Vicki is the hostess with the mostest! This place is absolutely wonderful, close to everything, but not in the town of Colonial Beach! Quiet and secluded with amazing views of the water. Fireworks were wonderful. You don't need to bring anything but your clothes and food, Vicki has thought of everything you will need. This wonderful woman even offered to help me unload my car. She treats you like family. Thank you Vicki for everything. Did I mention - WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

A Lovely Place

  • 5 of 5

We had a great three day weekend. The house is wonderful, clean, and peaceful. You are truly a guest of Vicki, she makes sure you feel welcome and wants to make sure you enjoy your stay. I agree with the other reviews - great views, great dock, great beach. We want to go back again soon.

water, beach, a dock, serenity and a comfortable home

  • 5 of 5

-the gliders in the window and the screened in porch, give you such a great alternative to being out in the weather if you need it.

-you can sit down on a private beach or go sit on the dock if you want to be outside, very cute little private beach

-also the wildlife is awesome, we saw osprey, ducks, swans, blue heron, vultures when we were there in May

-Don't worry about forgetting any necessities-Vicki makes sure you have what you need.

-Theres a Channel guide (I love when I have that available when I rent a home)

-Wine glasses, bottle opener, cold glasses for beer, ice, water, condiments and paper products also there for, your use.

-The bed was comfy.

-The house was very welcoming and comfortable and the decor was perfect.

-And did I mention the gliders in the picture window??? (To die for)

-And Vicki is the perfect host, even before your stay, she is caring and thoughtful and helpful, actually the best host we have ever had during our stay ANYwhere

-You have to go here, you will not regret it.

-Make sure you go to Washington's birthplace. It really is a great way to learn about that time and to actually stand on the grounds where Washington stood. And the gardens are so cool too.

The pictures do not do this place justice, you must see and feel it first hand :)

More than what we ever expected.

  • 5 of 5

Vicki is such a great hostess, her home is beautiful. It was above and beyond all of our expectations. Great place to just get away and relax. We are all older and not very active, but if your younger it would be a great place too, children can go swimming, etc... She has outdoor and indoor games, fishing poles, grill, you name it I think she has it there. If you like history George Washington's Homestead id only a few miles away, along with a lot of other places. In case you forget something, Vicki has it there, I've never rented a vacation home when the host or hostess goes out of there way to help in any way, Vicki even helped us with directions to get back home an easier way. I just can't say enough good about this home, very clean and nice. Beds are comfortable, rooms are furnished beautifully, beautiful sunsets, and sunrises. Just amazing, will go again if my health holds up. Susan Cook, Temple, Pa.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much Susan! You guys were great guests & it was so nice to meet you all! Nothing makes me happier than to know that someone who spends their vacation at my place had a great experience & that it was everything they were expecting & more. I like to have everything there (except your clothes & food) to make it easy & convenient. I am always happy to do anything I can to make vacation stress free & I am glad my directions helped you get back home more quickly. Thanks again, see you next year (or sooner)!

One of the reasons I chose to rent this property was the great reviews others left. From the moment I requested this property, I received nothing less than the very best treatment. Vicki was so very helpful, welcoming and friendly. I was not disappointed in any way during this trip and only wish we could have spent more time there. By far, this was my best experience in renting a vacation home. Looking forward to returning next year! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home and for making every bit of this trip so easy!

The property was beautiful. All though the weather wasn't great we still had a great time. Vicky is a wonder full hostes and very flexible. We didn't get in until late Sunday evening she was there to great us and show is around the house. She even came the next morning to clean up the beach for us. We can't wait to stay again and hopefully longer next time!

Owner's Response: It was a pleasure to have you stay at Swan Creek. I am sorry the weather didn't cooperate, but I am glad you got to relax. My place is definitely a good place to do that, no matter what they weather. The view is different, but still interesting and beautiful on the water, even when the weather is rainy. The super moon was spectacular, even with the clouds. I would love to see you come back for a longer stay in the future, I hope you can make it. Thanks so much, Vicki
