Enjoy your vacation at our bright new Sandpoint Vacation condo. This 1240 square foot condo was purchased and furnished in the Spring of 2011. We love visiting Sandpoint ourselves, and we love to share our condo with guests!

This two bedroom, two bathroom condo can comfortably sleep 6. The master bedroom has a very comfortable memory foam king bed, as well as a twin daybed with a twin trundle bed (both with memory foam toppers), so a family of 4 can sleep in the Master bedroom. The master bedroom also has a TV, a DVD player and an adjoining bathroom.

The second bedroom has two bedding options – it can be set up with two twin beds, or the beds can be converted into one king-sized bed for a couple. These beds also have memory foam toppers, so they are very comfortable for adults or children. There is also a queen-sized airbed available. Both bedrooms have IPOD docking clock radios.

The livingroom, kitchen and dining area are open-concept, and very bright, with vaulted ceilings and huge windows overlooking the Cabinet Mountain range. Relax in our cozy leather couches in front of the fireplace and watch a movie on the HDTV with Cable TV, DVD player, and HDMI input. The mini stereo in the livingroom has an IPOD charging dock, and also has a line-in option for other mp3 players so you can listen to your own music.

We have a casual dining area, with a dining table for 4, and counter stools for 4 more. The kitchen is fully-stocked, with pots, pans, blender, coffee maker, popcorn maker, and enough spices and ingredients to get you started.

The patio is a lovely place for your morning coffee, or in the evening you can enjoy a barbeque supper and watch the sun set over the Cabinet mountains.

We have two kids ourselves so our vacation home is very child-friendly. We have a highchair, a playpen, baby bedding and a baby monitor for those traveling with young children. We also have plastic cups, plates, bowls, and sippy cups. There is a toybox filled with toys, and boardgames, books, and dvds for both children and adults.

Our condo doesn't come with a computer, but if you bring your own laptop there is a workstation with high speed wireless Internet and a printer you can use.

Our condo comes with two cruiser bikes and helmets, and we are very near a bike path, so you can ride into town or into Dover. We are also located one block from a bus stop for the free 'SPOT' bus, which can take you shopping, or to the base of Schweitzer Mountain to catch the shuttle bus.

Our condo is a block away from the Sandpoint West Athletic Club and Travers park, which is a huge beautiful park with kids' play structures, tennis courts, a skateboard/ BMX park, and playing fields. Our home is just one block from an espresso stand, and a few blocks from the Pine Street Bakery. It is under a mile to the downtown shops and restaurants, and just beyond that is the wonderful park at City Beach. We are one mile from the Festival at Sandpoint, and 15 minutes to Schweitzer Mountain resort. Our condo is exactly 30 minutes away from the Silverwood theme park.

Sandpoint is the perfect town for a summer or winter vacation. This beautiful and friendly town is located on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille, and at the base of world-class Schweitzer mountain ski resort. It's a fantastic place to enjoy the great outdoors, with wonderful hiking, mountain biking, cycling, skiing, snowboarding, boating and whitewater opportunities just outside your doorstep, but it's also an enclave of arts, culture and fine dining. Sandpoint has many great festivals, including the Festival at Sandpoint, a summer concert series in August, the wooden boat festival in July, and the “Lost in the 50's” festival in May.The historical Panida Theatre in downtown Sandpoint is a community-owned center for cinema, theatre and music.

Sandpoint is just one hour south of the Canadian border, and one hour from the Spokane International Airport.

We do not require a damage deposit. Property damage insurance is included in the rate.

About Kirsten Bradley

We are Kirsten and Kris, with our two sons. We live surrounded by wilderness in Northern Canada (which we love). We enjoy kayaking, mountain biking, hiking and camping. Kris works in forest fire management, so we aren't often able to travel during the height of summer, which makes the vacation rental option ideal for us.

Kirsten Bradley purchased this condo in 2011

Why Kirsten Bradley chose Idaho

We fell in love with Sandpoint when we first arrived. Sandpoint one of the most beautiful and friendliest towns we've visited. It's the perfect place for us to vacation. We love the easy access to spectacular wilderness areas. The steep mountain ranges are beautiful, but they also provide unparalleled opportunities for whitewater kayaking, mountain biking, hiking and skiing.

We love coming to Sandpoint in the summers to go to the lake, do some family cycle-touring trips (the Trail of the Hiawatha and the Trail of the Coeur D'Alenes), and do family kayaking on the Pack and Priest Rivers. We're also excited about coming down in the winter to teach the boys to ski on Schweitzer's legendary powder!

What makes this condo unique

We have two cruiser bikes and helmets that we leave with the condo for guests to use at their own risk. We love just parking the truck and biking everywhere. Everything is within easy biking distance of the condo and the town is pretty flat. We love spending time with the kids at Travers Park, and riding on the many paved bike paths in town. We love this condo because it is big enough for us to host friends and family.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful time at the condo. The air conditioning was a constant blessing. I can't think of a thing you missed. The unit was exactly what we expected, and we will definitely use it for future 4th of July reunions in Idaho. I was delighted to see one of the Harry Potter books. We are all Harry Potter fans. Thanks for inviting us into your home and letting it be our "home" for a few days. You've done very well, and should be successful at renting it out. Feel free to use me as a reference if you want to.

Very clean and spacious rental.

  • 4 of 5

Would have been nice to have coffee filters there for our first morning. Master TV was too small for our old eyes.

One of the best VRBO experiences I've had.

  • 5 of 5

I regularly use VRBO and found Kirsten's condo to be one of the best experiences. It is completely equipped with everything you need: coffee and other staples in the kitchen and shampoo etc in the showers. The fireplace was also a welcome site every evening. The condo is convenient to everything in Sandpoint, as well.

On a personal note: we immediately rebooked this condo for a Christmas visit and we had to cancel a week later. Kirsten was so understanding and made an exception to the refund policy. Fortunately, another family we knew rented the condo in our place.

You won't be disappointed with this lovely condo.

Perfect!

This property was perfect for our little family of four. Washer/dryer, fully stocked kitchen, plenty of extra bedding, and even movies for the kids for the evenings. We fell in love with Sandpoint and loved this property!

Comfortable, well-appointed condo

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay greatly. Very clean and well maintained. Nothing is lacking, and the kitchen is better equipped than most. Downtown, City Beach, and many restaurants are short drives (or short bike rides).

Sandpoint family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 2 adults & 2 children throughly enjoyed our vacation at Sandpoint and in Kristen's condo. Kristen was super easy to deal with and very prompt with her responses. The condo was exactly as advertised and is definitely larger than the pictures show. Sandpoint is a fantastic town with quite a bit to see and do if you look for it. The restaurants are also very good and we particularly enjoyed 2nd Street pizza (phone ahead if you can), Joel's Mexican and Mick Duff's. If you have kids a day or 2 at Silverwood is highly recommended.

Kristen's Sandpoint rental was perfect for us. We had two couples with two king size beds.

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay for the week of Lost in the 50's. It had everything that we needed. Kristen has thought of everything and has notes everywhere to document where things are located. It is on the second level which meant going up the stairs for us older folks. But we managed nicely. Also, was nice to have a covered parking space. We did not have young children, but her place was well equipped for a family with young children. We will definitely stay there again when we are planning a trip to the area. We would highly recommend this rental to others.
