The view out the back porch is gorgeous. The kitchen is fairly well equipped, but certainly nothing extra. The beds were comfortable, but a little freaky because we had found so many bugs when we arrived. We were disappointed in the cleaning. It is a very high cleaning fee for a small property and the bathtub was very dirty with a dark ring, there were probably 10 large crickets throughout--a couple already dead lying around. The back porch was not clean at all. Also, the shower in the downstairs bathroom didn't work--water just barely trickled out--so we only had one shower. We never got the Internet to work at all. If the place had been value priced, we would understood, but it is priced like many of the nice places and it is not. Did not deliver on what was described.
Beautiful views, clean and very spacious.
This property was extremely clean and larger than we expected. The owners were nice and very helpful. Everything was in working order and the best part were the gorgeous mountain views and afternoon sunsets. We highly recommend this property. It was a great experience for our family!
False impresssions from photos and did not have all listed aminities
Upon arriving (2 1/2 hours after check-in time) the house had not been cleaned. The house keeper did show up not long after we arrived. There are two bathrooms in the house, however the downstairs bathrooms water pressure was so low, that everyone had to go upstairs in order to take a shower. Rendering the second bathroom basically useless. The house was supposed to have directv and wifi, neither of which worked (I could not find a router anywhere in the house). The TV was plugged into an outlet that was literally attached to the wall with packaging tape. Every plastic chair on the back porch was broken. And on top of it all the maid did not leave enough towels (she left 4 towels of each size, for a house that sleeps 7). These issues could be because the house is up for sale by the owner, and they are trying to save money. The owner did contact me but they live in Miami so could not help me at all, other then to apologize to me. The photos online are not up to date, by years is seems. Needless to say, we did not stay in the house that we paid for and would not recomond this house. Unfortunatley, this is a large house and has the potential to be a great place to stay.
Very nice secluded location with a nice view.
The property was exactly as advertised and suited all my needs. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future.
The scenery was beautiful.
Thank you for sharing your homes with us. We enjoyed ourselves and had a very memorable Thanksgiving holiday there. It was very peaceful and relaxing. We encountered a couple of problems with the Camp Alexander cabin, but left a note for the cleaning people about them. The electrical plugs on both sides of the stove were bad and there was a leak under the kitchen sink. The plug on the left side of the stove caused the coffee pot wire to burn. Thankful I was standing beside it when it happened, so there was no damage. I bought a new coffee pot and left it there for you and also purchased one for the Honeymoon cabin, because there was only a small one there. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at your cabins and have already recommended them to someone.
Again, thank you for the use of your cabins. They were very clean and well stocked. You might want to invest in a small mixer, since I needed one and didn't have one there.
Remote mountain cabin
Enjoyed the stay. Great view from the deck. Cabin was clean. More remote than was anticipated. Only 10 miles from Highlands but still took 30 minutes to get there. Great place if you want to get away.
