Desert Retreat

Although we picked an extremely hot month to visit California, we needed the time off. Enjoyed this rental for two reasons: it was more modern looking than the others we had seen on that street and it was right on the golf course. We really enjoyed being right on the 7th golf hole. The views were amazing from the kitchen, the living room and the patio. I wouldn't change anything about our trip except for picking a cooler time to vacation.

Snowbird Retreat

We are so impressed with this property. It's remodeled and doesn't look like another one we rented on the same street. Property was clean. We were surprised by the owners with a gift upon checking in ... A great bottle of wine and card to celebrate the holiday. We were truly impressed with this rental.

Great Golf Hideaway

Loved this little golf retreat. First time we stayed in Mission Hills. Loved that it was right on the golf course. Home is very modern and clean. Although our vacation was short, I'd love to come back here again. We felt bad we broke some plates while being clumsy, but owners were beyond understanding. They were very quick to respond to us and treated us well.

Not bad but many annoying problems

We did not have a very good first week in this condo. There was some confusion at the gate and it took some time to gain entry. Upon getting into the condo we were horrified at how dirty it was. Dead bugs al over the place, dirty floors and bathrooms not cleaned to our satisfaction. The dishwasher did not work for the first week, there was no hot water in the kitchen (this was true for the entire visit--we heated water on the stove for hand washing dishes).

The ad says cooks kitchen---not true--the kitchen was nearly void of cooking tools--no spatula, no measuring cup or spoons, no toaster, cheap flimsy frying pan, only 3 glasses, no mixing bowls, no colander etc etc.. To the owners credit after we complained a couple of times they gave us a hundred dollars to buy kitchen supplies and did take care of the dishwasher (although in my opinion it needs to be replaced).

The garage was full of stuff. There was room enough for my car but barely. The golf cart was parked at an angle which added to the difficulty of getting in and out of the garage if someone was parked in the ajoining condo's driveway. We were not given a key to the golf cart and frankly were under the understanding that we were not to use it although after we left the owner called us to ask us what we had done with the key. Seemed confused when we told her there was no key and that we were under the impression we were not to use the cart.

The owner did reduce our cleaning fee and promptly returned our security deposit.

Overall the condo is fine and with a little more effort and organization the problems mentioned could be corrected. The view of the golf course is great, the grill is fine and the master beadroom bed is great.

the weather was pretty near perfect and sitting on the patio was one of my favorite things to do.
