Perfect Beach Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This studio was perfect for what we wanted, which was a place to stay that would allow us easy beach access and to easily get around the North Shore. We were steps from Sunset Beach. There is an amazing bakery across the street for easy breakfast, and food trucks just a short drive down the road. Haleiwa town was a 15 minute drive down the road.

We thought this was the perfect location and a great value. Thank you!

Great Place Stay

  • 5 of 5

Great place to stay for a few quiet days on the North Shore. Having the bikes available to cruise along the coast was a real highlight.

Location was exactly as advertised.

  • 4 of 5

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the owner (Ben) was helpful and courteous. For what we wanted, it worked out perfectly. When I booked, I did not realize a few things. It’s attached to the main house and there is no air conditioning so the windows need to be open for ventilation. That made it a little less private than I would have desired. Also, cooking facilities are limited to a hot plate and electric skillet. We didn’t intend to do much cooking and only stayed three days so that was not a huge issue. On the positive side, there is private secure parking and the yard in front of the unit has a privacy fence so there is a level of separation from the main house. Location is amazing and Ted’s Bakery is a short walk and is a great little local place that serves much more than just baked goods. We ended up eating breakfast there two days. Would book again due to location and the helpfulness of the owner.

Perfect studio for a quiet get away

  • 5 of 5

The studio was just what we needed. Two blocks from the beach, a little kitchenette and close by to the wedding we were attending at turtle bay. Our host Ben was great. Highly recommend this studio if your looking for a quiet get away on the North Shore.

Good

  • 4 of 5

The location was excellent. The owners were very nice and accomodating. My only complaint is that there is no air conditioning and it is hot in the summer.

Perfect for a couple!

  • 4 of 5

My wife and I stayed two nights here while we were in Hawai'i for a wedding. The wedding was on the North Shore so this location made it very convenient for us.

Overall the place was great for a couple looking for a place to relax in the evening after spending the day exploring the island. The interior setup is spacious and everything is located perfectly so you can just hangout and eat while watching a movie or watch a movie from the couch or even from the bed.

The beach cruisers that came with the place weren't the nicest but they worked and we didn't have to worry about someone stealing two nice bikes. The house is right next to the bike path that runs along Sunset all the way to Pupukea. It's around 4 miles long. We had a blast biking it! We could pick any section of beach we wanted to enjoy and take the bikes right to the water! My only complaint was the duct tape for the handle grips. That would be a cheap fix.

We didn't use the grill but it was right there next to the house.

It has a nice private fenced-in yard where you could just hang out but with just my wife and I we didn't really have any use for it. Made a nice buffer between us and the road though. Complete privacy from passerbys.

Ted's Bakery is just right across the street! They have amazing food there freshly baked from morning to night! I highly recommend!

The driveway parking was a little tight but the owners move their vehicles to the side to accommodate so we fit our compact in there fine. I wouldn't recommend parking anything bigger than a compact though. There was a garage door opener that came with the place so you could easily open the gate to the property without getting out each time. Very convenient!

My only complaint overall was the lack of trade winds at night because the guest house is located on the leeward side of the main house, consequently blocking the winds. It made for some warm evenings but it cooled off in the middle of the night and there's ceiling fan and floor fan to help keep the air moving inside.

I'd definitely stay here again.
