MAHANA 1 BEDROOM - OCEANFRONT - 20 STEPS TO OCEAN SAND!

This beautiful, fresh condo has stunning ocean front views from the living space and bedroom. The large patio area is a wonderful extension of space for meals or just to be in the shade and read! With the lawn right out your door, trips to the pool, hot tub and beach are a cinch.....And did I mention the ocean water is just 30 feet away! The sound of the waves will lull you to sleep and the whales will entertain from December through April.

The Mahana is an unusual property featuring all direct ocean view units which attracts owners and visitors who enjoy quiet oceanfront living close to the activity in Kaanapali and historic Lahaina.

We have done everything we can think of to make this a luxurious, relaxing and fun vacation spot for 1 to 4 people. From the padded upholstered headboard, and California king Tempur- Pedic bed with hotel luxury linens to the boogie boards and tennis racquets. The new sleeper sofa has a nice thick mattress and the tasteful decor is world class.

We have provided beach chairs, beach towels and even a cooler to make traveling less hectic and much easier to pack!

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything imaginable - cooking ware and Tupperware. You may even discover the all spices you need to make your favorite recipe in the cupboard!

Amenities include tennis courts, swimming pool, hot tub, shuffleboard and a barbecue area.

The shopping complex across the street has a wonderful grocery store, subway, pizza, coffee.....Even a place for manicures! Only a few blocks north and you will find the Farmers Market, Snorkel Bobs, the Fish Market and many apparel and souvenir shops.

This property is very unique on Maui - although there are many beautiful places to stay, ocean front properties like this are hard to find!

Please - Before you send a reservation request, consider the dates your are requesting and any gaps between existing reservations that may be created by your dates. If you have flexibility with your dates, an inquiry or suggestion of flexibility before an online reservation request is sent is most helpful! I usually require a 5 night minimum - I generally stay away from creating gaps with less than 5 nights. Exceptions do and will occur when I vacancies within 30 days.

Why Heather Hansen chose Lahaina

After many years of travel and discovery on Maui - we got hooked on the Mahana. Living in the Northwest we are very spoiled with the beautiful landscape of mountains, lakes and rivers.....so needless to say, we don't like to settle for a 'partial ocean view'!

I went for a walk one day on the ocean shore of West Maui and happened by the Mahana. I couldn't get over how big the windows were, and how close the buildings were to the beach. The next time we returned to the island we stayed at the Mahana and never turned back.

As Maui vacationers prior to our purchase, we had experienced the island the same way many of our guests would. The Kaanapali area offers a tremendous variety of beaches, proximity to Lahaina, the famous boardwalk, the most amazing sunsets and glorious views of Lanai and Molokai. There are many reasons why we chose the Mahana. The property offered the type of relaxed feel - not one of a big resort where you have to set your alarm to get your spot by the pool! It is close enough to the world class dining the resort areas offer, but far enough away that you have choices. Subway, pizza, fish market, sushi, farmers market and groceries that are frequented by locals as often as tourists. But the VIEW from the condo is the #1 reason! Imagine watching the whales from your living room or patio while you sip your morning coffee, or evening pina coloda. I'm not kidding!! This is what sealed the deal. There are not many properties on Maui with this kind of view. No 'partial ocean views'. You will find only 100%, straight on, in your face OCEAN!!

We now own two units (or I should say the bank owns two units). Our first purchase was in 2011 of a two bedroom unit on the 9th floor (VRBO # 376315). Followed by the purchase of this unit on the bottom floor - both the magnificent views from the 9th floor corner and the wonderful access a bottom floor unit grants.

What makes this condo unique

Our family loves to be comfortable. And we love beautiful things. When you are spending hard earned money for a vacation, you should expect the place you are staying to be cared for and designed well. How do you FEEL when you are in a space? Is the decoration tasteful? Are the colors soothing? Is it clean? Are the pillows and sheets luxurious? Is the bed spread 100 years old? YUCK!!! We pay attention to these things and take your trust in us very seriously.

When you stay in our Maui home, you will be provided with everything you can think of to make your vacation a special one. From provided beach chairs and towels to spices in the cupboard!

Lovely!

This place was exactly what we were looking for. Very clean and exactly as described. Thank you Heather for maintaining it so well. We loved listening to the waves and looking out at the fantastic view. We were very appreciative that is was well stocked with supplies. Will definitely stay here again!

Location, Location, Location!

This nicely appointed and comfortable bottom floor condo was not only located very close to the ocean, it was also situated at the more private end of the property. We had very few people walking by. Driving to the many beaches, restaurants and shops in Lahaina, Kaanapali, Napili, and Kapalua took only minutes. The parking is very quick and easy with many spots right in front. We loved sleeping with the sound of the waves in the dreamy comfy bed! We will be back for sure!

Findng Peace and Quiet in Paradise

We enjoyed our honeymoon in Maui in 1996. We returned to the island we love for our wedding anniversary and for the perfect vacation from our busy professional lives. We carefully researched our stay options and decided to stay in a condo rather than a resort, in an effort to find peace and quiet in what can be a busy resort-style island. The Mahana is a quiet residential condo offering. The Mahana is tucked back away from the road and traffic and is oceanfront yet within walking distance to what you need. The unique setting means the only persons walking by your oceanfront view is those staying in a condo at the Mahana. We could sit out and look and listen to the ocean uninterrupted, in paradise. What more could we ask for? The Mahana is a no pets allowed facility with free parking as well. The condo #107 was as described. It has floor to ceiling views of the ocean from the kitchen, living and bedroom areas. You can lay in bed, pull back the curtain and enjoy sunsets and sunrises oceanfront from your pillow, and the bed is very comfortable. The unit has a well stocked kitchen including frying pans, toaster, blender, measuring tools, etc., as well as all cookware and dinnerware needed to create your favorite drink or dinner. The unit is well maintained and exceptionally clean. The artwork and furniture make you feel at home. The condo also boasts a host of personal items to help you to enjoy your stay including binoculars, beach chairs, boogie/wave boards, a small cooler to carry your drinks and much more. When we arrived the condo was also stocked with the initial 'essentials', such as paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap, hand soap, etc. to help us get started for the week. The rental process was easy. The owner communicated clearly with us including the self check in process. A few tips. We were not impressed with the Feast at Lele luau. We preferred the Old Lahaina Luau. The best grocery store we found for the two of us was Island Grocery Depot located at 58 Kupuohi Street in Lahaina. This is a local grocery store with less choice and better quality items. You can even make your own coffee and pick up local home baked goods. We took a Harley Ultraglide out for a full day around the island. We rented it through Eagle Rider. If you ride, this a breathtaking way to see the Maui coast. Our return to Maui was better than expected, as was our condo rental. We definitely recommend your stay at the Mahana, #107. We will be back soon.

Very clean, we loved being at ground level.

Great sunsets over the edge of Molokai. Excellent restaurants nearby, our favorite was Leoda's kitchen and Pie Shop. Downtown Lahaina was a blast, restaurants and shops by the water. We were fairly close to surfing, snorkeling, hiking, and zip lining was a little further. Wouldn't hesitate to book the same condo again!
