Merci Mme Raine .....

Inoubliable séjour !

  • 5 of 5

The Old Mansion House a dépassé toutes mes attentes, et de loin.

A beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 20 stayed in The Old Mansion House for 3 nights for a family reunion. We rented the entire house and the additional suite. There was more than enough room for all of us. The kitchen was very well equipped and clean. On arrival the entire house was spotless. The owner Barbara answered all of my questions and was very pleasant to communicate with. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed playing with the supplied sports equipment. It was a great experience and we will without a doubt be returning. Thank you Barbara for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Fabulous chalet for large group

  • 5 of 5

We stay in this chalet in May 2015 for a long weekend and had a good time there. We are a big group of 16 people and it's not always easy to find a chalet which can accommodate all of us with a reasonable price, this chalet meets all of our requirements.

The chalet is huge! The rooms are clean and each bedroom has its own private bathroom, which is very continent. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, the refrigerator and dishwasher are bigger than normal size and has plenty room for food and dishes. The corridor attached to the house is so nice to just sitting there and enjoying the nature around. There is also a big backyard with volleyball net and we had lots of fun playing the badminton and volleyball, there is even a lovely hammock where you can even take a good afternoon nap. 

The location is also good and close to the sightseeing/activity sites such as Lake Magog, Mont Oxford and Coaticook Gorge, it’s all within 30mins drive.

Overall, we were very happy with our stay and looking forward to come back again!

Wedding at The Old Mansion House

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at The Old Mansion House for a week last summer, and successfully held a small gathering for our intimate Wedding. We were happy with our accommodations and felt it was the perfect setting for family coming from abroad and near. There were some concerns I wanted to address, however, for future people wanting the same sort of vacation setting.

*Communication was at best, dismal. Barbara could easily get in contact with me, however, when I tried contacting her, it would sometimes take days or weeks to hear back.

*International customers should be provided easier international money transfer options.

*In the description of the home, it should be noted that the customer will have to pay $500 for a maids fee, in cash, upon arrival to the home.

*No toilet paper, paper towel, garbage bags, or soap is provided at the home.

*Empty propane tank was provided. We had to buy our own.

*Upon arrival, the maids were still cleaning, and upon departure, a week later, the maids came in two to three hours before our agreed departure time.

All in all, the house was perfect, however, the owner fell short on her customer service skills, and these misrepresentations made things more of a hassle upon our arrival.

Absolutely lovely house and great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely house for nearly a week. Despite being large enough to cater for a very big group, there are so many different places to sit and enjoy the quiet that it also feels quite cosy. The kitchen is very well fitted out, the bedrooms comfortable and the lounges just terrific. We have never been to this part of Canada before, and found Georgeville a perfect place for 'hanging out on the dock' (which seems to be a local past time!) or making day trips further afield. A very relaxing week indeed. Thank you.

Georgeville is a beautiful historic village on the shores of Lake Memphremagog. The village is nestled in the mountains and rural countryside of Quebec's Eastern Townships (Estrie) yet is only 20 minutes away from the vibrant, bustling tourist town of Magog .

In summer there is cycling, hiking, boating, swimming and golf virtually on our doorstep and there are wineries, pick-your-own fruit farms and farmers' markets to visit. In the fall the Foliage/Fall Colours to be seen are as magnificent as anywhere on this continent. In winter we have four major ski hills within a short drive. And at the end of winter the warm fragrances of the local maple sugar shacks are simmering away awaiting your visit.

Golf: Inverugie

Ski: Orford, Owls Head, Jay Peak, Sutton
