About Denise and Dorene
Austin born sisters, Dorene and Denise have lived in Austin their entire lives. Our family and friends live here and we can not imagine living anywhere else! Austin is one of the hottest spots to visit in the nation. The combination of nature, live bands, and great food (Tex-Mex, barbeque, eclectic)...we just love Austin! We have owned and managed properties for 19 years and enjoy giving people a comfortable beautiful place to live and stay.
Denise and Dorene purchased this House in 2002
Why Denise and Dorene chose Dawson
This property was handed down to us from our father. He had the foresight to buy the property in the 1960's and it is very special to us. Our entire family grew up and attended school in this area and many friends remain. We have loved seeing how this area has changed and grown over the years and we can quickly tell you where something 'used to be'. We have remodeled the entire house and turned it into a South Austin gem. It is in the perfect location since it is conveniently located to downtown, restaurants, entertainment, nature walks, and shopping. Yet, you can still relax and get away from it all by sitting on the back deck with your favorite beverage.
What makes this House unique
The feeling in the house is one of being in a safe place and calmness. From the kitchen, bathroom and back deck you catch glimpses of the high rises of downtown. There is native landscaping and a large fenced in backyard with a three tiered awesome deck. There is also a little 'Hippie Room' just inside the carport. Located in a good location with speedy access to other areas in Austin via highways or major roads.

Great Character & Location
Centrally located property with a lot of character. The backyard patio is great for having a coffee and a breakfast taco (Torchy's is next door) and is also ideal for folks traveling with pets.
We were happy to have you and your pets. Hope to see ya next time.
Warm and cozy!
Very clean. Funky decor. Loved the heaters as it was really cold when we visited. Had everything we needed- thank you! Bed was very comfortable.
Consider new towels, mat.
Comfy and cozy.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your comfy home. Everything was perfect - just what we needed for our much needed get away! The house was clean, the beds were comfortable and the decor was funky and fun. Our fur baby, Maddie, especially enjoyed the backyard with the neighboring cats, dogs and squirrels. Thank you for sharing your home. Loved it!
Thanks for your charming review. Hope to have y'all in our home again.
Cute little house, close to downtown.
Owners were very helpful when we had questions.
Great for a weekend getaway or visiting family as we did
Glad you enjoyed your time in our home and Austin. Hope to have y'all back again.
Great place. Close to downtown
Nice neighborhood right off 1st St.. Good backyard for our dogs. The local cats are quite brave so take note if you have dogs. Block north of Cumberland which has a traffic light if traffic is too crazy in the morning to get on 1st St. But it wasn't bad in the morning for us. Toss Pizza across the street is more than just pizza, good appetizers (brussel sprouts) and good beer selection and open till midnight. The 2 bedrooms were great with cozy living room. Water pressure was very good, if you are into that thing....Had question for owners and they were very receptive and stayed in touch. Would definitely recommend
Thanks for the review. And yes, those cats a fierce, LOL. We're glad you enjoyed your stay with us.
Until next time. D&D
