About the property

House, 5 Bedrooms + Loft, 4 Baths, (Sleeps 12)

Our home is located at the end of a cul-de-sac on a bluff overlooking Lake Tahoe. We have spectacular views of Meeks Bay to the north, Rubicon Bay to the south and the entire lake from our 700 square foot deck. The house is surrounded by forest service land so you experience the quiet of the mountains and complete privacy.

Upstairs are two bedrooms and a loft, each with queen beds and one shared bathroom. The large master bedroom has a view of Meeks bay off one side and Rubicon Bay off the other. Downstairs you'll find three bedrooms, one with a king and its own bathroom, one with a queen and its own bathroom and one with twin beds with access to the hall bathroom. All have lake views. The house sleeps 12 comfortably.

A wall of windows in the living room provides a fantastic view of the lake. The living room has an open beam ceiling with a round fireplace in the center of the room that allows everyone to enjoy the fire. A television in the living room and upstairs bedroom offers satellite programming along with DVD players. The loft, with a view of Rubicon Bay, can be used as an office or as a space for playing games with the family. The loft also includes a queen-sized futon which doubles as a couch. The house is newly carpeted throughout, has a fully stocked kitchen with new appliances, and provides a BBQ for meals on the deck.

There is a washer/drier inside the house. All linens and towels are included.

Another amazing Stay!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I have stayed at this incredible 'cabin' property for 2 years now and we all love it. Every room has a view and the living space is nice and open with plenty of seating. The deck is truly heaven on earth with incredible views of the lake, mountains and Meeks Bay to the North. It's a great property...We dream of it the rest of the year!

Beautiful home with amazing views

  • 5 of 5

The layout of the home was perfect for us as my husband and I had the upstairs and our girls and their friends had the main floor. This kept it very quiet upstairs while the girls were still able to enjoy themselves with their music and games. Beautiful tranquil setting with views from every room.

spacous and beautiful view. Loved staying here. 6 adults 4 kids. The kitchen is small but bigger than it looked in photos. Worked really well for us. Would absolutely stay here again.

Owner had excellent communication.

Great home with amazing view and perfect for a family reunion

  • 5 of 5

This house was amazing for an expanded family of 7 adults and 2 toddlers. The house's bedrooms were split over 2 floors which was perfect for us. The upstairs had 2 bedrooms with a jack and jill bathroom which was perfect for my sister and I. The main level had 2 rooms with ensuite baths which were perfect for my sister and her husband and my niece and her family of 4 with 1 room left over with the hall bath for my other niece. The master was large enough for my niece to set up a pack and play and place a twin mattress on the floor for her 2 kids, with room to spare.

The living room had a wonderful oversized sectional that fit our entire family with room to spare and the view was absolutely amazing. This house is on what I would consider to be the quieter side of the lake but close enough to South Lake Tahoe that you have access to grocery stores and restaurants. The deck was great and more than big enough for everyone to sit outside and with a glass surround that made it safe for my 1 and 3 year old great niece and nephew to run around and we didn't have to worry about them falling off. The house had a DVD player and a great selection of movies although my 3 year old nephew fell in love with Peter Pan and had to watch it 6 times! Since there were so few houses in the area it was dark enough to see the milky way and I was able to do some cool astro photography.

There were only 2 things about this house that were minor inconveniences but not enough of an inconvenience that I would downgrade my rating of this house. 1st the kitchen was quite small compared to the size of the house but it was still functional and held all of the modern amenities that everyone loves including 2 coffee pots which is essential for my sister and her husband. The 2nd is the stairs to get up to the house. We are all from lower elevations so at 6500' we were all battling altitude symptoms and combine that with 4 flights of stairs made for a heck of a cardio workout.

Overall this was an amazing house with an amazing view from every window, including a lovely view of the forest from the upstairs bathroom shower! It was a bit dis-concerning to step into the shower and be able to see out but there are no houses or people out there so I got use to it quickly although a bird scared the life out of me when it landed on branch outside. I would definitely recommend this house and I'd go back in a heartbeat...I would just pack less!

Perfect Base Camp for the Lake Tahoe Triathlon

  • 4 of 5

We were in Lake Tahoe from August 26-29 to serve as the cheerleading squad for our son and three friends who participated in the 2016 Lake Tahoe Olympic Triathlon. The house was the perfect base camp - only a couple of miles away from EdZ'Berg Sugar Pine State Park - the venue for the event -, had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to accommodate eight of us comfortably, a well-equipped kitchen in which to prepare nutritious meals for the athletes, and a great deck on which to stretch and enjoy magnificent views of the lake and the sunrise every morning. In addition, the homeowner was super helpful and answered all the questions we had in preparation for our arrival in Lake Tahoe.
