(1) Langkawi Geopark Cruises (2D1N)
There are plenty of options for spending one or several days sailing around the Langkawi islands. The cruise could start at Royal Langkawi Yacht Club at 11.00 am and lead past some fascinating islands with steep limestone rocks and a number of secluded beaches to Kilim River /Hole in the Wall with its vast mangrove forest, fish farm, bat cave and the eagle feeding lagoon. It's here that a part of the movie "Anna and the King" with Jodie Foster has been filmed. A tour on Kilim River with a longboat and an experienced nature guide (some extra cost) is an absolute must and very rewarding indeed, especially for the kids who enjoy watching the eagles, detect the bats hanging from the cave ceiling and feed the fishes.
Alternative programmes for the second day could be
to slowly sail back from Kilim River through some stunning island formations with stops for swimming, kayaking, dinghy tours, beach exploration, fishing etc. according to your and your kids wishes. This could be very much a day of relaxation and water fun. The cruise would end again in Kuah bay after watching the famous sunset over the western mountains.
to start the cruise from Telaga Harbour Marina, sailing South to visit the legendary Lake of the Pregnant Maiden (Pulau Dayang Bunting). After a short walk and a refreshing swim in that largest fresh water lake of Langkawi with opportunities for water games for the kids the ship will sail to a ramatically beautiful and very sheltered anchorage between stunning limestone rocks close on both sides. There is an abundance of small rocky islands and lonely sandy beaches to be explored on the way back later in the day.
On each day light but delicious meals with seafood, chicken and veggies and various snacks, fruits and finger food in between will be served. On the first day you'll be invited to take a late lunch/early dinner at the restaurant of the fish farm which provides a very unique atmosphere. Of course during the whole cruise there will be an open bar with free flow of mineral water, soft drinks, juices, beer, quality wines and selected spirits. If you let us know your preferences for food and beverages a little while in advance we'll try to meet all your desires.
(2) Pulau Payar Marine Park Diving & Snorkelling Cruise (2D1N)
The Pulau Payar Marine Park is situated in the northern part of the Straits of Melaka, 19 nautical miles south of Langkawi and encompasses the islands of Pulau Payar, Pulau Lembu, Pulau Segantang and Pulau Kaca which are surrounded by coral reefs. The marine park teems with a fascinating diversity of marine life and vegetation.
Many endangered species of fishes and marine organisms live within the sanctuary. Measuring 2km long and 1/4 km wide, Pulau Payar is the most popular of the islands as its sheltered waters are ideal for snorkeling, diving and swimming. Among the enchanting dive spots is the "Coral Garden", an area covered with bright, multi-hued soft corals.
There are several sandy beaches on Pulau Payar island for picnics as well as hiking trails for those who wish to explore the island. Just off the beach, one can indulge in the thrilling experience of feeding baby sharks.
As an alternative to the usual day visit to this paradise on a crowded ferry with poor service we offer overnight cruises on a luxury yacht with all the comfort you can expect from us. This begins already during the 4 hours cruise from the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club in Kuah to the Marine Park during which you will be spoiled by a selection of fresh tropical fruits and chilled beverages from the open bar with free flow of mineral water, juices, soft drinks, beer, wines and selected spirits. A light, delicious buffet lunch will be served on arrival and after mooring at one of the visitors moorings, far enough away from any crowds.
Refreshed and strengthened you may then venture into the crystal clear water for swimming, snorkeling or diving along the fascinating coral reefs. With our motorised dinghy (inflatable tender) we bring you to places that are accessible only to you. After all others have left the island (there is no accommodation available) you will sit happily in the cockpit of your yacht, admire the awesome sunset over the Andaman Sea with a cocktail in your hand, awaiting a sumptuous sea food dinner served by the attentive crew.
For all those who have never spend a night out at sea on a yacht with the tropical sky illuminated by innumerable stars arching directly over their heads, this alone is an unforgettable experience.
The next day, after a relaxed breakfast aboard and another swim along the corals we depart for the South-Western tip of Langkawi, passing a number of awesome rocky islands covered with lush green before we anchor for a delicious buffet dinner at the island of Pulau Dayang Bunting.
The dinghy will thereafter bring you ashore for a short pleasant jungle walk to Langkawis largest fresh water lake that invites you to a refreshing dip. Depending on the time left we may pay another visit to one or the other island on the way back to the Yacht Club where we finish the cruise with a last cocktail aboard.

(3) Tarutao National Marine Park,
Koh Lipe/Butang Islands (Thailand) Diving & Snorkelling Cruises (3D2N)
Situated just 30 nautical miles West of Langkawi lies Thailands southernmost island group, the Butangs. These granitic islands, all uninhabited except for Koh Lipe, are blanketed by rain forest and fringed with white sandy beaches. The Butangs, part of Tarutao Marine National Park, provide the clearest waters and most beautiful coral gardens in the area. Coral and small fish are plentiful and underwater visibility for snorkelling and diving ranges up to 25 metres.
There are many great sites for scuba diving around Koh Lipe and its neighbouring islands and the calm, clear water makes the area also ideal for snorkelling, with 25% of the world's tropical fish species found here. There are large varieties of fish around the coral just a few meters deep straight off all of the beaches.
The Islands are also a great place for fishing. You are still able to catch big fish such as Tuna, Barracuda, Red Snapper and many great Kingfish species in and around the Islands.
From Langkawi the islands are just a leisurely days sailing away. We leave Langkawi after checking out with customs and immigration and set sail from Kuah or Telaga at 11 a.m. Depending on the wind conditions we will arrive in Koh Lipe well before sunset and in time to check in with the authorities.
