We are semi-retired and spend our time in Miami, San Francisco and the Highlands.
Edy Malek purchased this cabin in 2007
Highlands is the perfect location for outdoor activities such as hiking as well as upscale mountain living where we can enjoy fine restaurants, shopping and a relaxed lifestyle.
The property was exactly as advertised and suited all my needs. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future.
Thank you for sharing your homes with us. We enjoyed ourselves and had a very memorable Thanksgiving holiday there. It was very peaceful and relaxing. We encountered a couple of problems with the Camp Alexander cabin, but left a note for the cleaning people about them. The electrical plugs on both sides of the stove were bad and there was a leak under the kitchen sink. The plug on the left side of the stove caused the coffee pot wire to burn. Thankful I was standing beside it when it happened, so there was no damage. I bought a new coffee pot and left it there for you and also purchased one for the Honeymoon cabin, because there was only a small one there. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at your cabins and have already recommended them to someone.
Again, thank you for the use of your cabins. They were very clean and well stocked. You might want to invest in a small mixer, since I needed one and didn't have one there.
Enjoyed the stay. Great view from the deck. Cabin was clean. More remote than was anticipated. Only 10 miles from Highlands but still took 30 minutes to get there. Great place if you want to get away.
My boyfriend, my daughter, and I, along with my boyfriend's mother and brother (5 total) all stayed in this lovely cabin. There was plenty of room and plenty of privacy. The cabin was immaculate and in a beautiful location. The views from the balcony were even prettier than the pictures. We loved the location and the creek that you cross over on the drive up to the cabin. The cabin was close to beautiful scenic waterfalls. We would definitely stay there again!
We were blessed with 3 nights and 4 days and it was a great spot for our grown daughters with their husbands to be with us.
We had 3 seperate bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths that gave us all plenty of privacy and space. We enjoyed the deck and the
beautiful views. We had fun taking walks down the gravel road and exploring a creek/park area and seeing a beautiful waterfall. There
was even a little vegetable stand down the road that we called "our grocery." It took us about 1/2 hour each time to drive into downtown Highlands. It is only about 10 miles but the roads are quite winding. We would stay here again as it was well priced and a great place for our family to relax and enjoy one another.
We had a great family reunion at this wonderful cabin. We enjoyed the beautiful views and the beauty of nature around us, were able to make home cooked meals in the spacious kitchen, went hiking and took the young ones whiewater rafting. It was an easy ride into town to enjoy the great shops and restaurants. It was a joy being here as a family enjoying each other's company in this great home. This is our second time renting from this owner and as always, Edy was gracious and helpful with our requests. Wish we could have stayed one more week...
