Smaller third bedroom, perfect for children or couple, has own large bathroom across the hall, with seafoam green Art Deco deep soaking tub/shower combo, and lots of counter space. Tiled Art Deco kitchen with large center island lets you spread out while cooking. Brand new refrigerator w/own icemaker for those cocktails out by the pool. Two large living rooms! Two dining areas, one formal, one breakfast area. House has high chair and porta-crib for our littlest guests. We welcome families!
Lounge around by the gem-like swimming pool with your favorite summer drink in the sunny, green back yard, or spend the evening socializing with friends or family in the brand new hot tub with massage jets. Complete and total privacy in the large backyard, with raised barbecue and dining pavilion, for those sweet summer barbecues by the pool.
This private, 2 story villa on a quiet, tranquil lane that backs to large green fields is the perfect oasis to come home to and relax after a full day of wine tasting or exploring. It feels secluded, yet is close to everything: 5 minutes from downtown restaurants and theatres, even closer to major and gourmet grocery stores. In the morning, walk one short block to the 'Cafe De Croissant' and it's piping hot buttery creations, or a little further to Starbucks. Or cook up a huge breakfast in this well-stocked modern kitchen.
There are major wine roads in all directions from the house: 10 min. to the south is the verdant Sonoma Valley, with it's lush vineyards and stately old oaks. Stop in at Ledson Winery incredible Gothic castle for a picnic from their deli on their beautiful grounds, take in the serene French chateau at St. Francis Winery, or go underground into the wine caves of Kunde.
Ten min. to the north on Hwy 1 is the quaint town of Healdsburg, with it's charming Victorian square, tasting rooms, shops, Zagat rated restaurants, and the hopping off point for the Dry Creek Valley wine road, with dozens of award winning boutique wineries, and the fabulous gardens out at the villa at Ferrari-Carrano Winery, always worth a visit. Or head NW to Calistoga, the starting point for Napa's famed Silverado Wine Trail. Relax in this Victorian town's mud baths and sparkling hot springs!
Or head out to the redwoods, only 20 minutes away, and do 'the Loop': stop in at the last of the free tasting rooms, Korbel Champagne Cellars, and savor gourmet sandwiches under the Redwoods in their outdoor cafe, with a glass of bubbly or your favorite microbrew. Then stop for a leisurely, level stroll at Armstrong Redwoods State Park, easy for non-hikers, and gaze at 350 ft. tall giants along fern-filled streams. After that, it's only about 15 min. to our wild Sonoma Coast, with it's famed coves an bluffs and many beautiful beaches. After a day at the beach, go south, and stop in for wine tasting on the sundeck of Gourmet au Bay, or watch the sun set eating huge fried oysters or other seafood in the picture window of Lucas Wharf Restaurant in Bodega Bay. Turn back in to the little town of Bodega, where Hitchcock's 'The Birds' was filmed, and if the shops are still open, go antiquing. Then it's home through Sebastopol (and maybe a stop at Screamin' Mimi's Ice Cream), back to Santa Rosa and that waiting hot tub!

I fell in love with Sonoma County in 2007, drawn by the beauty and tranquility of its Sonoma Valley; it was the perfect place to get away from the noise and bustle of San Francisco. I come here to relax and rewind.
I love that my property is so close to everything (restaurants, downtown, the gorgeous wine valley appellations in every direction), yet feels so private and secluded. I can truly relax here, behind the high white walls and in my sunny, private backyard. It's quiet, and it's serene.

Thanks so much for the wonderful house! We enjoyed our stay and all the
beautiful flowers only added to our "happiness"!
The wineries were super and all our "new" friends were the perfect hosts!
Thanks again for sharing with us,
This is a great property if you are looking to stay in the heart of Santa Rosa. The 5 of us slept comfortably. This was most well stocked rental of any property we have rented. The owner was very easy to work with. The property was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
We had three couples stay. Plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen has anything you need for cooking. Property is very well kept and beautiful. Great location to wine country. Sonoma County, NAPA, Plus only a little over an hour from SFO
This was a fun place for a girl's get away weekend. Aurora was so easy to work with. She gave a wonderful recommendation for dinner, had a bottle of wine in the refrigerator to welcome us, and even had a birthday cake waiting for our celebration. The house is very retro, which adds to the charm, has comfortable beds, plenty of room to relax, and is in a good location for jumping on the highway to explore wine country. Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because some electrical outlets don't work, so we woke up with dead phones a few times. There is also no door on one of the bathrooms which makes it very awkward. However, that little detail did provide moments of comedy relief. Overall, a great place to stay while enjoying beautiful Sonoma wine country.
The house was spacious, with everything stocked beyond our expectations. Loved the hot tub, and beds very comfortable. The location of the house was great ,close to a lot of things we wanted to do. Would highly recommend Aurora's vrbo. We had a great time despite rain every day. Would recommend going earlier in October.
We loved the house! It was very spacious, comfortable and conveient to restaurants and to several wineries. We would highly recommend this property!
PERFECT place to stay! Upon arriving, we got to met the owner Aurora. She was very nice and made us feel at home. How sweet too that she left us a bottle of wine to start our stay and some nectarines to snack on. This house fit 3 couples wonderfully. We would eat breakfast, then visit wine country each day and ended up back at the house late afternoon to relax for the evening. Room for everything and everyone. Sitting room, dining area, living room (with television, which we didn't watch as this was a getaway and wanted to spend quality time with family). Much of the time we sat outside either in lounge chairs or at the patio table n chairs. We really enjoyed the pool, the hot tub, cooking meals in a nice and completely stocked kitchen, and also loved using the charcoal grill (a big gas grill was available as well). The backyard was full of beautiful flowers and plants and kept very nice. Everything was very clean when we got there. Very comfortable beds and linens. Bathrooms were well-stocked with towels, t.p., kleenex, shampoo, creme rinse, and lotion. A Safeway store was not too far away. Wineries not far really either. We also took a drive one day along the pacific ocean and to see the redwood trees. Neat experience. LOVED EVERY BIT OF THIS BUCKET LIST VACATION!!! If we ever come back to the area, would definitely stay here again :-)
