Luxury Manhattan Studio located on Lower Madison Ave. The decor is fabulous with turn of the century architectural details!
The Studio is a 3 flight of stairs walk-up. There is not an elevator, so don't pack to heavy! The Studio is in the rear of the building, so its very quiet (except for the heat radiators in the winter which is typical in older new york apartments)
You will feel like you are staying at a rich uncles apartment! The location is just a few blocks from Madison Park and the Empire state building. You can virtually walk to any destination from this central location!

I am a New York based Interior Designer and this apartment was created as a guest apartment for my clients.
This neighborhood is so wonderful and the location is extremely convenient
Unlike a hotel, this studio is perfect for those travelers looking for the privacy of a New York apartment but with the comfort of a Hotel!
Me and my girlfriend stayed for a week in this excellent apartment. I don't think that you could find an apartment in N.Y city that's better than this one. It's quiet, had a lot of space and a comfortable bed, it was clean and we could always ask Angela a lot of questions before and during the stay and got answers that made our stay even easier. But the best part was the location. You walk to Empire State Building on 3-4 minutes, subway 3-4 minutes, Times square 7-8 minutes and you got a lot of restaurants and stores right outside the building. We would totally recommend this apartment and we would be happy to come again. Thank you!
My best friend and I spent three nights and couldn't been more pleased. It's a quiet neighborhood and building with easy access to everything--GREAT LOCATION! The room is big for New York standards--definitely bigger than any hotel room, and it had a table for two and a nice living room chair. And, it is impeccably decorated. The bed was super comfy. There were plenty of towels and all the amenities (e.g., hair dryer, iron, microwave, fridge, wifi, tv, etc.). The only two issues, if you can call them that, are the stairs and the hot water. The stairs are steep and crooked--there are 59 of them (after multiple trips up, I finally decided to count them), so be prepared that carrying luggage up and down is not fun. Also, the hot water takes awhile to heat up and depending on the day may not last if you take a long shower. However, those two things are minor considering everything else was perfect. Angela was so responsive via email and the phone. She called to make sure we got in ok and called right back when we left a voicemail with a question about wifi. I would definitely recommend this to others looking for a nice room that's bigger than the tiny NY hotel rooms! Thank you so much for your hospitality, Angela!
We spent 7 nights in this apartment and were so pleased with our choice of accommodations! The bedding and linens are lovely and the bed was so comfortable that we enjoyed excellent sleep. The apartment was very quiet, in fact, no noise to speak of, from either the outside or other tenants. The location is fantastic! We walked everywhere with ease: Empire State Building, Times Squares, Central Park, Broadway, the USS Intrepid, Broadway and the High Line. This is conveniently located to major subway stations such as Penn Station, and Grand Central, as well as Herald Square which we used most frequently. Miss K's Italian Eatery is very convenient for essentials like snacks and bottled water when you don't want to carry them very far. We found Wine 30 nearby and enjoyed a fabulous meal experience. It is certainly worth going to. We would say the same about Ben & Jack's Steakhouse, which was a great meal and reasonably priced. Both Wine 30 and Ben & Jacks are within a few minutes walking distance. The apartment kitchen is small but well appointed. The bathroom was clean and lovely and had perfect water pressure. The owners have put so much thought into what a guest would need (Thank you!). I would say if mobility is an issue the stairs might cause difficulty. Luckily my husband was able to manage the suitcases without issue. We really appreciated the fact that the apartment was located out of the 'hustle and bustle' of Times Square, returning each evening to a quiet neighbourhood. We found the area to be safe and had no issues with returning back to the apartment late at night. The photos well represent the space and furnishings.
This was our very first time renting through VRBO and we could not be any more pleased. From beginning to end the experience perfect! Angela was extremely helpful and patient with my texts, emails and questions. The apartment looks EXACTLY like in the pictures. We were met by the front door as expected with the key, super easy to find! The stairs are interesting....I honestly would not have been able to get my heavy luggage up the stairs without my husband. Those stairs were the ONLY minus. The bed is luxurious and comfortable, great pillows and sooooooo quiet! The location was perfect, just a couple of blocks to Starbucks, the subway and if we leaned a little out the window we could see the Empire State Building. I would have absolutely NO hesitation in booking again. So much better than a hotel. If you like wine, check out Wine:30, just a few blocks away. Sit at the bar! The staff was friendly and conversational. Food was fun and fabulous. If you like beer, you MUST walk to The Ginger Man......A M A Z I N G selection! BBQ? Blue Smoke, also a few blocks away. Thank you Angela!
From the start everything was perfect. Paying for the rental went very smoothly. I was even able to get the keys to the apartment by mid morning which was a great help to me. The pictures of the apartment equaled the actual beauty of apartment. Being that the apartment is in the rear of the building on the forth floor it's extremely peaceful.
The little touches made it an even more of a pleasurable experience. For example we had a bottle of wine waiting for us In the fridge.
The neighborhood was extremely safe and centrally located. A few blocks from Macy's and the Empire State Building. Close to subways and buses run along Madion Ave all the time.
