Overview

About the property

Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 2-3)

If you are looking for a truly unique get-away experience to a private corner of paradise, this is it! Our one bedroom Bay Pointe Villa is ideal for the couple who are searching for a breathtaking experience that will be remembered for a lifetime. Bay Pointe is one of the few villas on Seabrook with a private dock overlooking salt marshes, meandering creeks and Cherry Point fishing village. This is a great place to sip a glass of wine at sunset, launch a kayak to a nearby beach, or catch a pot of crab for an evening meal. Another favorite of our Bay Pointe guests is the relaxing swimming pool just steps from the villa. What a great place to put your feet up with a good book or cool off with a refreshing dip!

Nestled on a small gated peninsula near the entrance to Seabrook Island, this serene location is ideal for easy access to all that this private barrier island has to offer.

The location is convenient to Seabrook's Lake House Community Center with its state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, playground, basketball hoops and picnic area. Amenity cards to the Lake House are provided to our guests at no extra charge.

The 'near side' of the island, as it is often called, is only a short walk or bike ride from Freshfields Village. This quaint shopping area has a wide array of formal and informal dining options and world class shopping. Harris Teeter Grocery Store, located in the village, is a convenient and well stocked grocery where you can find basic necessities, organic produce, wine and special gourmet treats. Free outdoor events like movies under the stars, bluegrass concerts, farmers market and craft fairs are regularly scheduled events on the village green.

Bohicket Marina Village is another reason why our guests appreciate our convenient location. The marina, major hub of island activity, is only one-half mile from the villa. Boat-rentals, jet-skiing, kayaking, fishing-charters, live music, along with many shops, pubs and restaurants are among the favorites here.

Since the island is small, everyone on Seabrook has easy access to the three and a half miles of white, ocean front beaches. Just a ten minute ride away, there's plenty of easy parking with boardwalks over the dunes for convenience. Be sure to take a look at the pictures that one of our recent guests took of the dolphins 'strand feeding' on North Beach.

No trip to Seabrook Island would be complete without a visit to nearby Charleston. Whether you are interested in playing golf on one of the many world renowned golf courses, exploring the unique features of Charleston architecture or learning more about the rich history of antebellum plantation life, expect to be entranced by this southern gem. Dining in downtown Charleston can be an experience you will never forget. The 'Holy City' offers so many fabulous restaurants which range from five star dining to a sandwich on the run. Our area 'low country' cuisine has it all.

About Jackie Dinge

We, John and Jackie, recently retired from work, but not from life. We enjoy a wide variety of activities. These range from playing 18 holes of golf at nearby Kiawah Island, to just sitting on the beach watching the dolphins play. Seabrook has it all! We enjoy sharing our favorite place in the world with others who also appreciate the unique treasures of this special place. Our goal is to make your visit to Seabrook Island the absolute best vacation ever!

Jackie Dinge purchased this condo in 2011

Why Jackie Dinge chose Charleston Area

We chose to buy this vacation property because our interests are so diversified. We love to crab, kayak, and watch the magnificent sunsets from the pier overlooking Cherry Point fishing village. The villa is very quiet and peaceful, the restaurants are fantastic, the people are friendly, the wildlife is breathtaking from the screened porch. Sports and cultural offerings are abundant year round.

What makes this condo unique

The reason we just purchased this jewel is because of the convenient proximity to the very best Seabrook Island has to offer. Bohicket Marina, Freshfield Village and the Lake House are all within walking distance. Bay Pointe is also the closest location on Seabrook Island to downtown Charleston. The calm, tranquil neighborhood is conducive to relaxation, reflection and rejuvenation.

A Quiet Place

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely condo. Every inch and surface has been updated and everything was very tasteful and comfortable. The bed was awesome and there was no detail left undone. We especially appreciated the coffee pods and well equipped kitchen. Seabrook is the most quiet place we have ever been and we enjoyed our time on the screened porch and the dock. Thank you, Jackie for sharing it with us!

John and I enjoy going the extra mile to insure our villa exceeds your expectations. We find watching the wildlife on the porch is very peaceful also. We hope you will come back to visit soon and often! Jackie and John

Beautiful retreat and beautifully equipped by owners who truly care.

  • 5 of 5

Despite having our wonderful vacation cut a bit short by hurricane IRMA, the days we spent at this beautiful oasis were about the best we've experienced anywhere. If relaxation and convenience are high on your list, this is certainly the place for you. Jackie, the owner, was a pleasure to work with and truly cared about our experience. We will definitely be back . . . okay, maybe not in September next time . . . but definitely sometime soon!

A very peaceful and relaxing place

  • 5 of 5

We went there for our honeymoon and loved every minute of it. We didn't feel like we were surrounded by people, we felt practically alone. It was very peaceful and comfortable and we would love to return some day.

Fantastic vacation villa!

  • 5 of 5

My mother and I loved our stay here. The communication with Jackie before the trip was great. She was so helpful and gave terrific suggestions for dining and things to do. Upon arrival, we were so happy with the beauty of the villa, it's grounds and the island itself. There's a fantastic gym on site and the beach is just a short car ride away from the villa. We also enjoyed the pool on site and found the other residents on site to be super friendly! We will be back again. This is a fantastic getaway! Thank you!

Lovely Marsh View Condo

  • 4 of 5

Condo was lovely and well equipped. Great location with gorgeous marsh views. The Lake Club pool was close and very nice, and the unit is convenient to Freshfields and the Bohicket Marina. Jackie is a gracious host.

This was my first time to stay in Seabrook. Atlantic Ocean beach access at Seabrook is via narrow boardwalks, most of which have stairs over the dunes. The few that don't are quite a walk. The north beach walkway is almost a quarter mile from your car/bike to the ocean. Bring a rolling cart to carry chairs and coolers.

You'll enjoy your stay here.

Owner's Response: I am so glad you enjoyed your stay on Seabrook Island. The emerald green marsh grass is breathtaking in late summer, isn't it? Protection of the environment on this barrier island is one of the core values at Seabrook. The sand dunes on the beach play a critical role in preventing erosion and are a major source of food and protection to the coastal wildlife. And yes, the down side of this environmental protection is that many raised boardwalks between parking and the beachfront are long. A rolling cart is a great idea for getting all the beach essentials situated for a day of sunshine and ocean waves. I'm glad they have them now that fold up for easy carrying. We'd love to have you stay with us again soon and thanks so much for your thoughtful review. Jackie
