About Eileen

My husband I acquired this wonderful home in Truro with its amazing beaches and the National Shoreline to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. The home is also in proximity to all of the happenings, shops and art galleries in Provincetown and Wellfleet.

Eileen purchased this house in 2013

Why Eileen chose Cape Cod

This exceptional property has many recent updates and is in close proximity to the beach and National Shoreline. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood perfect for family vacations and those wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still easily accessible to the tourist environment of Provincetown.

What makes this house unique

Our home has a fabulous yard with mature flowering plantings and bocce ball court. Outdoor seating with gas grill lets you enjoy your outdoor dining. There is private outdoor shower for cleaning off after the beach. New Ethan Allen living room furniture. Each bedroom has french doors leading to an outdoor deck. Each bedroom also has sky lights allows you to enjoy the sunlight and count the stars. You can view the ocean, sunsets and Pilgrim's Monument from the upstairs deck and loft area. The lower level entertainment area comes complete with wet bar, ping pong table, electronic dartboard, cable t.v. and air hockey. All linens and towels are provided. Newer cooking utensils allow you to prepare your favorite gourmet meals. Newly added mini-split air conditioning system to the main room, master bedroom and window air conditioner for remaining 2 bedrooms.

Welcoming and Peaceful

This home was perfect for our family. We were comfortable. We felt as though every one of our possible needs and wants were anticipated and met. The grounds were beautiful and maintained. We most certainly will be back and recommend it to friends and family.

Welcoming + Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We could not have felt more at home in this peaceful and relaxing setting. The accommodations were comfortable, the kitchen well supplied and additional recreational amenities for everyone in our party. It was conveniently located near Provincetown and the beach was a two minute walk. We most definitely will be back.

Truly a home away from home.

  • 5 of 5

This was our 4th visit to Cape Cod and the second time we rented. The owners description doesn't do justice to the house and it's surroundings. The house and gardens are immaculate with every convenience imaginable. We had three adults and three children in our party ages 11,9 and 7. The kids made full use of all the facilities both inside and outside. They all agreed that this was the best vacation they had ever had. We adults loved the location of the house. It's on a quiet lane just easy walking distance to Cold Storage Beach. We were a 10 minute drive tote Head of the Meadow beach. The family likes the Head of the Meadow Beach the best due to the better surf you get there, the Bay side beaches don't get the waves and are better suited to younger families.

One tip for retired adults is to get the senior pass for National parks. This costs just $10 for life membership. You get free entry to all national parks and all the occupants of your car are allowed in free. This means you don't have to purchase any parking permits for the National park beaches. The price for a weekly Town beach pass is $50!

We ate out three times with our vacation, twice in Provincetown and once at the local pizzeria. Provincetown was very busy and the best meal we had was at the Mayflower café. This is more of a diner than a café but the food was good and very enjoyable particularly when you have younger "pickier" eaters. The local shop "The Salty Market" was very convenient and accommodating.

Our whole family would not hesitate to recommend this rental, it's one of the best.

Wonderful, comfortable home on great property

  • 5 of 5

This was our second two-week stay at this lovely North Truro home and we'll be back for more. From morning coffee on the top deck, to all the amazing shady garden nooks and great porches to settle down and read or just decompress - if you'd like a private oasis to get away this is a great home away from home. This house is a five minute walk from Cold Storage Beach on the bay and a quick drive to nearby ocean beaches, and the rest of the immediate neighborhood offers scenic walking or cycling opportunities and views. The house is close to the newish Salty market that sells PB Boulangerie bread, sandwiches, wine, and other groceries and Chequesett Chocolate that has the best coffee, smoothies, and other treats in town. The kitchen is very well equipped, the living spaces are very comfortable, and we shared many great meals with our family and friends who stay close by. This home has nice light and space, air flow, quality furniture and decor, and a cool basement with ping pong table, with a great set up to watch movies or hang out on any rainy days or evenings. The gardens are gorgeous - so many flowers and plantings to enjoy - there were lots of fresh herbs to use. Several early mornings, a little fox arrived to eat cherries that had fallen on the ground from a cherry tree. There was a resident rabbit who was often on the grass munching the clover. We couldn't wait to get there and we were sad to leave!

Wonderful house & property

  • 5 of 5

My family has been coming to Truro for over twenty years. We stay two weeks and have other family & friends stay nearby. This was our first time in this home and we really enjoyed it. The house is situated on a lovely, private property in a beautiful section of north Truro. We've seen birds of all kinds, chipmunks, foxes, and frogs! It's just a short walk to Cold Storage Beach, and the immediate neighborhood and area is very walkable and picturesque. It's a short walk to Pilgrim Pond, the new Salty Market, and other small markets or cafes. The house has great open living spaces with lots of light and nice, comfortable, new furniture. Everything is updated. The kitchen is very well equipped with great flow in terms of preparing meals and access to the other living spaces. The house has lots of both shady or sunny porches and outside space; the garden is beautiful with mature plantings - even peach & apple trees. My family enjoyed the bocce ball court out back, and the ping pong table in the lower level got a good work out. back. The beds are comfortable and there is even air conditioning for those hot or muggy days. The outdoor shower is private and the house has plenty of spacious, new bathrooms. We hope to stay here again.
