Overview

About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 6)

If you want to be in Paia, or minutes to Ho'okipa or Sprecklesville, you'll like this location. This is the relaxed, non-touristy Hawaiian experience. Plus, Paia is the north shore hub for all sports wind and wave. And, Paia is a walk-able town.

The north shore has no high rise buildings and is the antithesis of the 'resort' experience. Rather, here locals and visitors intermingle, the waves are world-class, and there's plenty of open space. Paia has galleries, restaurants, funky shopping and a wonderful natural foods grocery store called Mana Foods. It's a pretty laid back place.

Another nice thing about Paia and Paia House is that it's centrally located. When one comes to Maui, they want the beach - there's plenty of that here. But, people also want to drive the road to Hana, see the top of Haleakala (at 10,000 ft above sea level), and check out the other parts of the island. This is perfect hub.

Paia House is located in a neighborhood. There's a peek-a-boo view to the ocean. The walk to Paia town is about four minutes. There are neighborhood sounds: people, children, dogs, and a school bus that comes through during the school year.

Further Details: Two bedrooms have air conditioning. Out back is a covered lanai. Here's where you may store gear, dry it out, work out kite line tangles, do yoga, have a bbq, and kids may play. There's a yard, picnic table, hammock, fruit trees, flowers, chairs, and some beach gear we leave for guests (snorkels, masks, some boogie boards, beach chairs, a cooler, etc.)

Also, as is very Hawaiian style, the washer/dryer is outside. This keeps the heat outside too. And, if you prefer to dry things in the sun, there's a clothesline.

We also generate electricity with the photovoltaic (PV) solar panels located on the roof.

Rooms are not huge, but there's plenty of space and a ceiling fan in each.

There's a carport for two cars.

This is a well appointed plantation-style home that's perfectly situated for a relaxing north shore vacation.

About Trintiy Villa Rentals

We are transplants from Aspen, Colorado but have lived in Maui since 2005.

We're avid surfers, tennis players and kitesurfers.

We came to Maui as a get-away but decided it was too hard to leave. It's a freak of nature and we love the lifestyle on the north shore.

Why Trintiy Villa Rentals chose East Maui

We bought in this location because we'd been spoiled in Aspen by always either walking or biking to work and play. This place affords guests a similar lifestyle. You can't ditch the car completely, however, because there's no bus system to all the corners of the island. And, though buses can carry skis fairly easily, surf and kite gear can be a tougher challenge...

Guestbook comments from the owner

Perfect little house walking distance from Paia and close to everything on the north shore. I came with my daughter and friends for kitesurfing and it was perfect. Quiet, clean and just the right size for 2 or 6 people. Bbq, washer dryer, big backyard with nice flowers and lime trees, beach stuff, everything you need. I highly recommend it! p.s. dont miss the fresh baked scones at mana food market.. yum yum!

Thanks Greg!

We really enjoyed our home away in Paia!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four really enjoyed our stay at a Trinity Villa Rental home in Paia, Maui.

Magen was very welcoming and very attentive to our needs. We highly recommend staying at this home which is within walking distance to beautiful beaches, great restaurants, shops and art galleries. We are already planning a return trip!

Great location, well appointed, comfortable, home

  • 5 of 5

I stayed her with my husband, 4-year-old son, brother and sister-in-law and their 8-year-old son. We chose this home for its location, price, and bedroom arrangement. The place was perfect for us! We felt we got exactly what we expected and wanted. Paia is a cute town with lots of restaurants, coffee available as early as 530am, grocery store, ice cream and shave ice, and gift shops. Local beaches are great - our favourite here was the one nearest the youth centre. With a car available, if it was cloudy/windy/rainy on the north shore, the south shore beaches were a quick drive away and usually promised warmer sunny skies. Lots to do and see. A great playground for the kids ~10 drive away. Our favorite restaurant was the Hali'imaile General Store.

The house itself was well accessorized, clean, modern, convenient... perfect. Small kitchen but well stocked with cooking needs and dishwasher. Clean BBQ. Laundry. Towels, beach towels, bed linens supplied. Two bathrooms with showers. Two of the three bedrooms have local AC units - so a third in the last bedroom would be beneficial for the hotter nights. Beds comfy!

Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for this type of place ie not a "luxury hotel" but a comfortable place to call home for your holiday!

Fantastic Location - Ideal North Shore House

  • 5 of 5

This is our 3rd time staying in Paia House; it's perfect for us! The interior space is large and cool for meals should you want to cook, but even better is walking into Paia for one of its many many delicious restaurants. There isn't a lot of parking in Paia, so the ability to walk into town makes this spot ideal. You're in a quiet neighborhood with an amazing back-yard for lounging in the shade, doing an outdoor meal, or washing and drying beach and wind sports gear. Greg couldn't be easier to work with to set up, check in and out and everything is always ready, clean, and our favourite home away from home when we're in Maui. We come 2-3 times a year for a week or more of wind sports; always staying on the north shore and Paia House is our first pick - but Greg and team have plenty of others available if someone has already booked Paia House for our dates. Thanks for another amazing week in Maui/Paia!

Such a fun stay at Paia house!

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Paia house. The home exceeded our expectations and the backyard was magical. Our intention was to stay in a neighborhood home to have more of a local experience and Paia house allowed us to do that. Would definitely stay there again.

Perfect Beach House in Maui

  • 5 of 5

We loved our week stay in the Pa'ia house. It was very well equipped, tidy and organized and a great location. Our family of 6 felt comfortable and made use of the pretty garden. Greg and Magen answered any questions we had and really took the time to ensure we had a great week!
