Incredible lake vacation

  • 5 of 5

I don't think I could say enough good things about this entire experience. Mike, And Debbie were great from the very beginning. Since this was my first experience with this, they were both very patient and accommodating with all my questions. Then from the moment we arrived, we had an amazing vacation. We were in disbelief initially as the house had everything we could possibly need and then some. It is both beautiful and extremely well prepared for everything, both great, and poor weather. In fact it took us a few days to find something that they didn't have (lobster crackers), but now there are those as well. Our small contribution to a fantastic house.

I grew up on this lake coming up nearly every summer up until I joined the Army in 1982 and the return was fantastic bringing back many memories. The lake is awesome, fishing great, and you couldn't have a better time than time spent here. We look forward to our return next year and hopefully many after that.

Also thanks to Tim who was also a great help to us.

Exactly what we needed!! Great Fishing

  • 5 of 5

This place is just amazing the way that the nature connects with the house it give you the sense that you are part of it only that you got all the commodities with it without affecting the environment and the life around it . We love fishing and here is really good if you know what you doing ,try talk to the locals that would give you some tips and some local knowledge about the lake . They are some sand bars in certain parts of the lake that we found using the pontoon boat and got the chance to meet some locals and believe me they get big bass fishing here . I did my first cast in one point of the lake and BOOM !! landed my first large mouth bass so happy !! .

The owners of the house always make sure everything is tight and ready to use they think about everything is just good to get to a place and get more of what you thought you would get .

We visit the Pemaquid light house not to far from the house maybe one hour and 20 minutes we have great day. Their you can see this historic place and also you can have a dinner or breakfast at the same time viewing the lobster man putting their traps . You also can take you wine and just sit down by the rocks and contemplate the sight . We enjoy seeing the people painting and trying to freeze the view on their canvas what a nice experience .

For lunch we went to eat lobsters we talk to some locals they told us to go to Muscongus Bay Lobsters maybe 15 minutes ride from pemaquid great place just take route 32 you can take your own wine and drinks believe me this is the place if you want to try the real maine ,the view ,the boats ,the people it all goes together just and amazing place to go . We got back and we did a lot kayaking if you wake up early you would love it and if you do it on the sunset you will experience the change of the colors on the sky can tell you got to see it .

Well hope this would make you book this house because for us it sure did .

WOW! What a great place..

  • 5 of 5

Well ,were can i start lets start from the first impression of the house .The house was impeccable on the inside and outside. They made sure all we needed was there everything was really clean and the owners were very welcoming .This home was comparable to one you would see in a painting on a gallery .

The lake WOW!!! is a good word for the first impression. The nature in this place is absolutely amazing for us thats what is all about ;connecting with nature and at the same time connecting with yourself .This house house and lake gave us peace ,tranquillity and also inspire us in many ways. In the afternoons you can be at the dock watching the looms and eagles fly by also watch the sky how turns magical with all the colors is no words to described such feeling well maybe for me that world could be serenity at the lake. This house make you appreciate how lucky we are to be able to enjoy nature as is .If your looking a place to have fun ,enjoy time with your family, friends or just to relax and be thankful with god for creating such a wonderful world this is your place . Take my advice and stay here you will remember my review and thank me. Good trip to all and i hope your vacations exceed your expectations .

Idyll lake retreat

  • 5 of 5

Nestled in the woods on a pristine lake, this house brings you up close to loons, waterlilies, osprey, cattails and dragonflies. Lots of swimming and kayaking. Paradisical.
