Comfortable and convenient
It was great to be in an apartment rather than a hotel room during our stay in Montreal, and the location was convenient, particularly because of the easy access to the metro. We didn't use our car all week because it was so easy to get to wherever we wanted to go.
The apartment was comfortable and clean and provided plenty of space for us to relax after long days of walking all over the city. We appreciated having a kitchen so that we could have some meals there. (And the grocery store was within easy walking distance.)
Our only complaints were that we didn't realize we were choosing a basement apartment (didn't bother me at all but my husband wasn't thrilled about that) and the bed, while very comfortable to sleep on, was low to the ground, and we are old enough to make that an issue for us. But those problems were small and our overall impression of our week here was a very positive one. I would definitely recommend this rental to others!
One of the best HomeAway stays yet!!!!
If you are traveling to Montreal look no further this apart is clean and comfortable. And it is ideally located in the heart of Montreal, close to all the restaurants and shops. Faye was great at helping us with any questions we had and made us feel at ease on our trip. We would definitely stay here again.
Nice, clean, convenient
Nicely located apartment that was super clean and convenient. Just a few blocks to St. Catherine Street and its variety of restaurants and shops. We enjoyed the convenience of the location on a quiet street.
Very Comfortable Apartment, Great Location
The apartment is very comfortable, clean and well equipped. The location is superb, walking distance to downtown shops, museums and galleries, with local grocery stores and restaurants very close by. Yet it is on a quiet residential street. And the reserved parking space was a big plus as we drove to Montreal and needed a place for our car.
Faye, the owner, is an excellent host. She kept in communication prior to our stay, and provided a lot of helpful information. While we were there we had a small maintenance issue and she had a repair person in within hours.
We really enjoyed Montreal, a very attractive city with many cultural offerings. We hope to return someday and would definitely stay at Faye's apartment again.
Great location, very neat and tidy and a fabulous bed.
It doesn't get any better than this!
We have stayed three times in this Seymour condo. Each time our visit get better. Fay, the owner, responds quickly to any inquiries. She lives upstairs so we find it a comfort to know the owner is close by.
The condo is spotless, the kitchen equipped with necessary items, the shower is hot and the bed comfortable. Because our stay is extended (almost two weeks) we take advantage of the opportunity to cook meals. Be sure to get some St. Vituer bagels. YUM! Of course the rival bakery Fairmont Bagels is a close competitor.
The location is most convenient for exploring Montreal. It's near the Atwater Metro station, grocery stores, and the Forum movie complex. Definitely purchase an OPUS transit card to take advantage of public transportation. A quick walk will get you to the Lachine Canal walking paths, Atwater Market, Notre Dame West and Griffintown, a new up and coming area. You can easily stay in Fay's condo without a car and feel like a local.
To get most out of all that Montreal has to offer explore the many neighborhoods. Old Montreal is pretty but more touristy. Take a walk along the canals, eat and drink at local spots and you'll return home having really experienced the city. We often visit Montreal in November, certainly not high season but bundle up and enjoy!
