About Richard Ham

I first moved to this area in 1974 and fell in love with the lifestyle and pace of life. I've made my living over the years as a contractor and rental property owner. I particularly like the vacation rental business, as i get to meet a lot of great people and can introduce them to our beautiful area.

Richard Ham purchased this house in 2004

Quaint, clean, lovely cottage. The outdoor space is awesome. It is secluded and quiet.

  • 5 of 5

It was great to have access to a washer and dryer. Everything you need for a great get away. We purchased a new umbrella and left it for the next lucky tenant because the ones there were not usable. There is also snacks and an ice block that didn't melt all day at the beach for the next vacationers. We'd definitely stay again. We didn't have a car and walked everywhere. When we needed a ride, we called freebeachride.com and had clean friendly service and it is for tips only. One recommendation would be a couple of bikes. We found that Merry pier does not rent them any longer, so bikes would be an asset.

So popular it's finally worn out.

  • 2 of 5

Sorry to say the cute cottage has worn out. We stayed before; this time mattress was shot, floors dirty, room chairs and sofa sagging and fabrics soiled. Just plain worn out. Time to deep clean and replace old furniture. Location and fenced front yard still a huge plus.

Nice View of Bay!

  • 4 of 5

This is the second time we have stayed at this house with our two fur babies. This best thing about this house is the location and the nice porch, deck and fenced in yard. It is perfect for a couple and maybe one more person. The only con is this visit we noticed that it could use a good through deep cleaning. All in all i would recomend to anyone looking for a nice view and outdoor relaxation.

Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

The property is a perfect location for those who want to be very close to everything, but far enough away to be able to enjoy the quietness of the evenings and the mornings at the beach. If you like being close to all the sights the St. Pete area has to offer but also enjoy the small beach town feel this is definitely the place to be. The cottage was very clean and extremely nice for longing on the patio. A perfect view of the inter-coastal waterway from this cottage and just a short one block walk to the white sands of Pass-A-Grille beach. Truly enjoyed our week.

Wonderful Get-Away House

  • 5 of 5

What an awesome place! You cannot beat the location in Pass-a-Grille -- it's a half a block from the beach, a couple blocks from the restaurants and shops, but still quiet and peaceful. The house was really upgraded nicely and was very well stocked with everything you need for a week at the beach, including beach chairs, noodles, and rafts. The covered porch was a great area to sit in the shade after time in the sun. Inside the AC worked well and was quiet, and the house was just the right size for us. The off-street parking was nice too and the Owner is a local guy and quick to respond if you need anything. We highly recommend it and hope to be back someday!

The perfect house in the perfect location

  • 5 of 5

This house exceeded all of our expectations. It is perfectly appointed for 2 guests and their pets. The home was immaculately well maintained. The location could not have been better, situated between two beautiful bodies of water and two blocks from some great restaurants! Pass a Grille is our new favorite beach destination in Florida, with a stunningly beautiful beach that is never overly crowded and a perfect old time beach town that allows you to really unwind. I strongly urge anyone looking for a perfect beach getaway to consider this home.
