We are a family of four from Rochester, NY
The Owner purchased this cottage in 2002
As a child, my family vacationed in the 1000 Islands region. When I was about 13 or 14, my parents bought a cottage in Thousand Island Park. My siblings and I LOVED it. My wife and I decided that we wanted our kids to be able to enjoy this place as much as I did.....so we purchased this cottage.
My family enjoys the water. Not only do we enjoy being in it and on it, but we love to look at it. This cottage affords you the ability to do all of them. We spend most of our days boating, fishing, and swimming. If the kids aren't doing that, they are up at the playground with all of the other kids from the Park. At night, we often enjoy the outdoor movie theater. The kids get a charge out of that
We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at this cottage. We were amazed at the activities for children. The playground was a 2 minute walk from the door to the left. The St. Lawrence River a 2 minute walk to the right. The family enjoyed jumping into the river from the dock at the Pavilion and also the small beach at the cove. Multiple activities are available a short drive away in Clayton or Alex Bay. The cottage was roomy, beds were comfortable and very clean. A delightful area and we loved the Victorian homes and small streets.
This cottage was one of the best ones we have ever rented in thousand Islands park! It is close to everything, i.e. the water, the playground, the guzzle, etc.
We rented this property so we could attend a family wedding at the gazebo on the green. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the location was ideal! The two bathrooms were well equipped as was the kitchen. The flow of the house was perfect for gatherings and for the bridesmaids preparations. The cottage interior will be remembered forever in all the wedding photos! My favorite spaces were the upper and lower front porches...great spots to view the river and have a quiet early morning cup of coffee. Looking forward to our next trip to TIP!
I have rented many cottages in TI park over the years and this one was the best. Very Clean with new appliances AND AIR CONDITIONING which came in real handy for the heat wave of 2013. I think that it is located in the best part of the park. You can see the river from the front porch and is well situated between the main dock and our other favorite swimming hole. There were six of us and all were able to sleep comfortably upstairs. Early risers can get up and start their day without tripping over or waking others. This was better than expected and even prettier than the picture shown above. When we come back, we will try and get this one again. Dogs had a great time as well.
This was our family's first visit to Thousand Island Park and we loved it. The owners we quick to respond with any questions. This cottage was clean, charming and within walking/biking distance to everything. We love to cook and the kitchen came fully equipped with everything we needed. our grandson loved being so close to the playground and quickly made friends with neighborhood children. We came for my nephew's wedding but would come back In an instant. Thousand Island Park is like stepping back in time to a simpler less complicated time! We loved it.
Everything within walking distance. Special events held in the gazebo on the public green, ice cream parlor/arcade. Playground within view of our cottage. Story hours at the library. Supervised sporting activities for kids. Nightly outdoor movies. Shops and boutiques. Post office. Grocery store. Wellesley Island Hotel restaurant. Great place for guests of all ages.
