The perfect house for a getaway! Me and my friends stayed here and it was awesome!
The rooms were cozy, clean and lots of space! The porch, backyard, volley ball court and access to the water toys/ lake was what made it for us! Me and my friends loved it!!
Great place to make memories!
My family & I had a wonderful stay at the house. It was a perfect size for 7 adults & 2 children. The downstairs bedroom was great for the kids to be separated from the main area, while the adults stayed up. The house was clean & in a great location. One heads up would be knowing to bring toilet paper, tissues & paper towel. The toilet paper was surprising to me, but I can understand the others. We just bought some when we arrived. Also, the lake area was not as swimable as I would have hoped. It had lots of Lilly pads & muck nearby, however we took the boats out a ways to a sand bar area that was really nice. Overall, I would recommend this place to another family.
The house was nice but the lake was very mucky once you are past the dock.
We enjoyed the house very much. We enjoy swimming and found this not possible at the dock because it is very shallow and deep muck past the dock. We did enjoy paddling around on the canoe and found the lake to be very nice once you are away from the lily pads.
We would also prefer a gas grill as waiting for charcoal we on vacation is not fun along with cleaning the ash every time.
Other then that we had a good time at sleeping bear and the winery's were amazing. (the black star was our favorite)
Beautiful home and well appointed. Had a wonderful time on the lake. Loved relaxing on the wrap around porch.
Clean. Comfortable. Great location. Fabulous porch. Sand VB court. Great dock. Paddle boat. Kayaks.
Very enjoyable. Sleeping and bathing availability on the ground level allowed us to bring together 4 generations of the family. The porch provides a peaceful respite and a ideal spot to watch active children playing in the sand or in the lake. The hot tub got plenty of use. Having a dock allowed us a place to moor our rented pontoon boat. The kayaks, canoe, and the paddle boat got plenty of use.
My only wish was that there was a gas grill. When trying to prepare a meal for a large group, I find a charcoal grill much more difficult to use. Your comment about "safety" concerns with a gas grill seems, to me, to be a very lame excuse. Create a small patio (cement or patio block) just large enough for the footprint of the grill, place it 30 feet from the porch, and that distance should allay concerns about safety.
A GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!
Fun & relaxation!
Three generations just enjoyed a weeks stay at this beautiful home. We stayed with our daughter, sin-in-law, 2 year old & 10 month old granddaughters & our youngest daughter. We enjoyed the large living space, bedrooms were roomy enough for all. My husband enjoyed showing our 2 year old granddaughter the art of fishing. She was casting & reeling in her little sun fish. Grandpa says she's a born natural. Enjoyed the nice kitchen as it gets old having to eat out day after day. Lots of room inside for the baby to crawl about. Nice spacious deck out back. Hubby enjoyed his meals out there. A couple of us took advantage of the hot tub a few times. The pontoon paddle boat was fun for those choosing to use it. The two year old enjoyed walking in the water. Very shallow, making it great for little kids to splash & play. Saw a lot of wildlife: turtles, frogs, snakes, rabbits, ducks, geese, woodpeckers and the biggest crows I've ever seen. An all around good time for all ages.
