Overview

About the property

5+ Bedrooms, 3 Full Bathrooms, Sleeps 10

This is a beautiful waterfront home on Lake Keowee. This home was featured in the December 2012 Upstate Lake Living Magazine. The home was finished the summer of 2010 with top of the line appliances, marble counter-tops and all the latest upgrades. The home has 4 bedrooms with king beds, 1 bedroom has two queens and there's also a private alcove with twin bunk beds for extra kids. On the main floor we have two large fireplaces. The fireplace on the deck is a wood burning fireplace. On the patio we have a fire-pit which is perfect for toasting marshmallows!

The home is located on the southern end of lake Keowee in an upscale neighborhood consisting of million dollar homes. This neighborhood consists of just 26 properties and is surrounded by 32 acres of conservatory land owned by the neighborhood.

At the lake, we have an over-sized covered dock and deep water (15+ feet) all year long. The boat dock bay is open so you can put your boat in the dock. On the shore we also have a large 10x20ft deck area that remains shaded most of the day. For fun we have two kayaks, a Foosball table, a ping pong table, 50' large screen TV and plenty of board games and books to read. We recently added a 2nd 51' TV above the fireplace in the main family room.

Things to do within 5 minutes of the house: Miniature golf, go cart racing, batting cages, spa treatments, antiquing, and ice cream

Things to do within 10 minutes: Medical facilities in downtown Seneca and at least 20 great restaurants including; Italian, Japanese, Greek, Mexican, Steakhouses, Barbeque and Pizza.

At least three great antique malls, flea markets and 3 shopping centers.

Golfing at your choice of three local country clubs.

Clemson offers additional shopping, eating and recreational opportunities.

Things to do within 30 minutes: Heading north and/or west will bring you into the wilderness of the Appalachian mountain area which offers a wide range of recreational activities including hiking, waterfalls, fly fishing, rafting and kayaking on the Chattooga river, apple picking, zip lines, horseback riding and many more activities. One of our favorites is stumphouse tunnel up on rte 107.

About Lake Keowee Properties, LLC

I'm a native New Yorker who moved to Atlanta in 1996.

Lake Keowee Properties, LLC purchased this house in 2005

Why Lake Keowee Properties, LLC chose Lake Keowee

We've been coming to Lake Keowee since we discovered it back in 2003. In 2005 we bought this land, added a boat dock, some water toys and made plans for our future home.It took longer than we anticipated but finally in 2010 our dream came true and we finally finished our beautiful home.

What makes this house unique

Quite exclusive neighborhood, yet close to town and all the local amenities and activities! Beautiful clear deep water.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We had a perfect week here at the lake. Your home was just the right size for our family and friends. Each room is beautifully decorated and is so comfortable.

Thank you for opening your home to guests. We all greatly appreciate it! Hope to be back very soon!

Beautiful home! Amazing layout, quality furnishings, lovely screened in porch!

  • 5 of 5

We came back to Lynne's home for a second time. The layout is fantastic for spending time with larger families. I love the down stairs layout. Lots of room for teenagers to hang out in their own space.

Beautiful views of the lake. This home is one of the best modern and updated rentals on the lake.

beautiful and comfortable home

  • 5 of 5

The home was lovely and Lynn was approachable and accommodating. She was very willing to work with any concern.

There are a lot of stairs down to the dock but the way they're laid out makes them easy to travel on. It's really not bad at all. The fire pit was s great feature for s'mores with the grandkids. Lovely patio area to play, talk, lookout over the lake. The screened in porch had a wonderful view and was fun to play games on. We enjoyed watching a rain storm there too. The kitchen was great to work in and plenty of places to eat. Beds were comfortable.

The main issues I found with the house is not enough bathrooms for the number of bedrooms on lower level. A 2nd frig is really needed just to have enough ice and cold drinks and freezer storage. Also, beach towels are not provided but should be part of linens

The home location is very convenient. This is definitely a great home to rent overall.

Beautiful Lake Home

  • 5 of 5

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house on the lake.

We enjoyed being together as a family. The owners were very responsive

to all our needs and comments.

The only negative was the spotty WI-Fi. If you think that you will be able to work from here..No but remember this is vacation time.

We will go back hopefully next year 2018.

The Best Place To Stay on Lake Keowee

  • 5 of 5

As every review of this beautiful home states, this really is the best you would ever find in a Lake vacation rental. Everything is decorated to perfection, the kitchen has anything you would need to prepare meals and enjoy the view while you do so, the screened porch with fireplace has so much room for all to spread out and enjoy that gorgeous lake view, the bathrooms are all top of the line, and everything feels so open and new. We loved the fire pit enjoying a glass of wine, my husband used the kayak, and we hope to return and rent a pontoon boat and swim as the dock area is wonderful. Lynn was wonderful to work with and you can tell they truly take pride in their home and care about your stay no matter how many nights you are there. We were only two people but the set up of the home is perfect for a family gathering and we can see why it is booked so often! There are plenty of places to rent on the lake, but we appreciated the convenience of restaurants and stores nearby which is not the case everywhere. As others have said, the only negative about this home is having to leave!!

Beautiful Lake Front Home!

  • 5 of 5

This is not the first time that we've stayed at Lynn’s house. Every time we visit the house is in beautiful condition. Lynn is extremely nice and accommodating to work with. Any concern, or questions that we have she was able to answer quickly and informatively to ensure that we had a wonderful trip! One way to describe the house is absolutely AMAZING!!! The house is perfect for any age. You can always find something to do! From relaxing on the screened porch, to finding a quiet nook to read a book! There are board games to play, and the fully stocked gourmet kitchen is great for foodies (-: We also love the grill area, it has an endless propane tank which makes it nice to know that you'll never run out! The extra large flat screen TV's have channels to suit everyone (including all of the sports networks which we enjoy), oh and of course, the beautiful, pristine lake, it's gorgeous! In regards to sleeping arrangements, everything was there. We had a few kids that were able to sleep on the bunks which also work perfectly. Most of the bedrooms have king sized beds that are super comfy. Our favorite part about staying at Lynn's house is being able to all be in the same room and just enjoy our time together with the beautiful scenery of Lake Keowee! Fortunately for us, the weather was also warm enough to enjoy sitting down at the oversized dock and pier areas. I will definitely be making another return trip to this house!

Pretty Lakefront House with Great Outdoor Living Space

  • 4 of 5

I agree with all the other reviews; this house is lovely and the owners are very nice. The outdoor living space is wonderful. The only drawback we found was the number of bathrooms versus bedrooms. The main level has a master suite with a very large bathroom. There is also a king bedroom on the main floor with a very small detached bathroom that also serves as the bathroom for the entire main level (there is no half bath). Downstairs is even more challenging. There are 2 king bedrooms, a bunk bed alcove and a room with 2 queen beds. All of these bedrooms shared a small bathroom. Similar to upstairs, there is no half bath downstairs. Anyone enjoying the downstairs TV and gaming area had to use one bathroom also shared by four bedrooms. As lovely as the house is, we found the bedroom to bathroom ratio odd and a little challenging.
