I found Torrey and knew it was the land I loved.. and still love. It is a farming/tourist economy with some of the most genuine folks you would love to meet. My love of landscaping and the love of compliments made me realize how much I like to share. This property is our primary residence and we always welcome ideas on how to make it even more cozy. There is a grounds keeper on site during most of the year. Welcome home and enjoy.
Reda Herriott purchased this cabin in 1995
This was purchased to be a home.. It is now a vacation rentals, as work takes me away from the most beautiful place on the planet.
The quiet and more quiet.. The wildlife and birds. The most spectacular views. Just a short 2 block walk to the Torrey Post Office and little grocery store, yet only a couple of blocks to the North is the Fish Lake National Forest. Walking to the South is the Fremont River. The feeling of being safe and warm.. and at home
Wow, what a peaceful place with such evidence of lots of TLC. Your gardens are wonderful... We love being on the deck and feeling the wind --- good to not forget how noisy the city is... We loved exploring Capitol Reef, our favorite was driving to and hiking Upper Muley Twist Canyon.. Spectacular.. This way the perfect way to enjoy our anniversary and hope to take some of the peace and calm back home.
We hope to be back soon.. This time with our dog.. With Much Happiness and gratitude..
Our stay at Reda's caban was everything we hoped for. The cabin is quiet, peaceful, charming, clean and full of character (and great linens). Everything was provided for us to cook in the kitchen and bbq outdoors in the beautiful side yard with mountain views. Loved it!
Reda was very helpful. The property is delightful and the cabin charming and comfortable. Just a few minutes outside Capitol Reef park. We had a wonderful time!
My family of five with our teenagers loved our stay at Reda's place! While a short walk from town it is a super spot with plenty of space to enjoy outside and a warm, eclectic cabin when you move inside. Super comfy beds too. We hope to get back and spend a bit time when we do! Thank you Reda!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Reda's darling cabin in Torrey, Utah. The house was ready when we arrived and in excellent shape. The cabin has three nice bedrooms and two baths. I stayed in a cozy room upstairs and a fan brought in the cool night breezes. In order to read we rearranged some of the lighting, but it was not difficult. The location is perfect if you want to visit the National Park and surrounding areas---right off the main road. Very quiet, safe, and charming. I especially loved all the personal touches throughout the cabin. Can't wait to come back!! Thanks, Reda for such a nice home.
Charmingly and comfortably furnished 3-bedroom house conveniently located on quiet, dead-end rural paved road, yet just a 3-minute drive to town of Torrey, home of Slacker's excellent ice cream parlor, and 15 minutes to entrance to Capitol Reef National Park. Decks with views on both floors make for peaceful times. House is as described at its VRBO page and owner accommodating and nearby. Would've stayed longer if we could. Only caveat: Steep stairs to second-floor bedrooms might be difficult or inconvenient for some.
Torrey is in the midst of some of the most spectacular terrain in the United States and this cozy cabin was a wonderful place to stay while visiting it. The cabin is clean and comfortable and the porch/deck has a stunning view for enjoying the sunset with a glass of something. Three block walk into town for groceries or restaurants and only five minutes drive to the trails...we'll be coming back!
