With a deep love for all Oregon has to offer, I have owned and operated Wine Country Farm B & B and Winery for over 20 years in the beautiful Willamette Valley. In 1986, I had the opportunity to purchase this Beach Front property, then lovingly built what is now Seal Rock Beach House! A lovely place to spend a week or even just a weekend, this property is a perfect example of the pristine Oregon Coastline. Close to many restaurants, shops and galleries yet blissfully serene, I do hope you will enjoy your experience in this fine location.
Sherri Harkness purchased this house in 1986
This incredible property with its unending views and modern layout, simply could not be beat! After falling in love with the location, I built this custom home in 1986. A gorgeous setting amongst monoliths, a creek, tide pools and migrating whales, this home truly embodies coastal living at its finest!
A unique home where peace and beauty abound. Enjoy splendid sunsets in the evening and morning walks on the beach. Tide pools are abundant for exploring, shells are there for the searching and if you're lucky, you might even eye whales just off the shore!
Beautiful and very comfortable home with stunning views of the ocean!
Close enough to the ocean that an open window allows you to hear the waves crashing against the rocks below.
With the main bedrooms on the ground floor and the living areas upstairs - you don't have to worry about disturbing anyone who is trying to sleep.
The trail to the beach is well maintained and relatively short, though some of the larger rock steps might be challenging for toddlers or older folk - I had tons of fun running up and down the trail to the beach! When the tides aren't high you can walk north for miles and miles!
Seal Rock State Park was a 2 minute walk south down the highway for even more beach enjoyment (though 'our' beach was not accessible from any nearby public access...yay!). A Coffee & Pastry stand, restaurant, and several gift shops were also within easy walking distance.
The home itself had everything we could possibly need and I look forward to return visits each season!
We rented this home for the Christmas weekend with our daughter and son-in-law. We loved it. The views are amazing, the wood stove made the evenings very cozy and the home had everything we needed. The trail to the beach was a little challenging for my arthritic knees but I couldn't let that stop me. We had wonderful weather, wouldn't have minded a good storm though, but even without a storm the waves crashing on those big rocks is amazing! We found some agates and a few other treasures on the beach and walked for miles. Already thinking about doing this again next year. Thank you so much!!
Our daughter is attending university nearby so we headed to the coast instead of bringing her all the way home for the short holiday. We brought Grandpa & Grandma along too and every member of the family absolutely loved the house. Our teenage son is ready to sell the farm in Idaho and move in permanently.
The weather was very stormy but we had the perfect front row seat to watch the waves crash, the lightening flash and the rain pour.
The kitchen was well stocked and perfect for cooking our Thanksgiving seafood feast.
If one were ever to tire of the view and exploring the beach, the other amenities like shops across the hwy, internet, games and satellite TV provide endless things to do.
Thanks for a great family holiday. We look forward to another opportunity to come back!
This is the most beautiful home we have stayed in over the last decade. The decor is lovely; the living area color scheme enhanced the panoramic view of the coastline and ocean. The wood stove and supplied firewood were top notch. It was also great to have the laundry available.
Our booking request was last-minute and unusual, and the owners were flexible and gracious.
We are extremely grateful for the time we spent at this Seal Rock property.
Very impressed with the house and the wonderful views of the ocean. The trail to the beach is a little tricky but adds an adventurous spirit. I only wish their would have been a little larger charcoal grill available for use. For being situated so close to the highway you still get a feeling of seclusion. I would not hesitate to rent again in the future.
The B&B is lovely and the views of the vineyard are spectacular. Grace created the best breakfast we have ever had at a B&B. It was delicious. We greatly enjoyed are short visit and would definitely return.
