A Gem!

  • 4 of 5

We had a fantastic few days staying in this apartment. First, it is beautiful, with really interesting design details, fixtures, furniture, flooring, etc. We were four adults and one child and every bed was comfortable, linens too. We spent most of our time out, but ate breakfast and one dinner in and we had no trouble finding what we needed in the kitchen. The Associated grocery store a couple blocks away was surprisingly good for putting together an excellent meal, it had a deli section with baguettes and good cheeses and a good produce selection. As noted in the description, the subway was a short 10 minute walk and really convenient for getting into Manhattan quickly. Katie, the property manager, could not have been nicer or more responsive when we had any questions. I have nothing bad to say!!! Well, a couple suggestions: the pillows were great, but no extras, so bring your own if you like more than one. The living room could use a lamp in addition to the overhead light and one more comfortable chair if there are more than four people sitting in there at once. The dishwasher beeps repeatedly when it's done, we were not sure whether it would beep forever because one of us always woke up to turn it off, so beware. Otherwise, perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay.....we will be back!

Great space for a family of four.

  • 5 of 5

We have 2 teens and the apartment was great for us. Roomy and nice LR and kitchen spaces. About a 7 block walk to subway, with 2 markets near the apartment. Worked well for our 4 night stay visiting NYC for the first time.

Good sized unit with beautiful kitchen!

  • 4 of 5

My friends and I (4 total) stayed here for a weekend in Brooklyn. We had a very nice stay, and the property manager was very responsive. I would offer one suggestion, and that would be to get some new towels. The existing bath towels have a strong mildew odor. Other than that, everything was great, and I would recommend for a stay (especially for families or groups).

Pleasant stay in Brooklyn

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the Brooklyn apartment overall. The living room and kitchen were very roomy and comfortable, the neighborhood was nice, there was a short walk to the grocery store and transportation. The property manager's communication was excellent and there was great information on transportation, restaurants, etc. The only downside was the smaller bedroom off the kitchen was small, there was no waste basket or mirror, and not a lot of room for our luggage. Otherwise, this was a reasonable cost for a pleasant stay for two couples.

Great Experience

  • 5 of 5

We really appreciated having a washer and dryer. The beds were comfortable. Basically the facility met our needs as we were only there to sleep. Most of our time was spent in NYC. The metro was a 10 to 15 minute walk and we found the community to be going on about there lives as if we were not there. No problems. We normally returned very late and felt safe in lighted streets. Good information provided by the manager which we found to be very helpful.

Car: not necessary

Straddling the neighborhoods of Bushwick, Brooklyn and Ridgewood, Queens, the apartment is 5 blocks away from the Dekalb Street 'L' train station in Brooklyn—one of the best subway lines in the city. Union Square, the heart of downtown Manhattan, is only 15 minutes away via a direct subway ride; Williamsburg, Brooklyn's stylish boutiques, bars and restaurants are only a 7 minute train ride away.

Ours is a quieter, more residential neighborhood, but it is in an exciting stage of growth. In the last 5 years there has been a huge influx of artists and creatives in our immediate area. As a result, there is now a solid (and rapidly growing) number of stylish cafes, restaurants, wine bars, art galleries, yoga studios, and a great 24-hour gourmet/organic grocery store all within a 10-12 minute walk from the apartment. There are also local Italian bakeries, Halal butcher shops, Equadorian bodegas, Polish food markets and the best tasting Mexican tamales we've ever come across. All relevant information can be found in our Guest Welcome binder in the apartment and we hope that you will explore these local gems during your visit.
