We had not stayed at this end of the island and really enjoyed the country atmosphere with stores and restaurants just down the hill. The beautiful church, constant breezes, sounds of the island, gorgeous views to Tortola and beyond, and multi-levels of a fully stocked home. Mr. Prince met us in Cruz Bay and we followed in our 4-wheel drive rental car (highly recommended). Clearly built with love and pride. Thank you!!!!!
We had a wonderful time at the villa. Kenneth and his wife were very kind and responsive to anything we needed. The road to the villa is a challenge but actually was a lot of fun once we got used to it. The villa is very clean and well supplied. It is nice that previous renters left behind some basics, like salt, pepper, olive oil, etc. Kenneth replaced the grill the first day we were there to make sure it was in good working order and had someone out to look at the AC because it was glitchy. The view was the best view I have ever had on a vacation. Absolutely, stunning. Be forewarned however, you will hear the roosters down in the valley in the morning! Coral Bay is quiet and quaint. We really enjoyed Skinny Legs. Great burgers and live music. I would recommend the villa but make sure you have a vehicle that can travel a rocky path (it's not really a road). We would stay here again.
We truly enjoyed our stay here. The home was impeccably clean and very spacious. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and preparing lunches that we took with us to the beach. We really appreciated the full sized cooler for bringing water bottles and sandwiches to the beach. Our three teens loved the pool in the morning when the sun was on it and before we headed to the beaches. Access to the pool could be prevented when the gates were locked for families with smaller children. Kenneth the manager was wonderful and even met us at the ferry dock to ensure we found our car rental and then he led us to our rental home. That was perfect since I don't think we could have found it ourselves - the home is tucked away on the mountain and requires an SUV to traverse extremely rocky, curvy roads during the last 10 minutes up the mountain. Overall, we liked this location - very different than the last time we stayed at the Westin. We liked exploring this quieter side of St. John and found some really great restaurants along these roads. We also enjoyed seeing the wild donkeys and goats each time we drove up these quiet roads. Hiking trails and the beaches are all within a 20-30 minute drive away. We truly enjoyed the sunsets and dinner at Concordia Cafe, the pizza at Indigo Grill and the fish at Shipwreck Landing. The only negative we found was the pillows were a little flat - but I'm fussy about my pillows and should have remembered to bring my own.
Everything you need. Very clean. The country filling with roosters and goats down the hill. You must rent Jeep to drive to the villa. December- the best time to stay on St.John. There is no summer hit, 1-2 minute showers and wonderful rainbows almost every day you enjoy right from the balcony of the villa .
Would reiterate all the positive reviews. House was perfectly equipped with everything you need for your stay on St John and everything to make your stay comfortable. Little things are done right too. Towels are new, pillows, linens and mattresses are all comfortable, internet worked well, etc. And sunrises over the bay are beautiful. Coral bay is over the hill from popular beaches but less than a 15 minute drive and Coral Bay has its own vibe that I am glad we didn't miss.
We had a wonderful stay here in ChinCherry. The home was spacious and spotlessly clean, and very very comfortable. Kenneth Prince was so helpful and a great person. Everything we needed was provided for - beach towels, beach chair, cooler, bbq, and a full kitchen, the bedrooms were quiet and air conditioned and the view from the balcony's was stunning. A must thing to do is to view the sunrise its just amazing. The pool was great after a long day on one of the many relaxing beaches on St John. I will agree that driving to the villa is a bit of adventure. Must see beaches we visit were Trunk bay, Honeymoon bay, Cinnamon bay, Maho bay and Salt Pound bay. If your in Cruz bay for good food visit Virgin Fire and for the best Bfast go to The Landing next to the ferry dock.
