An Excellent Apartment
This apartment is very comfortable and very easily accommodated our group of 7. The apartment was very clean when we arrived and is well maintained. The apartment layout is really nice and worked very well for our group. As you can see in the picture there is only a couch in the living room, however the dining room table chairs are comfortable and very easy to turn toward the living room for more seating. The location is fabulous. So easy to get around the city from there with public transportation. Short distance to the subway, grocery stores, bakery and a delicious chocolate shop, Jrsi. The apartment lighting is a bit dim in the evening if you want to read. This was probably more noticeable because of the time of year we visited (short daylight hours) and also it was cloudy and rainy every day we were there. We brought out a couple of bedroom lamps to help supplement during the evening. Over the table there is a skylight and during the day it is bright and cheery. The two full bathrooms are very spacious and we appreciated the additional half bath. The two youngest in our group slept in the loft and loved it up there. If we are ever lucky enough to return to Brussels we would definitely stay here again. This is an excellent apartment!
Very Nice Apartment - Great Location
Our family of 7 (5 college/high school age children) stayed here for 5 nights in late December 2016. Fantastic location - close to restaurants, shops and tram/metro stops. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our family. We parked our van at a public garage that was less than 150 meters from the apartment. There are several other parking garages close (the on-site wasn't available - and not sure our van would have fit). The kitchen was very nice - even though we only used the refrigerator. The washer/dryer were very nice and easy to use. Paul's - which is just down the street - is fantastic for coffee and pastries in the morning. One of our children said that the bread from there changed her life and views of breakfast! There is a Carrefour Express within a 10 minute walk where basic grocery/food items, wine & beer can be purchased. There are a large number of restaurants within a 10 - 15 minute walk from the apartment.
We do have a couple of items though that kept us from giving this a "5" - the stairs to the loft are steep and very narrow. One of my daughters and my wife both almost slipped on the stairs - even though they were being careful. For younger children - this might be a possible hazard so would urge caution. The loft is very nice - just be cautious on the stairs. The couch seats 3 people. The only other chairs are from the dining room table - so not the most comfortable for evening discussions. Another couch would be nice.
The only other item is that we arrived at our arranged time of 3:00 pm to meet Sofia. We had flown in from the US that morning and had spent the day seeing some of the sights. When we arrived - she was very nice and welcoming - but had not completed cleaning yet. We tried to stay out of her hair - and left for dinner - but she wasn't done until close to 8:00 pm. We also discovered that they had an issue with the hot water heater which was repaired that evening (but led to very brisk showers that night!). Sofia was very nice - but it made for a very long day for us since we didn't want to get in her way and I know that she was juggling multiple things.
Would definitely recommend this apartment as a good base for a visit to Brussels!
Appartement très bien situé, parfait pour visiter le centre de Bruxelles à pieds !
Parfait à vivre, chacun a son espace d'intimité.
Parfait la petite terrasse sur les toits pour regarder les feux d'artifice et prendre la température de la ville.
Could not have been better!
We absolutely loved this apartment. There are actually four bedrooms if you count the loft (which has sleeping space for three - one double bed and one single), and three bathrooms (two full and one 1/2 bathroom, as we say in the states). The service was wonderful and the location was grand. There is an amazing patisserie (Paul's) just steps away, and the Carrefour Express grocery market is also steps away. You can even stock up on all the Belgian beer and chocolate you need, right here in this neighborhood! And the Louise metro stop is very closeby, which took us to the Gare du Midi and from there out by train to Bruges and Antwerp. There are many cities a short and inexpensive train ride away.
I cannot say enough about the comfort and convenience of this wonderful apartment, and the terrific service provided by Sophie and Lucia. Lucia was amazing in showing us around and making sure we understood everything - no small feat after traveling for as many hours as we had(!). Brussels is a fantastic place to visit, and there could not be a better spot to stay than this apartment. **Tip** Look for Le Delire Parisien restaurant just around the corner from the apartment, on the way to the Louise metro stop. This restaurant was so fantastic, we ate there twice!
Hi Jean, thank you so much for taking the time to provide a feedback. We are delighted that you had a good time with us, we work hard everyday to provide the best service and the best reward is to hear we have accomplished it. We look forward to having you again in Brussels soon!
Very nice and comfortable apartment; an excellent location for sightseeing, shopping and dining. Close to all amenities. Building renovations during our stay were a bit inconvenient. Highly recommended to adult families traveling together... so much better than a hotel. Overall, we enjoyed the stay in this apartment and would do so again.
This apartment in Brussels was excellent. We were 7 people staying for 5 days and had a very pleasant experience. It is close to many shops and the metro and tram stations. There was a full kitchen and washing facilities which made it very convenient. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Brussels.
