Cottage, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-8)
Why Aleda chose Lake Linden
My parents bought the property in the later 1960's and the first buildings constructed were the outhouse and sauna. Our family enjoyed camping in the summers. In the early 1970's my dad, along with help from my mother and us kids, built the cottage and then the garage. Over the years many family members and friends have enjoyed the cottage, the fabulous beach, and all the different views of Lake Superior which can go from total calmness to big waves crashing on the beach. It is our hope that our rental guests enjoy the cottage and the property as much as we do.

Everyone enjoyed their stay! We rented the cottage to attend a wedding and take in the beautiful Fall colors. The cottage, which was obviously well cared for, was clean, spacious, comfortable and relaxing. Plenty of room for our mix of adults and children. It was well stocked with towels and other supplies. The added loft area with additional twin mattresses to sleep on were ideal for us. Beautiful Lake Superior and nice sandy beach, with the sound of waves washing ashore to lull you to sleep at night. The sauna and gas fireplace were appreciated! The children loved playing with the toys and walking on the beach. Would love to stay again sometime!
Thank you for your stay. I find that going to the cottage and looking out over the beach and Lake Superior takes the stresses away. I'm glad to share that sense of relaxation with our guests!

Hard to beat the view out the window. The owners kindly helped us with a family communication issue when we realized that we had no cell phone service (land line to the rescue). In the end, it was a great reminder that we can do without all the 'connectivity' in our lives, especially when visiting the beauty of the Keweenaw peninsula. If you are in need of a bit of restoration- stay here.
Thank you! It was our pleasure to be able to help with the family communication issue!
Super clean, comfy cabin.
We loved everything about our stay. Aleda and her husband were there to greet us and show us around. Great location. Immaculately clean cabin. Beautiful beach. Lots of memories made. We will be back!
Reliving old memories and making new memories with 3 generations---that's what family is all about!!! Thank you for your stay. We look forward to seeing you again!
A little piece of heaven✨💫🌈
Beautiful! Home was comfortable and had everything we needed. The view was incredible and the beach of course was heaven.
Thank you for sharing your home!

Too bad that the cloud cover prevented you from seeing the Northern Lights! It is an unforgettable experience for those who are fortunate enough to witness it. Maybe another time! Thank you.
Great Cottage for a Quiet, Relaxing Get Away
We very much enjoyed our stay at this sandy beach cottage on Lake Superior. Big Traverse Bay, where the cottage is located, is reported to have the best beach on the Keweenaw Peninsula that few people know about. We were blessed to see and have experienced it first hand. The property is well stocked, clean and comfy, with a gas grill, a working gas fireplace, and a nice fire pit on the beach - a choice location for making s'mores and watching stars. There also were plentiful wild blueberries right outside the cottage door, which we enjoyed each morning for breakfast. Cell phone coverage in the area is spotty, because of the remote location, but the cottage has a land-line phone available for use if needed. The property owners, Aleda and Chuck, promptly and cheerfully answered of our our pre-trip questions, met us as scheduled on arrival, and timely responded to all questions throughout our stay. We look forward to returning for another visit.
Thank you for your stay at the cottage. You were able to see the different faces of Lake Superior. At arrival the waves were showing "attitude" as they were crashing unto the beach. By the time of departure, the lake was peaceful with maybe a ripple. No matter what its disposition is, Lake Superior is always captivating! Hope to see you again!
Public boat launch nearly 3 miles from the cottage.
