Great Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We only stayed for a handful of days, but it was a great place. Plenty of space in the kitchen and living areas, which was very nice compared to other places I've stayed. This house also has very nice amenities. We took the pedal boat and kayaks out for a bit on the lake and had a blast. If I need a break from it all again, I will definitely look for this place first.

Great weekend for friends and family

  • 5 of 5

This property was perfect for our combined bachelor/bachelorette party! There was plenty of room for everyone and we had everything we needed. It was an awesome mini vacation. The house was very clean and the backyard was perfect for sitting outside and enjoying ourselves. Everyone had an awesome time. Thanks Mike and Tia!

Comfortable, clean lake home ~ lake access, nice deck

  • 5 of 5

The lake home comfortably slept our group of 10. House is clean and modernly decorated. Biggest draw was the lake access with small sand bar, paddle boat and 2 kayaks. Kids played all day outside on water and in sand. Adults enjoyed the spacious deck with outdoor seating and tables. House is set up nicely for families with young kids. Kitchen is stocked with ample cooking necessities.

Feels private but is close to grocery stores and restaurants. Owners were very responsive to our needs during our stay and were easy to work with. Highly recommend!

Wonderful stay!

  • 4 of 5

I decided at the last minute (less than 2 weeks) to visit family in Michigan for a long weekend vacation. This property was available and I booked it because of the good reviews it received. My family and I had a great time. Tia was very responsive and accommodating, and we had a fun, relaxing stay.

The home has a beautiful view of the lake; having 3 decks was nice also because we had a couple of children with us and two kids from my family visiting so they were able to play in the yard and on the lower deck while the adults were barbequing, playing cards, and relaxing on the mid-deck. It was certainly a plus to have a paddle boat and two kayaks included--we used them several times each day during our 5-day stay. We also had bonfires each night, roasting marshmallows and watching the fireflies.

The home is equipped with lots of nice-to-have items also, such as puzzles, games, and a high chair and bassinet for my 7-month old nephew, and extra floaties which my 3-year old and visiting family used. We didn't swim in the water near the home dock (too much debris and algae) but we paddle-boated/kayaked out to the center of the lake to swim and play in the water. We had a great time.

Family Reunion/Wedding Vacation

  • 4 of 5

Our family needed a place to stay for our vacation while enjoying my son's wedding. We found our home away from home in this lakefront home. We enjoyed our stay. Another bathroom would have been nice and it would seem Tia and Mike are in the process of putting a third bathroom in. The broken water pipe the day before we left was fixed within a few hours. Very quick response to an unusual emergency.

We loved it!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We came from Hawaii to vacation here and we were happy with virtually everything. The house is very charming right from the start because Tia and Mike left us a welcome card and a bottle of wine! We appreciated their hospitality and communication all the way along. The spacious kitchen was great for entertaining our family that lives in the area. (Seems everyone always migrates to the kitchen) The master bedroom is very, very spacious and overlooks the lake. The other homes around here are also very nice as we look at our lake view. The other bedrooms are also very nice and plenty spacious. The living area was very big with nice wide open views of the lake. We loved the knotty pine walls. Even though we were there in March, Mike brought the canoes and paddle-boat over for us to use. We loved going out on the lake even though we had to wear jackets. The sun warmed us up and the lake is very clean. We had a bonfire in the fire ring in the back yard one night. The properties are all on well water but that was not an issue for us. Here are some of the activities we did: Snow skiing at Caberfae Peaks (3 hours north), Detroit Zoo, Ice skating, Mission Science Center, IMAX theater, SkyZone trampoline park in Brighton, Zap Zone (laser tag etc.) in Farmington, Yates Cider Mill (even though it wasn't apple season they were still open), Franklin Cider mill (Fall only) and Greektown in Detroit. We will stay here again when we come back to visit our family. As we say in Hawaii, 'Mahalo' (thank you) Tia and Mike.
