Well located and clean but not entirely comfortable.

We stayed for a full two months and were grateful for the monthly rental option and the walking distance location to downtown Vernon and the cleanliness. However, the heat was controlled by the renters downstairs and we had to sweat or open windows in the winter to gain some relief. They also utilised all of the television streams so we sometimes could not watch television without cancelling their recording sessions. The kitchen has good major appliances but otherwise is tired and worn out...lids without bottoms, etc. Loved having laundry in the unit. The showerhead sent streams of water that pierce the skin like needles...uncomfortable. We would not stay in the upstairs unit again due to the heat issue and the compromised kitchen and the showerhead.

Quaint, cozy but with no AC in the middle of summer we didn't spend much time here

This place has had some impressive upgrades to make it very comfortable. Being across the street from the law court building the area is very quiet. Located close to downtown anything you need is writhing walking distance, except the beach.

Without air conditioning we did not spend much time at the house. The private deck and BBQ made spending time in the backyard enjoyable.

There are lots of features available at this house to make it feel like home.

Owner's Response: Air conditioning is a future purchase when the budget allows. It is a very hot last few weeks in the Okanagan yes.

Great for families

I rented the main floor 2 bedroom apartment (photos not shown) for a month so I could have a home base while visiting family in the area. With 3 young boys, the house was perfect for us; It has a good, fenced-in outdoor space which was ideal for the kids to kick a ball around and a great place to hang out and have family dinners and get-togethers. The house was clean, very nicely renovated and decorated and situated on a quiet street within walking distance to town and Polson Park.

The only features which were missing would have been air conditioning (as temperatures were at record highs during my stay) and a dishwasher. Being on the bottom floor as well meant hearing noise at times from the upper apartment, depending on the tenants.

Even though I never met the owner of the property, she was very accommodating and responsive via e-mail.

I would definitely recommend this apartment and we all look forward to coming again!

Family Visit

Bell House B was a wonderful home away from home while I visited family in Vernon. The well appointed kitchen, in suite laundry and tastefully decorated rooms all added to a warm, friendly, quiet environment to come back to at the end of the day. The driveway was cleared of snow and steps salted. It was within walking distance to downtown Vernon for shopping and even without a car I could get to Kelowna via public transportation. The owner replied promptly to any requests and facilitated a great two week stay. Cross country skiers could make this a base to ski Sovereign Lakes trails which is 15 minutes away or Silver Star is only 20 minutes. Please think about using this great property for your Vernon visit.
