There are many different aspects to this beautiful place in Sebastopol, West Sonoma County, California and we encourage you to visit our website and Facebook page for greater detail and an abundance of pictures. Below, we will tell you about the house, the organic gardens, the wild life, and this rate chance to live in the country.
First and foremost, it is a 23-acre mostly wild land. We have invited the wildlife to be at home here and for that reason you will often be able to see deer, raccoon, bobcat, and fox. Playing in the air currents above the land on a daily basis are the graceful turkey vultures, chatty red-shoulder hawks, and reserved, confident, red-tail hawks. All tenants are welcome to enjoy the private walking trails that wind through the forest, oak groves, and meadows on the property.
This beautiful rental is well placed at the top of the property for gorgeous sunset views. The 3-bedroom home, we call it the Retreat House, is surrounded with lush landscape, including a small waterfall and fish pond that can be heard from the jasmine-covered patio and from the kitchen, as well as two of the bedrooms. The hot tub is right outside the slider leading onto a roomy deck with great westward views. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. and no amplified sound is allow, which means you will hear the owls and the crickets.
Inside the Retreat House there are 3 bedrooms and an extra little room off the master for sleeping, too! The kitchen is fully equipped and there are three dining areas from which to choose, two inside and one outside. There is wireless high-speed Internet connection available. In the living room and master bedroom there are bookshelves for you to fill with your books and magazines. There is large 55" flat screen HDTV with streaming access for endless movies and music.. There are children's books, puzzles, and board games provided, too.
Upon arrival you will drive down your private drive for safe off-street parking. At the side of the driveway, there is an organic ready-to-use garden where you can grow your own tomatoes, squash, green beans, cucumbers, raspberries, and more. In the winter the weather is so temperate you can grow veggies like lettuce, kale, spinach, broccoli, and always an array of herbs and edible flowers. The best of Sonoma County awaits you here!
The school district here is Twin Hills, a top notch district! The house is only minutes from the darling town of Sebastopol, even though you will feel you are farther than that for all the peace and quiet you will enjoy!
So, whether you are seeking an outing with your family, a special vacation, or an experience with horses that matches no other, there is something here for you.

About Christine Cole
Dave and Christine have been hosting guests since 1999 on their 23 acre farm and wild land in west Sonoma County, California. They are dedicated to their animals and gardens and have opened their farm to the public through vacation rentals and tours for others to have the opportunity to learn about organic foods, compassionate community living, and sustainable choices.
Christine Cole purchased this Farmhouse in 1989
Why Christine Cole chose Sebastopol
This is a special place with a healthy mix of wild and domestic living harmoniously and respectfully together. It is close enough to the many enticing aspects of Sonoma County that draws thousands of tourist every year, yet tucked in to the hills in such a way as to feel privacy and peace. The best of both worlds.
What makes this Farmhouse unique
Full House Farm is unique in the opportunity to stay on a real farm, where gardens and animals sustain us, and you are welcome to partake and learn. The level of your interest dictates how involved you wish to be. You can harvest organic veggies for your meals or purchase delicious goat milk and other dairy products such as chevre, yogurt, kefir, lavender raspberry panna cotta (cream custard), blueberry cheesecake, and ice cream all made on the premises. You can insert yourself into the farm schedule, helping with chores like feeding and cleaning up after the animals, weeding in the garden, or performing simple maintenance. You can just bask in the peace or be actively involved. It is up to you.

very nice location
The location is perfect, away from almost all traffic (a couple cars in the morning), with wonderful views, yet close to Sebastopol, the Wildflour bakery and the beaches.
The house itself shows its age, but remains very enjoyable. The vegetable garden -even at the end of December- is a definite plus. Any issue is immediately solved, with a smile, wonderful!
And I forgot, the pictures are not half as nice as what we got
Awesome little gem in Sebastopol
Loved our stay at the Farm. Parents were totally comfortable, everything was clean and kept neatly. We were in desperate need of an iron (wedding), and there wasn't one in the house. Our host brought us one to use. That was pretty awesome! We will be back....
Ps...the hot tub was wonderful and a large amount of towels available for our use.
Awesome, one-of-a-kind spot
We had a wonderful weekend here at the farm! The house was just right for our group of 8 adults and 3 kids. The view off the deck is spectacular. Definitely make use of the garden—we made some delicious dishes with vegetables and raspberries. We all did the farm tour and had fun getting to know the animals. The house is also really close to downtown Sebastopol, which was convenient for getting the kids to a park and dropping by the market/restaurants.
Great for families with a real farm experience.
We just got home from Sebastapol where we stayed at the Full House Farm for 4 nights. It was a three generations get together to support our daughter (and mom of three) who competed in(and completed) the Ironman Santa Rosa. This is a great place for families. It easily slept 12 in spite of only three bedrooms. The master bedroom easily accommodated a family of 5 with the kids sleeping in the office/den adjoining. It is quiet (in spite of being near Sexton Road). Our grandkids (3 to 22) especially enjoyed the garden, hot tub, Farm Tour and the goodies you can purchase (blueberry cheese cake was a favorite). We also got into Santa Rosa several times including for Saturday's triathlon. Note: Highway 12 into Sebastapol can be a traffic nightmare....taking side roads can improve your timing and mood. It's beautiful country.
The location is close enough to the Pacific that it gets the moderating breezes (and fog) making it about 10 degrees cooler than the surrounding valleys.
Our hosts (Kaitlyn and Lindsay) were very courteous and prompt in responding to requests. Kaitlyn did a great garden orientation and our grandkids loved learning how to properly pick the veggies and raspberries.
there is also a very good (but somewhat pricey) restaurant called the Fork within a mile of the farm (you pass it on the way in from Sebastapol). We ate there one night and it had something for everyone (including pizza and pasta for the kids...even some toys to keep our three year old busy) and menu items that I can't even describe for our vegans, but who described the items as delicious. Also a rack of lamb for the more traditional. Good wine list as well.
All in all a great experience and highly recommended.
Perfect place for our family reunion
14 of us spent 4 nights at Full House Farm for a family reunion at Thanksgiving. It was the perfect place for us. We rented both the retreat house and the trailer. Everybody gathered at the retreat house for meals. It was comfortable and we never felt in each other's way. The property is beautiful and we loved walking around enjoying the view. Christine gave us a farm tour. We met all the animals and got to ask all the questions about raising goats, chickens and horses. The whole tour was fascinating. Full House Farm is only 10 minutes from the coast and yet conveniently close to Sebastopol.
Before we got there I was bombarded by petty rules, like: *we cannot have visitors, inmates in Cal. State prisons have more visiting rights then we did. *We had to take our shoes off prior to entering the house. Come on! this is a farm house, not A condo on 5th Ave. We had only one roll of bath tissue (had to go buy some). No paper towels (had to go buy some). no garbage bags (had to go borrow one). The front screen door was broken, found spiders every night.
Enough negative, We had a great time visiting family.
Your stay includes participation in one of our popular Farm Life Tours. We will show you how to use the Honor System Farm Kiosk to purchase fresh farm products like milk, yogurt, kefir, ice cream, caramel, cheesecake, and more. You can also step out onto your own private trails on the 23 acres here at Full House Farm, discovering places to picnic or view the wild life. And if you are interested, you can come down at chore time to help and/or view the milking of the goats.
