Built in 1908, I've been told my home is oozing with charm and character. Surrounded by trees and a beautiful view of the Sausalito Bay relax on the deck in this wonderfully sunny, tree-house feel of a home. It's located only 2 blocks from the heart of Sausalito and the picturesque waterfront.
Steps from your door you will find a local market, movie theater, coffee shops, fabulous restaurants, a yoga studio, shopping, art galleries, bike path, outdoor activities and more. Just a 10-minute walk to the Ferry going into San Francisco or minutes from the Golden Gate Bridge giving you easy access to SF.
My home is 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath. The second bedroom is located upstairs and is combined with an office with bay views. Both bedrooms have queen size beds. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need for meals and entertaining. The living room has high ceiling and gets loads of light and also includes a large Bali bench - wonderful for napping or reading. With the open floor plan the living room is situated next to the dining room and feels very open particularly when both sets of double doors are open leading to the deck overlooking Sausalito and a lovely view of the bay and harbor.
It's the upper flat of a two unit building and quiet and serene. It's approximately 1,700 square feet and ideal for relaxing, exploring and entertaining. As friends say when they come visit - 'it feels like a little slice of heaven'.

I pinch myself everyday that I get to live in Sausalito. As friends say, it truly is a slice of heaven. I'm a native Californian (southern) but once I came to Northern CA there was no turning back. I love Sausalito but I also love to travel and experience new cultures. I'm also a serial entrepreneur and business consultant and from time to time find work experiences outside the Bay. By offering my home on vrbo it gives me more flexibility. I hope you'll find Sausalito as special as I do. I think you will.
Jennifer purchased this house in 2003
If you're looking for a magical, laid back, tranquil getaway, look no further. With a magical feeling and surrounded by trees you'll feel thousands of miles away even though you're located in the heart of Sausalito and minutes from all that Sausalito offers. I pinch myself everyday that I get to live in Sausalito and in this wonderfully unique craftsman style home oozing with character. I hope you'll get to enjoy it and all that Sausalito provides.
It's just breath-taking everywhere you walk or turn. The way my home is situated and surrounded by trees you can't help but take a big deep breath, relax and slow down. I love that even though I feel so far away from everything I'm really close. It's a feeling of being in the woods without being in the woods. Plus I'm a real water person and get invigorated by being close to water so I love that I can literally be on the waterfront in less than 2 minutes walking. Hopefully I haven't forgotten my $5 bucks so I can pick up a coffee on the way home from my local favorite cafe Divino's.
We had an amazing 1-week stay at Jennifer’s place in Sausalito. The house is clean, beautiful and spacious with artful décor and charm – and wonderful views of the bay. It’s in the perfect location – the neighborhood is calm and tranquil but is just a few blocks from the heart of Sausalito and a short ride to San Francisco over the Golden Gate Bridge. Parking on the street is so convenient and easy.
The fully equipped kitchen came in handy for cooking dinner on Christmas Eve. And Jennifer was so gracious to offer the use of entertaining items that we might need. She left detailed instructions that were very much appreciated and was also very easy to communicate with when we needed to. It truly felt like our “home away from home”! Thanks, Jen! We definitely hope to stay at your place again during a future visit!
In two short weeks we came to view this as "our home". Jennifer's house is lovely - cozy, comfortable and well-decorated. And she is a very gracious and thoughtful host. Also the location is superb, just blocks above Caledonia Street, on the "quiet" (non touristy) side of Sausalito, yet a quick walk to downtown. Caledonia is lined with great restaurants, a beautiful natural/organic market and a wonderful coffee shop (Cibo). It's the neighborhood I've always wanted to live in. We hope to return next year!
We celebrated our 35th anniversary in Sausalito. This home is very cozy. Close to everything. Awesome view from the balcony. Jennifer was amazing to deal with. We could contact her anytime. Would love to stay here again.
My family stayed 10 weeks at this place. We all including 6-year old daughter enjoyed the place and town. The owner is very kind and open-minded to visitors. The place is in the middle of tall trees and full of artistic furniture and pictures. Friendly neighbors, Very close from nice restaurants and beach, 10-min walk to ferry to SF downtown. It's located on the edge of the hill so that easy to walk across the town. Highly recommend this place and my family will visit this place again if possible.
Wine Country, Ferry to San Francisco, Local Summer Music Festivals, Cooking School, Farmers Markets, only 10 minutes to San Francisco. Bike Rental nearby.
