About Terry and/or Brenda George

My wife and I bought this property after living in the area for a number of years. In this picture we are relaxing in the air-conditioned sunroom. It is a beautiful area that is convenient to everything, yet has all the charms of country life.

We have completely refurbished the entire house to make it modern and comfortable. It has been a labor of love to see our home become a restful and comfortable place to return to.

Terry and/or Brenda George purchased this house in 2010

Why Terry and/or Brenda George chose Middle

We have lived in this area for a long time and feel that there is no better location to visit or live in.

A lovely alternative to hotel stays

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I stayed at Terry and Brenda's lovely creek side/riverside home in August while visiting Nashville. When we booked the trip it we were unsure whether our daughter would be traveling with us so we looked for a 2 bedroom property.

Some great advantages of renting a vacation property over a hotel. Having a washer ad dryer helped reduce the amount we had to pack. A full size fridge and kitchen allowed us to save on eating out and gave us healthier choices. If traveling wth teens you have room to separate.

Lakeside is a well kept 2 bedroom property 20-30 minutes west of Nashville, Ttn. We used it as a base to explore areas around and in Nashville. It's a bit far if you plan to only visit Nashville or enjoy the bars. It is an older home with some unique features due to settling over time. The bathrooms, kitchen and laundry are all well furnished and functional. There is WiFi provided on the property. It is adequate for browsing, but forget streaming. They have satellite TV with movie channels which allowed us to watch Gane of Thrones on Sunday. We didn't use the TVs otherwise. They're property does also have good cell service and 4g coverage for Verizon. A note for those of us that depend on mobile devices for purposes other than amusement.

The dock is a couple properties up from the house. We did try fishing from the banks and the dock but had no luck. A nice evening sitting with family by the water is never a waste!

Nice 2 br cottage right on the water. We brought the boat down from Maryland. Had its own dock. Enjoyed the boat ride to Nashville.

Nephew's 16th birthday trip

  • 5 of 5

We take each of our nieces and nephews on a trip of their choice for their 16th birthday. Our nephew picked Nashville. We really didn't want to stay in a hotel, so I found this house and it was perfect! We had our "side" of the house and his room was on the other side, with the kitchen/dining area in the middle. He loves to fish and when he saw you could practically cast from the bedroom he was so excited. The house was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Close enough to Nashville, but far enough away. We would hands down recommend this house to anyone that needed a place to stay. I think we may take Aunt and Uncle of the year for this trip.

Relaxing and peaceful place.

  • 5 of 5

This place is great if you don't want to be in the middle of the downtown traffic of Nashville. We are country folk and this was perfect for us. When we walked in it immediately felt like home. Dishes and silverware just where you'd expect them to be. Three tv's to satisfy everyone's taste in viewing. Nice refrigerator with water dispenser and cubed or crushed ice. A big microwave and an electric stove to meet all the cooking needs. Two full baths came in handy several times during our stay. They even have a washer and dryer so you don't have to pack dirty clothes for the trip home. The view of the water out the back was spectacular and the local fishermen were very friendly. Speaking of friendly, the owners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Highly recommended for a quiet and peaceful stay that's just about 20-30 minutes from downtown Nashville depending on your route. I read one of the reviews that said the cab driver couldn't find this place. I can say for sure that those people from out of the country were taken advantage of by an unprofessional cab driver. Easy to find if you can read a map or follow GPS. Great place and a great community.

Comfortable quiet location

  • 5 of 5

We came for a week to visit Nashville, but we ended up spending most of our time at the house. We enjoyed the games and outdoor things that were available. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was marvelous! There could be more dishes as we had to run the dishwasher after each meal so we could have enough for the next, but overall was a wonderful stay!
