About Anthony Scotti

Anthony and Victoria have been living in Valencia 10 years. He is from New York and she is from Estonia. Victoria is an Artist and Anthony started Valencia Rooms in 2006. We moved to Valencia as newlyweds 10 years ago site unseen with just 2 bags and fell in love with the climate, people and lifestyle. We speak English Spanish,Estonian, Swedish and Russian.

Anthony Scotti purchased this apartment in 2008

Why Anthony Scotti chose Valencia

Valencia is the 3rd largest city in Spain but the old city is like a pequeño pueblo ,a small village, were you get to know the vendors in the market and people in the cafes. Our property is in the heart of Valencia surrounded by cafes, museums, small Squares, and quiet gardens. It is the center of life in Valencia and there are always cultural events to experience and participate in.

What makes this apartment unique

Our apartment is in a building that was completely renovated. It has all the modern conveniences and is in a relatively quiet location in the bustling old city. We are surrounded by the best cafes, bars and museums but there none on the street below.

The beach is a short tram or bike ride away and the Turia River Gardens are at the end of the street.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Our host Anthony responded immediately to all our queries during the booking process. Upon arrival, we were received in a prompt and friendly manner plus supplied with every necessary information. We had no problems at all during the check-out process. The apartment is located in a central but quiet and accessible part of the old city, close to the park that surrounds the old town. It is a wonderful starting point for any excursion into old Valencia as well as to the beach and the City of Arts. Bars, restaurants, little boutiques and grocery shopping are only steps away. We enjoyed renting bikes to explore all. The apartment itself is spacious, airy, clean, modern and very pleasant all together. The wifi was a huge plus. All in all, we can wholeheartedly recommend both our host and the apartment. We would be very happy to return in a flash!

Lovely apartment in excellent location

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful holiday in Anthony & Victoria's apartment. It was very spacious, attractive and comfortable and we had everything we needed. We would certainly rent it again on a future visit to Valencia.

It is brilliantly located, in a very Spanish area and yet only about 10 minutes walk from the main square in the old town , the Plaza de la Virgen. We enjoyed the various styles of architecture in Valencia, which included Gothic, Art Nouveau and ultra modern (the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias). And it was great to have the beach and the marina just a few minutes away by bus or tram.

We had some fun evenings eating delicious, inexpensive food in some of the very friendly local restaurants in our area.

We would certainly recommend this apartment.

As advertised and more!

  • 5 of 5

The apartment owners live in the same building which makes for check in efficiency. Any questions during my stay were responded to in a timely manner. Helpful information on the local sites and attractions. Map provided. The apartment itself was extremely well appointed, spacious and clean. Two decks with different sun exposures. Extremely well located in Old València. Supermercado a couple of doors away. Wi-Fi worked well. I highly recommend this apartment and would rent it again. Thanks Anthony.

Magnifico!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, myself, and our adult son stayed at this apartment for three nights. We wish we could have stayed longer. Besides being immaculate it had everything in it that we needed. The kitchen had everything for cooking, cleaning dishes, etc. The linens were all readily available. My husband's "must have" is coffee and there was a French press, and a Bialetti. There was even a teapot for my tea. A well stocked grocery store was easily within walking distance.

The bedrooms were spacious, beds comfortable, and showers were fantastic. Plenty of hot water and strong pressure! The WIFI is strong and reliable.

The neighborhood was very nicely located. Loads of families came out in the evening to play and eat in the plazas. Great food and restaurants all around, and an easy walk to anywhere in Valencia.

The pleasant owner of the apartment met us upon our arrival and explained everything to us, and was available if needed. I would highly recommend this apartment and the owner to anyone who wants to "live" in Valencia and enjoy themselves without a hotel.

EL Barrio del Carmen in the old City of Valencia is still a true residential neighborhood. with all of the services of a large city at your doorstep but the look and feel of a small village in the heart of old Valencia.

Valencia, the name itself brings up images of Sun, Oranges, and Sand. Valencia enjoys 320 days a year of glorious sunshine. It is a perfect place to enjoy life and be outside enjoying the River Gardens, sitting at a cafe or exploring the mountains and fields that surround the city.

From its Roman founding over 2000 years ago it has been fiercely contested over as a most desirable place to live. The Romans, Visigoths, Moors and Christian Kingdoms all fought over the sunny fertile plain that makes up and surrounds Valencia.

Valencia is a proud city. The original Latin name of the city was Valentia, meaning 'strength', or 'valour', Today it represents the essence of contemporary Spain—daring design and architecture along with experimental cuisine—but remains conservative and proud of its traditions.

Modern Valencia was best known for its flooding disasters until the River Turia was diverted to the south in the late 1950s. Since then the city has been on a steady course of urban beautification. The lovely bridges that once spanned the Turia look equally graceful spanning a wandering municipal park, and the spectacularly futuristic City of Arts and Sciences designed by Valencia born architect Santiago Calatrava, has created an exciting architectural link between the city center and the Mediterranean. Valencia has transformed itself in the last decade. Important International events like the 32nd and 33rd America's Cup and the European Gran Prix have put Valencia on the map as a major destination. They have also helped transform the Port and surrounding area as a lively destination place in its own right.

Valencia is the 3rd largest city in Spain and has all the cultural, educational and gastronomic benefits of a large city but still is a city of Barrios. Each like its own small pueblo or village with a friendly easy going cafe lifestyle. It is city where you are more likely to wake up to church bells and birds singing than traffic and urban noise. Valencia unlike its larger siblings Madrid and Barcelona still maintains an authentic Spanish lifestyle while it has grown into a vibrant modern city.

Of course we are biased as we come from Europe, the Americas, and Australia, and all chose to live here. Come visit and see for your self. All in all Valencia is a Perfect Place to be.
