My husband and I are both trained as architects. I work as a designer and architect. My husband is originally from Nashville and works for a student housing company. We also have two daughters, ages 6 and 8 mo.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2010
The location is fantastic. It's a great walking neighborhood. We bought this house with the intention of converting it to single family but had such success and positive feedback after 4 years with the upstairs rental that we decided to buy a house for ourselves 4 blocks away and continue to rent the duplex.
This neighborhood (and the couple of streets around us) really are the closest you can get to downtown without actually being in the 'city' or more urban core. But two blocks away and you're in midtown. It's the perfect mix of quiet relaxing location and proximity to the action.
We so enjoyed our three nights at this clean, green get away! Located in an amazing residential neighborhood in the heart of Nashville, the best part of our stay was taking the time for a couple of morning strolls--one through the neighborhood and the other through Vanderbilt university's campus. We truly loved everything about it. The beds were comfortable and clean with crisp, white linens. The apartment is decorated in an interesting, stylish, and simple way. We were very comfortable and at home which says a lot since we traveled with our five month old! We would recommend it to anyone!
Great place and area to stay for a couple nights! I would definitely come back.
Great location on a quiet, tree-lined street of Hillsboro! We quickly learned that we were so close to everything that we wanted to do! The apartment was perfect and was decorated just the way we like with antiques and collectables! And we have to agree with prior reviews - the beds were oh so comfy! Thank you for such a great stay in Nashville!
I visited beautiful and charming Nashville this summer. This property was beautiful inside and out. The facade and yard are charming. Street parking was always available near or right in front of the house. The interior of the house was lovely, with cute decor, comfortable beds, and charming furniture. Everything was clean and we had absolutely no problems. We used the kitchen to prepare simple meals. We washed our laundry with ease. The beds were plenty big for my mom (1 room) and me, my 5 year old, and my baby/toddler (2nd room). My other little boy enjoyed snoozing on the couch. In short, the property was just as described--cozy, charming, and lovely. I liked the eco-friendly flooring materials and the lovely views of trees and charming homes in the neighborhood.
We loved being so very close to Fanny Mae Dees Park (Dragon Park). It is a favorite Nashville stop for our small children, and we could walk to the park. We also were a short drive to the restaurant and shop district on 21st Street.
I would love to stay here again.
We just returned from a 4 night stay at this clean, well decorated and equipped, excellently located apartment. The unit is just as pictured - spotless, bright, great neighborhood, close to all the Nashville attractions. Rachel is very responsive and accommodating, allowing us to change our reservation at the last minute when we requested to come in a day earlier than previously planned. We have booked this same unit for 3 nights in October, and would like to book the first floor unit (same owner) another time.
As noted by others, there is no dishwasher or disposal, but we were not there to cook much.
Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone!
We loved it! Great location in a beautiful neighborhood. Very nice to come home to after a day of exploring.
