This bright and airy single level end unit is the largest Nihi Kai condo (1808 sf under roof) with 20 foot open beam, fan cooled ceilings in every room. New remodeled kitchen completed Sept. 2014. One of the few Nihi Kai units adjacent to pool, BBQ ,tennis courts and paddleboard/pickleboard cports You will appreciate the lush tropical landscaping and breathtaking southside sunsets.

The expansive living/dining area opens to both the ocean and mountain lanais. Large sliding doors on the mountain side lanai facing into the tradewinds provide ventilation for both bedrooms and living/dining areas.

The master bedroom opens to the large ocean view lanai and the second bedroom opens to the mountain view lanai, both with private bath. Second bedroom has two twin beds that can be made into a king and is distanced from the master bedroom for privacy.

Located 50 yards from Turtle Cove, one block to Brennecke's body boarding beach and less than a 5 minute walk to Poipu Beach, famous for swimming, snorkeling, surfing plus a child friendly swimming cove and park. There are three restaurants within walking distance.

Enjoy spectacular sunsets, crashing surf, and view spinner dolphins and green turtles from your lanai.

What a location. Love everything about the Nihi Kai Villas but this locations is steps away from the pool, the BBQ's and the ocean! All the appliances--big and small and what a view! Really enjoyed it. Highly recommended!!

Absolutely Gorgeous

If you're heading to Kauai this is the place to stay, the apartment is lovely and airy with great views and only a short walk from the beach. The owners have just put in new bathrooms and flooring which make this place even better. Don was really helpful and communication with him was excellent. We would definitely recommend this property.

Great condo, wonderful location

We've stayed in several Nihi Kai condos over the years. This was one of the best.

Location: top floor ocean view yet close to pool and front of property. Much more convenient location than 800 building. Being a top floor, vaulted ceilings provided tons of space. Simple layout, great view from lanais.

Interior is in good shape. The kitchen has plenty of cooking gear and basic spices. It would benefit from more flatware and plates as we had to run the dishwasher frequently.

It was also great to have basic beach supplies.

The condo was an excellent place to stay. Fabulous view of the ocean and sunsets from the lanai. It is just a short walk from the beach and great restaurant, Brennake's. It is also well maintained and stocked with everything you need. Would highly recommend staying here.

Fantastic location, large condo!

This was our second time staying in this unit, and Don was great to work with. The location is the best in Nihi Kai - beautiful views, overlooking the pool, sunsets, easy stroll to beaches, nearby parking, etc. The condo is a very large 2BR, 2BA on a single floor, which we like better than the split level 2BR units. It is a corner unit on the top floor, so there are no problems with excessive noise from neighbors and the deck is larger than most. The kitchen has been renovated and conveniently includes many basic supplies. The BBQ area is very close to the unit and we used that for most dinners. There are a number of beach items in the closets - cooler, water shoes, noodles, beach towels, boogie boards, etc. The in-unit washer and dryer (with laundry soap) is a great way to "refresh" clothes mid-stay.

Excellent views of ocean; roomy; close to beaches; #420 is a "must rent property"

I spend a crazy amount of time researching. I was confident I knew just about everything I needed to know about #420, about the Nihi Kai complex in general, what building within Nihi Kai to rent from and what not to rent from (location to beach, views, breezes, etc). #420 was exactly what I hoped for and expected! And my family loved it.

The condo is huge. It's bigger than most if not all others in NKV because it's an end unit. As such, 3 of the 4 walls have windows and screen doors. Therefore, it has the maximum potential for getting trade-winds (esp. compared to "inside units"). The weather was a bit warm (1st two weeks of June). But the breezes kicked in everyday so it was all good. PLUS: the fans all have a couple of extra "high speeds", so we were always comfortable. For those who complain about ANY Nihi Kai condo being too hot - what do you expect because they do not have AC. If you don't want to risk it and need it cold guaranteed..........try somewhere that has AC rather than complain about the condo.

Also; for those who complain about #420 not being fully updated.........really? You are 1 minute walk from the beach and 3 minute walk from amazing snorkeling. Who cares if the sliders may not slide smoothly........I'm in Kauai just across from the beach, in a huge condo with amazing views, with my family and loving every minute of it. IF you want the most updated condo............go for it; but I'll take #420 over those other ones any day. A lot of updated condos have hardwood, tile etc and got rid of all carpet. We ended up loving the "comfort" of carpet.

My kids loved being seconds from great body boarding. (4 turtles were there every day). We snorkeled every day as well. TIP FOR SNORKELERS: Swim out past the crowds, past the waves and head left around the rocks. It is crystal clear out there, you have it all to yourself, you see way more variety of fish, etc. AMAZING.

Condo had bodyboards, beach chairs, beach towels, tennis rackets, etc. It was supplied with all the plates, utensils etc needed to cook, bbque etc in the nicely renovated kitchen. The BEACH VIEWS ARE AMAZING from the lanai, where we had breakfast every morning. Also, it's great having a swimming pool to jump in everyday as well. Kids played tennis a few times as well.

Don was a pleasure to work with; responded to all emails quickly and answered all our questions. Thanks so much Don - we can't wait to return.
