Located on the 'warm side of the Canadian Rockies,' Radium Hot Springs is a mountain getaway village with great dining, golfing, skiing, natural hot spring pools, and beautiful alpine scenery.

Radium is located just a short 3-hour drive from Calgary, Alberta, at the south entrance of Kootenay National Park.

The Radium Hot Springs are odourless pools surrounded by natural rock walls. The naturally hot water will soak away your worries and relieve tired or sore muscles. There is also a 20 meter cool pool for exercise or just to cool off.

Radium Hot Springs is located on the Columbia River, between the Rocky Mountain and the Purcell Mountain Ranges. The view from our deck overlooks the Purcells.

This small, visitor-friendly community is busy with activities, special events and attractions. Whether it be our championship golf courses, whitewater rafting, hiking, fishing, trail riding, mini-golf, shopping or just relaxing in one of our many fine restaurants, you will find all you need to enjoy a fabulous holiday.

If skiing is your pleasure, we are only a 45 minutes drive from Panorama, 30 minutes from Fairmont and 60 minutes from Kicking Horse Ski Resorts. We are 90 minutes from Banff and Lake Louise. Several very popular cross-country skiing trails are featured in the valley. Our mountains boast some of the finest snowmobiling in the Rockies, with miles of groomed trails and many picturesque backcountry areas are available for the enthusiast.

Big horn sheep, both mule and whitetail deer, bear and elk are seen throughout the Columbia Valley and the national parks.

The mighty Columbia River flows past the edge of our village and is bordered by the largest, continuous wetlands in North America. In May of each year there is a bird festival, 'Wings Over The Rockies', which attracts bird watchers from around the world.

About Ron Coulombe

Brenda and Ron have been married for 35 years and have two grown children. We enjoy tennis, golf, hiking, reading and the hot springs. When we arrive it takes us about 5 minutes on the deck to totally forget about the city.

Ron Coulombe purchased this house in 2007

Why Ron Coulombe chose Radium Hot Springs

We have been vacationing in the Columbia Valley for over 30 years and liked it so much we decided to purchase a property here. We love the Hot Springs.

What makes this house unique

The weather is great. Hot in the summer, yet we still experience all four seasons.

The wildlife, often seen in the back yard is exceptional: deer, sheep, goats, American bald eagles, hummingbirds, wild turkeys and more.

Great small town atmosphere with internet cafe, pizza joint, pub, good restaurants, grocery store, liquor store all within a 15 minute walk.

Fantastic

  • 5 of 5

This place is everything and more. Beautiful place to stay with all the comforts of home.

There is nothing lacking. Great place with a fantastic view. Everything was very clean and comfortable.

We went in the summer so the a/c was a welcome addition to our stay.

Neighbors on both sides were very friendly and nice as well.

I am sure that we will be back.

If you are looking for a place to stay in Radium check this place out first.

Great home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

The home is in a perfect location to view the mountains, enjoy wildlife and a great walk into town for the paper and a coffee. Our family of 6, enjoy the open space upstairs and down along with 2 decks to hang out on.

With over 25 years for annual visits to Radium, this our favorite place to stay.

Thanks Ron and Brenda

Fabulous five-star home

  • 5 of 5

We visited Radium with three other friends in early August and were fortunate to stay in this amazing luxurious home. We were thrilled with the amount of space indoors and out. We couldn't have asked for more: the kitchen was fully equipped with anything we could have possibly required, there was an abundance of games & sports equipment in the garage, the neighbours were friendly and welcoming, and the wildlife were welcome guests! Great weekend - we will definitely be returning. Thanks Ron!

Wonderful place to stay

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay. Wonderful views from the condo. Very well equipped kitchen which was great as we prefer to do our own cooking. Ron was very easy to deal with and prompt at answering a couple of minor questions/concerns we had. I would highly recommend this condo and would certainly consider it again when traveling to Radium.
