About Bill Hayne

Hello, I am Bill. Live in Denver, Play in grand Lake :)

Bill Hayne purchased this house in 2005

Why Bill Hayne chose Northwest

We built this house in 2005. We designed it and put our heart and soul into it. We lived here for 2 years and had our second child here. Then we made a family decision to move to Denver. We rented this house out long term for a while and now we have decided to go with VRBO. We love Grand Lake for all the things it offers everyone. The small town atmosphere make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. The beauty of the area regardless of the season makes it a great mini vacaton spot for our family. Winter activies such as snowmobiling, cross country skiing, sledding, ice skating, ice fishing. Summer activies are endless.

What makes this house unique

This large clean house is nesteled on the edge of the Rocky Mountain National Forest. The views from the decks are spectacular. The backyard has a great climbing rock for the kids and a very shallow creek goes by. There are so many wildlife to look for on your visit from moose to foxes. 10 minutes from the national forest entrance, great for hiking. The house is only 1.5 miles from town. Since it backs up to the national forest it is also a snowmobile in/out property. Snowmobile right out of the driveway to the national forest snowmobile trails...or if you need to go to town to get some milk, the town in snowmobile friendly during winter. During the summer you can rent bikes in town.

Good

The house is very nice. However there were several lights burnt out, the beds were not all clean, it appeared the floors were minimally vacuumed, and some dishes in the cupboards were put away dirty. Overall we enjoyed our stay the house is conveniently located and easy to get to just wish we wouldn't have had to clean as much to use the house.

Wonderful Experience

  • 5 of 5

This is such a beautiful property! We loved every minute of our stay here and really didn't want to leave. We saw a baby moose being nursed just a few feet from the back deck! I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away from the city with family. Plenty of space and everything you need. Can't wait to go back.

Comfortable & Great Location

  • 5 of 5

The property owner, Bill, was very responsive & helpful from the very beginning. The house was in a great location - short distance to both Rocky Mountain National Park & downtown Grand Lake. It was a great house for 3 couples and 2 small children. All of the rooms were very clean and comfortable. I won't hesitate to stay here again if we will be in the Grand Lake area.

Beautiful Mountain Home

  • 4 of 5

We recently booked this home in Grand Lake, and stayed with a group of 8. The house is laid out quite nicely, with one large Master bed and bath upstairs, and the other 3 bedrooms and 1 bath downstairs. The beds were very comfortable!! We cooked most of our meals in and found the kitchen to have everything we needed. The house was clean, and in a GREAT location. It was very easy to get downtown. There is also a restaurant/bar within walking distance if you choose not to drive anywhere. The views were beautiful and we enjoyed sunning on the large deck. Bill was wonderful to deal with! We were there for a wedding, and the venue cancelled on the bride and groom at the last minute. I contact Bill to let him know we might need to change weekends. Even though everything worked out, he was incredibly flexible. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was because there was no cable tv, and our stay was during the World Cup, so EVERYONE wanted to watch the games. I would absolutely stay here again!

Clean, nicely furnished, great location, moose sightings, and a lot of fun!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a friend's wedding and it was perfect all around. We comfortably fit 10 people in the house and had plenty of space to make meals together and eat around the table on the deck. Access to trails and Rocky Mountain National Park is quick and easy. We were able to walk home from Grand Lake Lodge after the wedding, which was great (a little bit of a trek, but manageable). On our last day, we saw a momma moose and her two calves right in the backyard for our own private viewing. All in all, a great place to stay, plenty of beds and space. A great place to gather with friends!

Christmas Vacation

  • 5 of 5

This home was amazing!! It was really easy to find. Very close to town, and close to snowmobile trails. Home was clean, and well oragnized. I would definitely recommend to friends and family! All the shops in Grand Lake were fun. There's something for everyone.
