About Ms. Robin Melavalin

I was born in NH and love the mountains. For work I direct a global connections center for a college near Boston, and in my spare time I lead hiking and kayaking trips in New Hampshire and internationally as a volunteer for the Appalachian Mountain Club. I try to hike a mountain a month.

Ms. Robin Melavalin purchased this condo in 2003

Why Ms. Robin Melavalin chose White Mountains

I couldn't resist the mountain views and dramatically changing seasons. There's a sense of wilderness combined with New England village life. We occasionally see moose grazing by the side of the road. There are good local breweries and a bakery with fabulous breads and granola. An organic market with smoothies, sandwiches and a raw chocolate bar is within a couple of miles.

What makes this condo unique

This is a peaceful place surrounded by natural beauty and year-round activities. There is a lot to do but sometimes the day passes just watching the sky changing over the mountains with the mind at rest. At dawn the sun sometimes casts a red glow on the Moat Mountains. If you are an experienced hiker, I recommend trying the 9.7-mile trek across the Moats. Nearby, the Diana's Baths trail is wheelchair accessible and 1/2 mile each way to the waterfalls. The outdoor pool and tennis courts are a 3-minute walk from our condo door. Swim at night and gaze at the stars while you're floating. On a cool night, fire up the wood stove and settle in for a cozy evening.

Well appointed condo, very clean, quiet complex

  • 5 of 5

This was our 5th time staying at this lovely condo. The views are beautiful whether it's raining, sunny or snowing.

Plenty of places to see and activities to keep busy. Have enjoyed Echo Lake, Diana's Baths, Cathedral Ledge, Mt Washington Cog Railway Train, Settlers outlets, Castle in the Clouds, Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad, M/S Mt Washington and visiting nearby towns.

Many options for delicious meals: Flatbread Pizza Company, Fiesta Jalisco Mexican Restaurant, May Kelly's Cottage Restaurant, Peaches, Priscilla's, Yankee Smokehouse, Tamarack Restaurant, and Moulton Farm (scrumptious baked goods).

Will always be grateful for all the wonderful memories made during our stays here.

Very nice, clean, excellent views

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in many different locations over the last 15 years of renting in the area, and this is definitely one of the nicest. The condo is exactly as described and as in the pictures. It was very clean upon arrival and has nice amenities. The back deck and view is definitely a bonus! Our kids also enjoyed the pool. Robin was very responsive to our questions and booking was easy. We would definitely stay here again.

You should stay here! Just not when we want it! Lol

  • 4 of 5

Fantastic place. More than well equipped and the views from the living room and master bedroom are fantastic. Made the stay kind of special. Note: You can drive up a road to visit the top of Cathedral Ledge which is the ledge view-able from the condo. Lot's of places to eat and visit in the area as well. A great place and semi-isolated and in great shape. The owner is friendly and responsive and we highly recommend staying here. Note: It is on the second floor which we liked, but there is a long flight of stairs to consider if that's a concern. We had a super time and hope to be back again soon!

Spotless condo, well appointed kitchen and outstanding views. We went for a ski vacation; good location for Cranmore and Attitash - we drove to Bretton Woods as well - about 35 minutes away. Not far from North Conway shops and restaurants. Nothing fancy but was perfect for our family of 4. Owner was well organized and proactively provided all the information we needed. Will definitely stay there again.

Ice carving contests and chocolate festival in winter, maple syrup production with maple aroma in the air during spring, summer swim under the stars in our pool, autumn corn maze and harvest festivals.