You may then decide to stay on the anchorage and enjoy a stroll through the bustling tourist village ashore, have your evening meal and a drink in one of the numerous bars and restaurants or proceed to our secluded mooring place off the west coast of the densely wooded uninhabited island of Koh Adang just a few miles away. Here you may spend a calm night on your boat under an awesome night sky with myriads of blinking stars above, listening to the sounds of little waves licking the close sandy beach and of the jungle wildlife farther away. Relax, you got a little piece of paradise to rejoice at your leisure.
On the following day you may go for a diving excursion with one of the many dive tour operators of Koh Lipe or if you just want to snorchel, there is plenty to be seen right from the waters surface. The afternoon and the evening can be spent visiting Koh Lipe and the Chao Lei people (sea gypsies) in their village or just strolling up and down the bustling Pattaya beach of Koh Lipe where young Western tourists enjoy an evening with music and drinks on the beach. Should you prefer another calm night on the boat in paradise bay, just stay and relax on board.
After the second night and after a hearty breakfast aboard we will weigh anchor again, check out with the authorities in Koh Lipe and then set sail for our return journey to Langkawi where we plan to arrive before sunset.

(4) Andaman Sea Discovery Cruises (6D5N)
If you have ever dreamt of an escape into an idyllic tropical island world your dream may become reality on a cruise in the Andaman Sea between Langkawi in the North-West of Malaysia and Phuket, Thailand. In this unique island paradise youll find some of the most spectacular scenery seen anywhere in the world with innumerous islands formed by stunning rock formations covered with lush green, embedded in crystal-clear warm waters lapping the unspoilt stretches of fine white sand.
Extending from Myanmar down past the west coast of Thailand to beyond the Malaysian border to the Langkawi archipelago, the Andaman Sea forms part of the Indian Ocean with many of its islands uninhabited apart from communities of Chao Ley sea gypsies.
Many of the islands offer shallow fringing reefs around impressive limestone formations (ranging in size from underwater pillars to whole islands) with some of the worlds best snorkelling and diving sites in comfortably warm waters with great visibility displaying an immensely rich variety of colourful corals and abundant marine life.
It is in this genuine paradise that we offer a 6-day sailing cruise on a luxury sailing yacht skippered by an experienced and knowledgeable crew that will enable you to enjoy the pleasures of total freedom in a world very different from your everyday life.
After clearing immigration formalities on Langkawi the cruise leads in about 6 hours through the island world of the archipelago to an idyllic anchorage in front of the Thai island of Ko Lipe. While simply relaxing or sharing in the handling of the yacht you will be pampered by a tasty onboard lunch and an open bar all along the way. Swimming and snorkelling fill the late afternoon while the day will be made round by a delicious dinner in one of the many local restaurants on the beach.
The second day starts with a refreshing morning swim and breakfast after which we sail North, passing some stunning islands before arriving after an eight hours sail at the National Park of Ko Petra, Thailand, a spectacular uninhabited island. Of course youre never left hungry or thirsty on the way but instead will be spoilt again by our onboard buffet and a generous supply of beverages. Anchored in the shelter of this magnificent island we spend the rest of the day enjoying a swim, a sundowner, the onboard dinner of assorted seafood and maybe share some thoughts after a day filled with innumerable new impressions.
By now you have learnt that there is no better way to start a day than by jumping over board right before breakfast and swim the sleep away. Our destination this day that we reach after about 6 hours sailing is the picturesque island of Ko Mook, where the anchor drops in clear water in front of a palm fringed sandy beach close to a coral reef.
A short dinghy ride brings us to the spectacular Morakot Cave, one of the fantastic attractions of the Unseen in Thailand. Its width of not more than 10 m and the limited headroom at high tide allow only swimmers or small boats to enter the 80 m long channel. After passing you have the impression to stand in a large hall roofed by the sky with a sandy beach in its middle, walls made of high cliffs and decorated by tropical plants. The midday sunlight falling through the open roof onto the gently moving sea creates an emerald reflection which gave the cave its name Morakot Cave which means Emerald Cave.
The rest of the afternoon is spent swimming, snorkelling or beach combing. Dinner is taken in one of the beach restaurants.
On our fourth day, again after a swim and a leisurely breakfast, we set sail for Ko Lanta, Thailand, a long-stretched island group with beautiful palm-fringed, white sandy beaches, splendid scenery and a coastline of more than 70 small islands with plenty of forest, coral reefs and underwater life.
Our light buffet lunch is served at a picturesque anchorage on the way that invites to a short snorkelling exploration before we sail to the Northern end of the island, where we drop anchor for the night. Of course we dont close the day without a stroll over the island and a delicious seafood dinner in one of the abundant beach restaurants.
After our habitual morning routine of swimming and enjoying breakfast on board we lift anchor on the fifth day for Ko Phi Phi, Thailamd once rated to be the 5th most beautiful island in the world. We find anchorage in a cliff and beach fringed bay with crystal clear water inviting us to dive in for refreshment. The afternoon is spent with leisurely exploring the island and enjoying dinner in one of the local restaurants within comfortable walking distance.
The last day of our cruise brings us in a leisurely sail, embellished by a delicious lunch and a final dip into the waters of the Andaman Sea, to our destination, Phuket, Thailand. Having passd the border clearing facilities you retire to a hotel of your choice with sufficient time left to explore the place.
This cruise can be altered according to your preferences, can be sailed from North to South instead or even both ways. Let us know your ideas.
