Clean and cozy cottage in great location for exploring the end of Cape Cod

  • 5 of 5

This was a very clean and cozy cottage in a great location for exploring the end of Cape Cod. Four of us stayed at the cottage, one couple stayed in the downstairs room, and the other stayed in the loft. There isn't a ton of privacy, the loft ladder is steep, and there is only kneeling headroom in the loft so that configuration might not work for everyone, but was fine for us. It would also work well for a couple with kids staying in the loft (old enough to negotiate the ladder). There was ample hot water for indoor showering, and the outdoor shower worked well. The bay side beach is right across the street. While small, the cottage worked perfectly for us.

We visited in the off-season (end of April) so a number of stores and restaurants were closed as expected. With that being said, there was still plenty to do, see, and places to eat. about a 1/10 of a mile up the road, you can cross route 6, then get onto a paved bike trail called Meadow Trail (dirt road entry- High Head road) that brings you to Head of Meadow beach (all shown on Google Maps). There are other non-paved trails that branch off that offer great views, and there is a historical mark where the first water spring was found. We also went on the bike trails that connect Race Point, Herring Cove, and an inland area Beech Forest. We saw right wales, dolphins and seals right off the beach. There is a great walk along a rock causeway from Pilgrims' First Landing Park at the end of Provincetown (comercial street) out to Wood Point. If you don't mind a longer walk, you can then head out to Long Point and the light house, or the other way to Wood End light house.

Delightful getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This tiny, but comfortable cottage is perfectly designed for maximum comfort and was very relaxing. Light-filled and lovely! Everything we needed was neatly stored so that we didn't feel cramped. It's a short walk to the beach. We were there during the off-season, but I understand there is a cafe and a shop very nearby. Sparkling clean, well-appointed, with lots of comforts. Just a 10-minute car ride to Provincetown and close to Truro and Wellfleet centers. Katie is accommodating, helpful, and friendly. Loved it!

Quiet Truro

  • 5 of 5

In mid-October, lovely beach cottage with a quiet Truro location. So welcoming to return each day to this well-appointed cottage that has an inviting feel of home. The interior design is bright, spacious, fun, simplicity at its best, & to be appreciated. Directly behind the iconic Days Cottages with a walking easement to the beach & water. Two markets nearby, one within easy walking distance. Cape Cod National Seashore so close by to explore... everyday. No regrets.

Dreamy Cottage at Beach

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely experience at North Truro! Katie was available immediately when we had questions. The apartment is full of natural light. The kitchen provides basic cooking equipments. The cottage is completely renovated and across the street from a beautiful beach. The bathroom is big and furniture throughout the cottage are new and very pretty. All was super clean! Grocery stores and dining are a close distance by car (P-town), as is downtown P-town for some shopping or sightseeing. There is also a store 2 mins. from the cottage. We definitely recommend staying.

Cottage perfection in the best kept secret of the Cape!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved our time at the Seashell. The location is perfect! Less than 10 mins from P-Town, water on both sides, and the most beautiful private beach. North Truro is a sleepy beach community that makes for the perfect backdrop for plenty of R & R while also being super close to all the action in Provincetown. Walking distance to convienence store, as well as a great breakfast spot, Top Mast Cafe, bring your bike and you could even bike to Truro Winery, and P-Town. My husband and I found the house to be quaint, comfortable, full of charm, and full of all the essentials to make life easier. We can't wait to go back next year as we had such a great time we decided to make it a yearly trip!

PERFECT cottage for a Cape weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We rented the cottage for a girls weekend escape, and it really was perfect in every way. Apologies for the lengthy review but this one really deserves it...

The space is incredibly well-designed, super clean, and thoughtfully laid out. It sounds absurd, but when renting you can usually really tell where the owners cut corners because they never intended to live in the space, and this is absolutely FAR from the case with this little cottage.

Storage: Given the size, storage was configured into every aspect. There were ample shelves, cubbies and hooks so that we were able to unpack and enjoy the cozy clean space without being forced to rummage through suitcases every morning.

The Kitchen: We happily cooked several of our meals and found it filled with any/all the essentials we could need.

Bedrooms: Cozy and neat.

Location: North Truro is perfect if you are looking to be central to Ptown and the beaches, but be aware, a car is vital for the cape in general given cabs get pricey. The cottage itself was super convenient, nestled into the Bayfront and off of Route 6, perfect since we didn't want to be as off the beaten path for a girls weekend.

Other +s: The indoor shower is fantastic, a far cry from every rental that usually leaves you frozen/burnt or dripping water all over the floor.

Check-in was easy and owner provided a SUPER helpful email in advance of all recommendations and tips for the visit.

All in all, a great stay! Highly recommend Canteen in Ptown for an awesome casual lunch (great Banh Mi), PJs for road-side lobster rolls, and Hatches in Wellfleet for great local produce and fresh fish for grilling!
