About Terry and/or Brenda George

My wife and I bought this property after living in the area for a number of years. In this picture we are relaxing in the air-conditioned sunroom. It is a beautiful area that is convenient to everything, yet has all the charms of country life.

We have completely refurbished the entire house to make it modern and comfortable. It has been a labor of love to see our home become a restful and comfortable place to return to.

Terry and/or Brenda George purchased this house in 2010

Why Terry and/or Brenda George chose Middle

We have lived in this area for a long time and feel that there is no better location to visit or live in.

We did not actually stay at the property as it was completely inaccessible for us

  • 1 of 5

When we arrived in Nashville we got a taxi from airport after an hour and half in taxi and cost of 75 dollars we still had not found the property. It was getting quite dark and scary as we seemed to be in the middle of nowhere so we got the taxi to take us back into Nashville where we were lucky enough to get a hotel another 70 dollars for taxi. We felt the property was not accessible for downtown if you did not drive which we do not and after coming all the way from Scotland we felt it was rather an ordeal, also expensive since we had to then pay for hotel. We saw no shops or restaurants and other than by taxi we would have no way of getting about since we saw no bus stops. As the taxi driver was unable to find the property we can give no comment on that. I messaged the hosts twice but have had no reply so I look forward to hearing from you.

Owner's Response: These people clearly state that they did not stay at our property. We contacted them by email several times. The last time is below. It is indeed unfortunate that they are letting their anger at being misled by the taxi service to state untruths about our property. We have had many people stay at our property from other countries and none of them have ever had the problems that these people claim. terry george ----@--------.--- To ----@--------.--- Jun 8 at 7:09 PM We did receive your email and are perplexed. We are at the most 30 minutes from downtown and 35-40 minutes (29 miles) from the airport. You can verify that yourself by checking Google maps and mileage with the address. Our listing on VRBO clearly states that we are 30 minutes from downtown. We feel that perhaps your cab driver was taking advantage of your situation and mislead you. You might consider contacting the cab company. We have guests staying here quite often that use UBER or taxi service without issue. Perhaps if you had emailed or called we could have assisted you at that time and made sure that you arrived in a timely manner. This is the one of the busiest times of the year for us and we have more requests than we can reserve with our one cottage. We are sorry that you decided to not contact us at the time. We sent several emails to you before we heard back that you were not coming. We hope that you have enjoyed yourselves in Nashville and at the hotel that you chose to stay. Respectfully, Brenda and Terry George

Great place

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a weekend visit and before even getting here, the owners were extremely helpful since VRBO was having issues with it's payment system and they answered all questions I had in a quick manner. Once we arrived at the house, I was immediately disappointed that we wouldn't be spending more time at the house since we had plans in Nashville for most of the weekend. The time we did spend at the house was fabulous. It had a very pleasant smell and look as soon as you walked in. There was plenty of room for the three of us and while it was a little far from downtown Nashville, the drive was beautiful to get downtown and there was a Dollar General very close to the house for anything you needed even though the owners had everything you could need at the house already. We truly enjoyed our time at this house and will definitely rent from there again if we visit Nashville.

Great place, quiet neighborhood

Easy access to Nashville: Opry Mills, downtown, and other shopping areas. Amenities were just as stated. Quiet street, plenty of room to relax between sight-seeing trips.

Quiet house 30 minutes from downtown Nashville

  • 4 of 5

The house was very clean and very quiet. It was a little further from town than we thought it would be but that was actually a nice thing after all the noise and over stimulation from Broadway! The kitchen was stocked with every kind of cooking utensil which was nice for our breakfasts. The river view from the backyard was pretty but it would have been nice to have more outdoor chairs. We met lots of friendly fishermen!

Cute, clean and spacious

  • 4 of 5

We have rented a lot of cabins over the years and it's always hit or miss if the pictures tell a true story. We were very pleased with this cottage. Nicely equipped kitchen, spacious rooms, very peaceful out back with the river. Price was excellent and so very close to Nashville and Dickson. While we did not rent a boat, it is available very close and the Cumberland is a nice river for fishing. My husband caught quite a few from the shore behind the cabin. We visit the area often so I'm sure we will return.

Peaceful Home Away from Home!

  • 5 of 5

Extremely nice! Everything we needed was provided. The kitchen is well equipped. The bathrooms are clean. The bed is comfy. The a/c works well. And the drive to Nashville is pleasant . . . not that far. Well worth the drive to stay out in the country right next to the water inlet bank. Thanks, and we'll be back with a boat and an extra day added to fish. There are fishing opportunities all around the neighborhood!
