window overlooking lake, queen bed and tumbled-marble bathroom with walk-in shower. Downstairs are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, and one with two single beds and a loft with a double futon (children under 12 yrs not allowed in loft). The second bathroom is downstairs and has a granite vanity with a marble floor and bath-tub/shower combination.

The fully-stocked kitchen has a Bosch convection oven and glass-top stove. There are 4 counter seats and a kitchen table which also accomodates 4 people. The living room has a large TV and stereo with DVD and CD players.

The east-facing back deck is elevated above the lawn and water, offering a fantastic view of water sports right in the. Enjoy the beautiful sunrise with your morning coffee on the deck. The deck is very spacious and has a gazebo for shade during the sun-drenched mornings and early afternoon (cooling afternoon shade is provided by the house). Enjoy the fabulous sunsets and star gazing with your evening glass of wine.

Our house is located in a wide cove that is well sheltered from the wind, thus we are able to leave our boat at the dock overnight. The area boasts the calmest waters for summer water sports.

Clear Lake is nationally known for its Largemouth Bass fishing. Fishing tournaments are held on the Lake year-round. Our cove is a popular fishing spot for high yeilds of Bass.

Our back yard enjoys frequent visits from an abundance of local wild life--including various species of ducks, herons, grebes, geese, pelicans, a pair of white swans, red-tailed hawks, osprey, deer, turtles, muscrats as well as a family of river otter who frolic on the dock during sunset hours.

Fall and winter are especially peaceful and pleasant times to enjoy the wild life.

The house is conveniently located to food markets, restaurants, wineries and casinos. The property is secured by fencing all around.

Why Judi chose North Lakeport

My family loves boating and watersports. We were first introduced to the Lake as kids, spending quality family time at our grandfather's cabin here. We've visited other California lakes but feel Clearlake offers more boating and boarding space, and thus more safety because of it's large size. Also we feel this area is 'up and coming' because of the expansive growth of the wine industry in Lake County.

What makes this house unique

We enjoy the Lake year round. The summer mornings are warm and peaceful-- we love to have breakfast on the deck overlooking the water watching the Western Grebes perform their mating dance, and the ducklings and goslings parading after their moms.

In the fall there are literally hundreds of White Pelicans that swoop in and land in our cove to feed on the abundant fish. It truly is a sight to behold.

Fantastic place at the lake

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the lake house in August 2017 and had a great time. The view from the house is awesome! The house is fully equipped and we particularly enjoyed the kayaks - especially the sunset kayak trips.

We were with 2 kids and 2 adults and had plenty of space; we actually had one bedroom spare.

All in all a wonderful place that we will get back to.

Amazing home and host!!!

  • 5 of 5

Our group of 4 anglers had an amazing time on clearlake and at this home. Besides an amazing week of fishing at the one of the best bass lakes in the country, this home was the cherry on top when it came to location accommodations and overall comfort. The home has everything you need and more for an awesome time at clearlake: parking for 2 boats/trucks, market right across the street for stuff you forgot to buy at the super market, property is gated for security and privacy, a dock in a protected area and so much more. The pictures on the site do not do the home justice, you will be pleasantly surprised! Book this home you will not regret it. Thank you to our wonderful host - WE WILL BE BACK :-)

Great Family Escape

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 6, which includes 4 young adults had a wonderful stay in this home. It was comfortable and fully stocked. We took the kayaks out straight from the house's dock every day and explored the lake. The owner, Judi was absolutely wonderful to work with. She answered all my questions and even made arrangements for us to arrive a little early when our plans changed at the last minute. She was so responsive and flexible, we really appreciated her.

Best place to re-energize and relax

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 6 adults and our little dog, too were in this welcoming, open house for 4 nights and had a great time. Judi, the owner, was great to work with and we appreciated the hospitality of her vacation rental. The home, deck, view, and proximity to stores, restaurants, and marinas made this a great vacation for us all.

Beautiful house, welcoming hostess

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a week in June. This house has a lovely, open architecture which makes the most of the natural light, and its lakefront location. The pictures are accurate but don't do justice to the spectacular view you'll have day and night.

The owner was so welcoming we felt like friends borrowing the house more than renters. We were very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed to make the most of our vacation, not just the kayaks (which were perfect for skimming along the lake), but also a washing machine, dishes, kitchen utensils (we made a birthday cake!), and a variety of DVDs to watch so we had a family movie night each night, and more. The house is only 2 miles away from "downtown" Lakeport, which is the center of Lake County, so we didn't have far to go for groceries, a festival, or other entertainment. In Lakeport, you'll find a quirky bookstore, a video game store with a knowledgeable owner, and even a bowling alley.

We were a family of 4 and it was just the right size for us. We didn't have a pet, but if you have a small dog, bring it to chase the poopy ducks off the deck.
