Everything and More!

Since we had an 18-month-old who required naps, location was of primary importance and this home was perfect (very safe home for the little one as well). Less than 15 minutes from practically everywhere and a lovely park with playground amenities just a block away. Cadena answered all our questions promptly both before and after booking the property. The house is well maintained and was exceptionally clean. It was equipped with everything we needed, including top-of-the-line kitchen appliances, ample dishware and utensils. The photos are spot on, with the outside patios just perfect for enjoying the beautiful San Diego weather. Many shops and restaurants easily within walking distance. We highly recommend this property and look forward to renting it again on our next trip to San Diego.

Quaint, tired old house in a great area

Chose this house as much for the location as for the number of bedrooms. Found it to be close to a number of restaurants and coffee shops and also the zoo and park which was great.

Unfortunately we arrived to find the house not cleaned from the previous occupants so this caused a bit of an upset and after a few phone calls this was rectified. Courtney arrived to service the house and did really well. I think we were caught in between a rift with the rental company and their old cleaner. This did delay our entry to the property. (We were given $100 refund)

The house itself is an old, charming property but now looking a bit tired and due maybe its yearly proper clean. The inventory does need updated - no iron or ironing board was to be found, only one hairdryer not two and several badly chipped plates.

It does state that to access the upstairs bedroom or washing machine area you have to walk through the downstairs bedroom. This didnt cause us a problem really. However a small chest of drawers would have been welcome as there is nowhere to hang or place any clothes in the room.

Overall, a nice, quiet area in a house thats been quite grand at one time.

Long Beach

Perfect for (old) Girl Getaway

The house worked out very well for our reunion. We were 6 women, all in our 60's. The kitchen and bathrooms were completely equipped and we had lots of good times hanging out in the open kitchen/dining/living room/den together. Original house is a small, historic craftsman with a 2nd floor add-on. As noted, you have to pass thru one of the bedrooms to get to the upstairs suite, and climb up a very narrow circular stairway. But it is worth it- the upstairs master suite is beautiful, has a great bed, and its own deck with a view. Beds in downstairs bedrooms are on the small side. We really enjoyed the neighborhood! Has a cozy, historic feeling with interesting little restaurants, pubs, vintage clothing, and coffee shops, all walking distance. Had a memorable, delicious dinner at Cirque - I recommend it.

Beautiful and very comfortable home

This is a lovely and very well equipped home. Its so very close to a great park and several restaurants and coffee shops. The home was spotless and easy to enjoy. It easily sleeps 6 and was perfect for dinner with our extended family. Great place!

Picture Perfect Property

We really enjoyed our stay at the Custom Craftsman home. The house was just as the pictures described and the location was 20 minutes from everything. We were two couples one with an 8 year old and a single adult. The second bedroom on the first floor is a pass thru room so anyone staying there needed to put up with those staying in the upstairs room walking thru to get to the kitchen in the morning. For our group, it worked just fine. The amenities in the kitchen and bath were all great. We made use of the outdoor grill, super easy and the washer and dryer. Street parking was a little tricky during high traffic times but we always found something just 2 blocks away if not on the same block. The garage and driveway parking were fantastic. We would definitely stay here again!
