Property in a good location in terms of proximity to major tourist sites. Property was clean.

  • 3 of 5

Was greeted by Angelo's mom. Nice lady but limited English. No real help from Angelo the entire stay. Area of property a bit transitional. Graffiti on the walls right outside. Multiple locks and a metal bar to be placed on the door once inside did not send a message of safety, Still had a good visit

Owner's Response: Dear Frank I really appreciate when guests take time to leave a review because it helps me to improve my work and make it better. However I see that you have written some incorrect things I'd like to explain. Usually I welcome my guests personally. At your check-in I've asked my mother to welcome you because you're arrived earlier than you've planned. I'm sorry she doesn't speack a fluent english, however she just started to show you the apartment before my arrive. After 10 minutes I'm arrived to the apartment to welcome you personally and told you that I live in the same building so I'm at your disposition any time of the day. So I don't understand why you said you haven't recived any assistance from me. The area is very secure, the apartment is in one of the best area of the historical center of Rome. I don't understand to which graffiti you are talking about. About the lock. The apartment was built during 1700 as you can see from the original ceiling in wood and the original floor in red cotto bricks. Also the door is the original. The iron bar you're talking about is the original of this door... it is a storical accessory I've decided to leave in the apartment also as furniture. The lock is just a classical lock that you can find in every Italian house. I don't understand why you say it is a symptom of a non secure area. In any case I thank you for being my guests and I hope I've clarified your doubts Best wishes from Rome Angelo

Great apartment centrally located in Rome

  • 4 of 5

We stayed for 3 nights in the beginning of April. Angelo was very informative, helpful, friendly and made himself available for any needs we may have had. The apartment is centrally located. It's clean, the bed was very comfortable and

provides ample space for a short stay in Rome. Campo di Fiori is right around the corner. An awesome bakery and cafe is located right near the apartment and was a great way to start off our day. We are looking forward to our next trip to Rome and stay here. Thank you Angelo!

Bellissimo!

  • 5 of 5

Angeloand Rosaria told us everything we need to know about the flat. We met at the bus stop, because we used the bus. And while we were walking they showed us the neigborhood and their fav places. The location couldn't be any better, it was perfect. We walked everywhere from the house, if you like walking. There was a recommendation list they made for their guests, where to eat and drink, it was very lovely. They are very nice people so their place is nice too. If i go Rome again, i will stay there. Ciao!

Romantic holiday

  • 5 of 5

We landed in Rome at around 11.00pm and were picked up by the Taxi arranged by Angelo. Very cordial and friendly taxi driver. At the apartment we were met by Anglo who explained us everything we needed to know about the apartment. Very smooth checkin despite landing in Rome that late in the night. Apartment was exactly as advertised. Very clean and all facilities well provided. The apartment is in an extremely central place with plenty of restaurants, cafes' and bars. Overall excellent experience for a couple

The location was almost perfect. The apartment was very different from the pictures. The kitchen was very limited. The seating area was not very comfortable.

The centre of the city of Rome is a picturesque area of cobbled lanes, lively squares, fashionable bars and renaissance palazzos as well as the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Campo de’ Fiori, the Spanish Steps and an infinite series of monuments, museums and churches containing many of greatest masterpieces of Michelangelo, Raphael, Caravaggio and Bernini. The city centre is also the centre of Italian political life, and indeed the bars and restaurants surrounding Montecitorio and the Senate are often frequented by well known local and national politicians.

In ancient times, the area around Piazza Navona and the Pantheon was known as Campo Marzio, and was used as an outlying arena for sports and military exercises. However it was the 17th century Baroque masters - Gian Lorenzo Bernini and Francesco Borromini – that gave the area its current appearance. Indeed, their churches, fountains and palazzos still inspire the same awe and wonder as they did when they were first built 350 years ago.

The area is well furnished with small restaurants offering typical Roman cuisine and bars in which to stop for a while after visiting one of the city’s monuments. The most famous bars in the area are Caffé Sant’Eustachio and Gelateria Giolitti, both of which are located close to our apartment.
