Nice and peacefull quiet and relaxing!

  • 4 of 5

The cottage is rustic which is nice.Over all the cottage needs some money put back into it.Needs new furniture in living room very old and uncomfortable.T.V. is very small and matresses in bedrooms need replacing. They need to furnish sheets and really really need new pillows! I think if i owned it i would really consider putting some money into fixing the place up!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the feedback. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Yes its rustic, really kind of a period piece having been built in 1968 and not upgraded much since. Its just a classic old New England camp and a great place to relax. I happen to like the furniture and think it fits the overall decor but to each his own. Not sure where you would put a bigger TV, but then I never watch TV anyhow. I will replace the pillows for next season. I am not a business, just a guy with a place that has to earn its own keep. If I had more money I would fix it up more but then I would have to increase my fees. People of modest means deserve a nice vacation spot too. I try and do something to upgrade it every year. This year I added wi-fi and a new grill. Last year a new refrigerator and a pair of kayaks, before that a new kitchen stove & picnic table, etc. Next year I am hoping to replace the wiring so I can put in electric heat to supplement the fireplace. I do all the work myself though I have a full time regular job. I also have multiple kids in college so my time and $$ is limited.

So Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

My husband needed a place to just get away for awhile and I can tell you this just hit the spot. It was quiet and peaceful and very comfortable. We enjoyed our time in the canoe and sitting on the deck watching the sunset over the water. We will definitely be asking to rent this adorable cabin again! Mike & Jeanine

Great Spot ~~

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful time on Crystal Lake. The cottage was the perfect size and porch not only offered safe little spot for younger children (completely fenced) but it gave us a nice break after being out in the sun all day. I hosted my son's rehearsal dinner we had plenty of space for all who attended, games on the beach and nice fire in the evening. I will be returning to this lovely location. Amanda

our small cozy cabin getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for our first anniversary. We had an amazing time. Nice cozy cabin, with a beautiful fire pit inside (we took advantage of that every night!) The TV only had about 4 channels, none that interested us and no Wi-Fi. We loved that, it really made for some good old fashion talking! We took the canoe out rode around the whole lake, it was gorgeous, we had amazing weather for this time of year we were able to swim out to the swimming platform and lay out. We will for sure be back.
