US based London Connection 4 bedroom 3 bath Mews House

Sloane Square is one of the most desirable areas in central London. This reputation is due to the fine restaurants, shopping, excellent transportation, and fine houses and flats. Sloane Square Tube Station has both the Central and District lines which offer excellent transportation throughout the city. But there is one real benefit to living in the residential areas around Sloane Square: it is quiet. The property the London Connection is offering is a mews house in a very quiet location very near Lower Sloane Street, just across the street from the Sloane Club. The location is amazing. The accommodation is a three-minute walk to the tube station, 5 minutes to the Duke of York Plaza on the King's Road, and ten minutes to Harrods. Carafini, a very famous Italian restaurant, is just on the corner, and along Lower Sloane Street a visitor will fine an Italian market, a small food market, a tailor, and wonderful antique shops--some of the finest in London. Some of London's finest antique shops and designer shops are along Pimlico Road and Holbein Place including Lord Linley's retail store. The historic Royal Hospital of Charles II is around the corner, and a lovely walk through Eaton Square is five minutes distance. It is perfect. I love the walk up Sloane Street past Cadogan Square and the old Cadogan Hotel. Lilly Langtree lived on Pont Street, just up the way.

The property we are offering in located in one of the quiet mews streets in this desirable area. It is a house on three floors with all the charm and beauty one would expect in this affluent area. On the ground floor, there are two double bedrooms--one with two twins, and one with a double bed. A full bathroom with shower over the tub, wash hand basin, and loo is attached to these two bedrooms. Up a very small flight of original period stairs one will find an elegant living room filled with beautiful paintings, 18th century furniture, and fine bronze sculptures including a large pair of bronze polo ponies and riders. The dining table in a separate eating area will seat six/seven persons. The kitchen has all machines including microwave, oven and hob, dishwasher. A washer/dryer is located in a hidden cupboard in the bedroom on the ground floor. On the top floor of this lovely mews are two double bedroom, both with queen size beds, good storage, and large windows. Each bedroom on this floor has its own en suite bathroom, one with a shower stall, sink, loo and the other bathroom with tub, shower, and loo. The bedrooms are filled with beautiful decorative items. A mews property of this size and quality is a very rare offering for short-let visitors to London. They are such desirable properties, and a visit to London in this accommodation is fantastic. Imagine, four bedrooms and three bathrooms in a mews house just off Sloane Square in Belgravia. Fantastic indeed. If you are in this budget, this is a first rate property. Visitors to this property must be aware of the fabulous collection of artwork and 18th century furniture in the house and are willing enjoy being careful in these surroundings. This is a far cry from a casual beach house in Florida. You will love staying here. It is really fabulous. By the way, my favorite restaurant in London is just around the corner on Holbein Place. There are two televisions--one in the master bedroom and one in the lounge and Internet is installed in the house Perfect! HIGH-SPEED INTERNET with wireless router (802.llb/g) has been installed for those traveling with computers. Property is designated non-smoking.

The flat was, quite simply, perfect. We were seven adults (three married couples + me) in London to celebrate my 40th birthday and the flat could not have been a better fit. The space was just right, enough so that we could spread out, but cozy enough that we felt like we were in a proper English Mew house. Especially impressive was the amount of hot water! I don't know how big the hot water heater must be, but to provide for seven hot showers every morning! The convenience also could not be beat, we made great use of the neighborhood itself as well as access to the Tube. I have been singing the praises of the flat and, will be a repeat customer!

wonderfully London

we truly enjoyed our stay, there were 7 of us and the set up was great, rooms were good, different areas to hang out, living & dining rooms. the location was perfect, close to the tube.

The best place in London

The home was amazing! It was 2 blocks from the Tube and some lovely shops on King's Avenue. There were 8 of us and it provides enough space. We were on London for a wedding and the Tube was only two stops away from everything. The kitchen had everything so we cooked breakfast's everyday there for all of us. The Wifi was a bit slow but I guess that happens when there are 8 of us using it at the same time.

Lovely home; great location!

My wife and I stayed here for several days with our 5 children. Everything was set up beautifully for our stay. The house was clean, and very cosy, with plenty of both sleeping space and hang-out areas for everyone to relax. Cristina the host was great about showing us around the place when we arrived, and was extremely helpful in mailing us an item we accidentally left behind when we checked out.

We also found this house very convenient. There are a number of very nice pubs, coffee houses, and restaurants around, as well as a nice market area a few blocks off sloane square for local & organic groceries. The tube is an easy and short walk, which made it a snap to get anywhere else in London.

Definitely highly recommended!

Perfect location and well-appointed

We were a party of eight (six adults and two kids, ages 10 and 12) staying in this home for a week. Location cannot be beat - a 3-minute walk to the Sloane Square tube, where both the District and Circle lines run, and just three stops to Westminster Abbey. The home is very well-appointed, and the beds were comfortable. No real complaints at all. If I were to be extremely nit-picky, the door to the first-floor bedroom with the two single beds has a hard time staying propped open (there is a doorstop provided for this purpose but it struggles a bit), which you will want to do since otherwise the room will heat up when the lights are on. I think this room was converted from an old garage since the windows are very high up the wall and do not open. In July or August, you might want to use a portable fan in this room. Other nit-picks: no half-bath on the 2nd level, which is where one would entertain any guests (kitchen, living room, etc.). But really, if those are the biggest issues? It's more than fine. The neighborhood feels extremely safe and there are plenty of choices for cafes and restaurants nearby. All in all a great option for a large party looking to be centrally located in something a bit nicer and homier than your typical sterile hotel. One word of caution: the home is FULL of art (see the picture of the bust in the front entrance) so if you have kids under the age of 5 who think everything is a makeshift jungle gym, this might be a bit risky. I can't imagine the replacement cost for some of these items if they were broken. :)
