This 3rd floor one bedroom suite features a full sized, open kitchen and living room that looks out onto a great view of the city and neighborhood. This brand new unit has polished hardwood floors throughout the unit, central air, marble countertops and new stainless steel appliances. The bedroom features a queen mattress set, nightstand, reading lamp and alarm clock. The bathroom has a beautiful tile surround tub and shower combo. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans and cooking utensils, along with oven, range and refrigerator and there is a dining table that seats four. The living room has a flat screen TV and the sofa pulls out to a queen bed which makes this the perfect unit for two to four people.

Most of our units are designed to be interchangeable and each unit has at least one "like-kind" unit within the same building that is similar in size and identical in amenities as well as sleeping capacity. In most cases the unit you have reserved is the unit you will be staying in, however, we reserve the right to put you in a like-kind unit for the term of your rental. If you are given a like-kind unit it is guaranteed to be in the same building and no more than one floor above the unit you have reserved (this only applies to buildings without elevators). If your unit is going to be changed to a like-kind unit you will be notified at least 24 hours in advance.

All units are equipped with wireless internet, irons, ironing boards, hair dryers, coffee makers, tea kettles, toasters, microwaves, linens and towels, as well as a guest book with instructions and recommendations.

All building and unit doors are on secure, code-activated locks so coordinating key pick-up and drop-off is not necessary. This unit is accessed using stairs (there is no elevator) and is a 3rd floor walk-up. The building has a common laundry room that has two sets of washer/dryers which are free of charge to our guests and are available between the hours of 4pm and 11am.

There is a parking a half block north on Northampton Street that takes cars for $1 per hour for long term stays. Parking is available at our sister property a few blocks away on East Springfield Street that may be reserved for an additional charge, but is subject to availability (Click Here to reserve a spot).

Built in 1874 and beautifully restored to its former glory in collaboration with the National Parks Service and the South End Landmarks Association, this classic Boston property marries original 20th century charm and detail with modern luxuries in the South End neighborhood, one of Boston’s trendiest because of its vibrant restaurants and night life. The unit has great access to public transit, and is conveniently located within a 20 minute walk to most of Boston’s best tourist locations including Fenway Park, the Charles River, the Freedom Trail and the Boston Common.

Less than what we expected...

Although the space itself was a good size, I had to call (and leave a message,no one picked up)3 times to the maintenance #, once because our coffee pot was unusable and twice because the tank less hot water tank failed to work. The third time it happened my husband had to restart it himself. There were ants in the bathroom and the parking spot we reserved was at least a 15 minute walk from the actual apartment. I also didn't understand why if we were paying a cleaning fee , why we had to bring out our garbage,recycling and take the linens off the bed for the next occupant.

NOT AS NICE AS IN THE PICTURES

I stayed there last weekend for 4 nights. We got to the apartment on Thursday night, the shower was completely clogged, the bathroom lacks any shelves to store items, the kitchen utensils and glasses/dishes were very dirty, the lamps in the living room were broken, and a big water stain on the living-room ceiling.

The bedroom is way too small for the size of the bed, there's no room to walk around the bed. The closet is broken and the light fixture not working.

It's a nice little apartment with lots of potential, but it's clear that the company who runs it doesn't care enough. With a little care this would be a much nicer place. It didn't ruin our vacation, but it for sure wasn't the highlight either.

The area is ok, a little noisy but that's not the fault. A little note would be nice.

decent place to stay

My sister and I opted for an apt rather than a hotel and other than climbing up a few flights of stairs everyday, it was a decent choice. The apt was clean and had extra towels and linens. We didn't actually need to cook but it was nice to have a kitchen ie cleaning water bottles, having somewhere to snack at. We got in early on Thurs morning and were allowed to 'check-in' early which we were thankful for since we took a redeye into Boston. When we got in, the wifi was not hooked up and there was no hairdryer. I contacted 'management' and Corey replied right away and came in and set up the wifi and told me he would find a hairdryer for me and when I got back later that day, there was one outside the apt waiting.

The area gets a little noisy at night, at least during our stay, lots of ambulances rushing by and cars honking and you can also hear the car repair shop across the street in the morning. Location was ok. I knew what I was getting into when I decided to rent in the South End, but after 4-6 mi of walking everyday in Boston, the extra 20 min from Boston Common or Newbury St/Copley Sq made it just that much further. But the Mass Ave T station is just a short walk down Mass Ave and can get you anywhere from there (we just decided to walk everywhere). The original Flour bakery is less than 10 min away too!

There are a few restaurants/cafes in the area that were always busy- Estelle's just a few doors down, Parish Cafe that's kiddy corner and Francesca's cafe a couple blocks down. We didn't get a chance to visit Estelle's but whenever we passed by it later in the evening, it was full. Parish Cafe was full for lunch most days (we visited their location on Bolyston) and it was good. Francesca's coffee was good and their staff was friendly. My sis and I never had any issues with sketchy people in the area. In fact, someone working at Estelle's stood outside most nights, possibly the owner, and always said hi to us and asked how we were.

Anyhow, no big complaints about this rental. I'm not sure I'd stay this far from the 'attractions' again, but I'd like to think I burned more calories walking that extra mile to/from the apt everyday so I could eat more cannolis and lobster rolls! ;)

Fabulous Honeymoon

The apartment was perfect for my husband and I with easy to use keyless entries. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, organized, and well stocked. The location is safe and walking distance to great attractions....I highly recommend Parish cafe with a great beer selection. We also visited the Boston University School of Public Health, which was a short walk away making my meetings there very convenient. The owner is professional and timely with correspondence. I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family, as well as stay here again on another trip to Boston.

Great apartment

This was a great apartment for our short stay. We found everything we needed for our stay with 3 people. Sleeper sofa has an inflatable matress which was pretty comfortable. The stairs were a bit narrow, but we got our luggage up and down no problem. Using door codes instead of keys made it really easy to get in and out, even when the 3 of us staying there went in our separate directions. The location is close enough to the T that we could get anywhere within 10 minutes and the neighborhood is really cute with good coffee and meals near by. The binder in the apartment with recommendations for food and drinks was really helplful. We'd go to every place we tried from that binder again.
